Mohammad allegedly wrote the koran based on what an angel told him. The Koran is an angel's word according to Mohammed.
I've often wondered if that angel wasn't Satan.
Wow.
Um, no. I don’t bring judgment. But facts are facts. Beware.
invade their lands and give them a choice: convert or die
That sounds to me like judgment. I don't recall Jesus teaching that path.
Let’s recall that the comment Anne Coulter made was closer to, “invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them.” “Convert them” is exactly what Jesus taught when He said to go and make disciples of the nations.
We may quibble about killing their leaders, but death was a penalty for many of the laws that Jesus came to fulfill. Indeed, His objection against stoning the adulteress was not that the penalty was too sever, but that there was no one qualified to administer it.
Are you saying we shouldn’t be killing the leaders of terrorism?
Now is the time to convince your family to make sure there is a good back-up supply of food and water. I realize that in other countries, daily marketing is normal, and it might be hard to convince them of the advantages of having food stored, but try anyway.
What you can do is to ask them to think of three meals that they would like to eat from stored dried and canned foods. Rice and Pasta store pretty well.
Add in some canned protein of their preference, some canned fruits and veggies, and some sweets. Storing water is very important! At least a gallon per person per day.
Then, eat those three meals every week, and perfect them for taste, making sure the spices and condiments are also stored. As each meal is eaten, replace the ingredients promptly, putting the new ingredients at the back of the stockpile.
Many of us here in the USA do this as a matter of course, for we never know when a very bad hurricane, tornado, or earthquake will hit, or we will be snowed in and unable to get to the market, and out power will be out.
Having a means to heat up food is important too, as well as candles or other alternative means of lighting.
Being prepared this way can mean survival in some circumstances. But, I know it doesn’t seem natural when one is used to marketing every day.
Good fortune to you and your family, Indian Fighter Kite. We are so relieved that the horror has passed, and we hope it never returns! We pray for those who have lost loved ones, for we know how deeply the pain is felt.
One difference between Jesus and Mohammod was that Jesus preached that those who rejected him would face consequences in the afterlife. Mo preached for his followers to kill all that rejected him.
Another difference was that Jesus killed no one, raped no one, stole from no one. Meanwhile Mo was an illiterate bandit chief who murdered, raped, and stole his way across Arabia.
Ok, not sure why we are having this discussion comparing Jesus to mad-Mo, but Jesus preached that the kingdom of heaven was at hand, and taught us to pray that our earthly lives would be like heaven. Reread His teachings, and I think you will find He was talking just as much about this life as the next. Everyone’s religion promised heaven; Jesus was more about loving your neighbor here and now.
And surely Jesus was just, and loving, but I wonder, where did His disciples get the idea that He would consider calling down fire on an inhospitable village? Again, my premise is that Jesus was and is very different than many picture Him to be and have been.
Oh, forgot one good source of protein that is easy to store!
Dried beans, like lentils. These cook up easily, can be seasoned in many ways, and can be combined with grains to make a complete protein.
From what you say, it seems that we should kill them only if there's someone without sin to cast that stone, right?
But don't ask me...I'm not Christian--I support capital punishment.
In any case, that's off-topic. The point is, if you're wanting to convert them, to what should they be converted? As I pointed out in earlier posts, the idea of killing those who don't convert is simply not Christianity. It sounds more like Islam, and that's their current religion.
"Wanting to convert them" is not an option for those who profess to love the living God and their neighbor. His Son commanded us to make disciples - to teach the nations the truth about His Father. My point is that Jesus taught that those who don't accept this truth (or convert, if you like) will die. Nothing controversial there - it is a fundamental tenet of Christianity.
Yes ! we can use spices and make a really great dish of dried beans .
Will purchase it in a week .
