Mumbai: At least 15 people have been injured in gunfights between two groups in at least three places in Mumbai on Thursday night.
Details are sketchy but it is believed that two gangs fired at each other at outside CST Railway Terminus, Hotel Oberoi and the popular Café Leopold restaurant in Mumbai.
The first shooting took place near the CST police station

Forces believe that terrorists still have hostages at Oberoi.
Patrons afraid to open doors for security teams.
Army forces HAVE SUFFERED CASUALTIES.
UPDATE-Above is in regard to the TAJ, not the Oberoi
NSG Chief confirms that contact has been established with a terrorist holed up in Heritage wing of Taj.
2 Terrorists killed today
That's the kind of contact I want to establish.
sounds like the indian armed forces have taken casualties at the Taj..live presser saying they won’t say how many right now(or if any have died) becasue it may effect the terrorists mentality..
so that implies quite a few I would think
“Army General “Several” foriegn guests have lost thier lives at the Taj.
Several twitter reports that the officer leading the assault on the Nariman/Chabad was killed in the opening moments of the assault.
6 IDF personel are believed to be “Assisting” Indian authorities there.
.
Person of few words, are you?
It’s good to see that the Indians didn’t wait around to find out why the terrorists were mad, or worry that they might get angry is their cowardly acts were met with force. I wish the US had more of that attitude.
I’m still wondering what the payoff is for the terrorists here. They could have killed the same number of people with a few bombs, if they were just going for casualties. They must have know the military would get involved, but I think it unlikely they went to all that trouble and planning just to end it in a firefight.
I have a strange feeling this is either a cover or a trigger, but not the terminal objective.

OPINION:
Terrorism.
The terrorists made one primary point by this attack and it is:
No country is too big for us to attack — any place — any where.
Global jihad — another day.
“I wish the US had more of that attitude.”
We are nuetered sheep now. Slaughter us at your pleaseure, free from recrimination or fear of reprisal.
10-15 new shots fired @ Nariman House
Oberon - 100 people still hostage. Still terrorists in that separate hotel located next to the Trident.
Taj - Most evacuated. May still be 1 to 2 terrorists in Taj.
so how many hotels are involved? four?
I thought only two
Just reported on NDTV that the Trident and Oberon are adjacent hotels that were simultaneously attacked. Both had separate hostage situations. Owned by same company. That has been causing confusing reports.
So three Hotels and the House were still under siege today/yesterday.
