Alan Keyes Tells Us Why He Questions Obama's Presidency

The Constitution requires that, to be president, one must be a natural born citizen of the United States. Conservative Alan Keyes-who ran against President-elect Barack Obama in the 2004 race for the Illinois Senate, and in the 2008 U.S. presidential campaign (Keyes ran on the American Independent Party ticket)-is challenging whether that is the case for our new president. In November, Keyes filed a lawsuit against Obama, the California secretary of state, and others, to stop California from giving its electoral votes to Obama until a birth certificate is produced proving that he is indeed a natural born citizen. ESSENCE.com talked to Keyes about where he thinks Obama was born, why he questions the birth records already provided, and if this whole lawsuit is just an overblown case of sour grapes.

It seems like this story just came out of the blue and now it's in a Black magazine!

Is Neil Young a prophet?

Out of the blue and into the black
They give you this, but you pay for that
And once you're gone, you can never come back
When you're out of the blue and into the black

You know, I didn’t even know Keyes was running on the indie ticket. I wonder if we’d see the same election results if Keyes was running as a Republican. Keyes was qualified when he ran 12 years ago, all the more so now.

I really want to see his lawsuit go through. As Rev. Manning said, “Barack Hussein Obama, produce the cotton-pickin’ birth certificate already!” And as somebody quoted in a separate post, Rev. Manning also said “Alan Keyes, Boom Shaka Laka!”

Indeed!

Keyes ran as a Republican. The media blocked out his campaign along with Duncan Hunter and others’.

I voted for Alan Keyes in the late in the election cycle Texas primary when we were TOLD the only remaining Republican candidates were John McCain and Huckabee.

Alan Keyes got 6% of the vote in Texas.

AFTER the GOP nomination was secured, Alan Keyes opted to run in the general election as an independent.

I’m no racist, out of the candidates on my ballot in Texas, I voted for Alan Keyes. I voted against OBAMA(tm) on politics, not skin color.

why he questions the birth records already provided

Because they have not been provided and what was presented was shown to be a fake.

A Constitutional crisis is lurking in the darkness in the coming 4 years. And it is not whether the manger the great one was born in was located in Kenya or Cleveland. No, this one is bigger. . . Article 1 section 9 of the US Constitution states “No title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States; and no person holding any office shall, without Consent of Congress, accept any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince or foreign State”

The world is waiting for their King and savior and leave it to a bunch of long hairs 200 years ago to mess it all up!

All Hail the Messiah Barack Obama!

This development is actually quite significant.

Not only is a major media outlet giving column inches to this story, but it’s a publication which is specifically targeted to the black female demographic, who voted nearly unanimously for Obama.

Blacks in particular have been overbearingly protective of Obama, and almost universally unwilling to entertain any criticism of the man. I know, because I was slashed and beat about the head by my own family throughout the 2008 campaign.

You see, I’m the only conservative Republican in the family.

That Essence Magazine (online) would give Alan Keyes a fair hearing about this case, which is essentially threatening to knock The Omnipotent One from his assured place upon the throne of the US Presidency, is just amazing to me.

I have no doubt that even if my sisters don’t personally read at that site, soon enough, they’ll get an email from some friend saying, “Have you seen this!!!????”

I think that’s terrific.

Surprisingly, the Essence thread is not very receptive to diverse points of view being posted.

Imagine that.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if the black media “outed” this whole issue. It would certainly give it some credibility. Maybe we should all be watching BET for the next few days. Don’t even know if they carry a newscast!

I am completely amazed after reading this article.

Why?

Because this may be the very first civil, objective, and comprehensive discourse ever published regarding this issue outside of the blogosphere.

ESSENCE, probably the most prominent black culture publication, sat down with Alan Keyes and asked pointed and logical questions and allowed Alan Keyes to lay out this case in it's entirety. Aside from the Indonesian citizenship possibility, they published the crux of the entire crisis! And they did a great job playing devil's advocate as well.

Is it now acceptable for CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, and FOX to now dare mention this issue??

Windflier,

See my post #13. I noticed yours after I posted almost the exact same response. This interview in ESSENCE may very well be the seed that takes root in the MSM regarding this issue.

Great interview! Keyes has clearly stated the case and the impact of neglecting to verify Oshama’s claims of birth.

What follows is a partial list of people and organizations that have challenged Obama’s eligibility. Further on I will comment on how egregious the media’s failure to cover this story has been. And last, I will speculate on the reason for the cover-up of this full-blown scandal.

Well, I tried to post there but it doesn't seem to work for my browser set-up. Here's what I tried to post.
Just to clear up some facts:
  1. Alan Keyes is blacker than Obama. Just the truth. You can look at the picture to check that out.

  2. The Democratic Party was the party that supported slavery before the Civil War, and then afterwords fiercely supported segregation.

  3. The Republican Party was formed to stop slavery. Lincoln was a Republican.

  4. The Democratic Party in the South was pretty much the same as the KKK for many many years. Democratic Senator Robert Byrd was a Klansman, even a white-power advocate for many of his years. Al Gore's dad, when a Senator opposed school integration, along with all the Southern Democrats.

  5. It was the Republicans who fought to stop slavery, it was mostly Republicans who fought to stop segregation. It is Republicans -- for the most part today -- who pursue policies of economic liberation that allow all individuals a chance to build their business and wealth as free men.

  6. It is Democrats who nearly all pursue economic policies of dependency, or slave-like rule over all by a Washington DC elite.

  7. Obama is half-white. His mom's family appears to have included slave owners. His dad was never a US citizen. Just because his dad was not a citizen, it may be that the "natural born" clause of the Constitution bars him from being President.

  8. Obama is a Democrat.

  9. Democrats have historically been the party of black oppression.

  10. Republicans have historically been the party of black liberation.

  11. Alan Keyes is still blacker than Obama.

  12. The State of Hawaii has never said that Obama was born in Honolulu. They have only said that they have a birth certification for him. They also have a birth certification for Maya Soetoro, his half-sister by his white mom and his Indonesian adoptive Dad. Maya was born in the Asian Pacific country of Indonesia, and not in Hawaii, but Hawaii has a birth certification for her. Truth up.

  13. Democrats are the party of the KKK. Democrats seek victims to oppress. But Democrats are fun! They come off as kindly. The smiles and appearance of fellowship work better than shackles and whips to oppress. Truth up.

  14. Republicans can be boring, stiff, and stand-offish. They seem like they aren't down with the struggle. But that's not the truth underneath. Underneath and in history it is the Republicans who are the advocate of the free man, and who hate making people slaves or serfs, or underclass. Truth up.

  15. Obama is whiter than white. In my opinion. He's a Democrat.

  16. You get what you vote for.

  17. There are rules, laws. Sometimes they save us from mistakes -- even those we voted for and are so much in love with!

Best Regards, all.

“The Republican Party was formed to stop slavery. Lincoln was a Republican.”

Dr. King was also, most likely, a Republican.

I posted almost the exact same response.

Great minds think alike, eh?

Essence Magazine is the first top tier media organ that's covered this, I think. There was another article I ran across last night which was posted in an online journal "by way of the Washington Post", or so it claimed.

I think we're beginning to see this thing push through the cracks of the MSM. The weight and growing pressure of the story is like water piling up behind a weakening dam. It's going to give at some point, and become a flood.
