Stanford law Professor Tino Cuéllar was named this week to lead President-elect Barack Obama's transition working group on immigration, putting him among the many scholars from the Bay Area who are helping shape the next administration.lawyers and immigration experts across the country praised him Friday for his intellect and his grasp of both regulatory minutiae and the big picture of American immigration policy. "He's brilliant beyond his years," said John Trasviña, president of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, who met Cuéllar when he was a law student at Yale and encouraged him to go to work in Washington. At 36, Cuéllar already has an impressive resume. Raised on the U.S.-Mexico border in Calexico (Imperial County), he earned his bachelor's degree at Harvard University before going to Yale Law School and finishing up with a doctorate in political science from Stanford, where he's now a full professor specializing in administrative law. Cuéllar has been described as a close adviser to Obama on immigration, and the American Bar Association recently suggested he could be on the short list to head the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency.

Thrillin’ aint it ??????
That's not saying much in this day and age. We've got morons walking around with college diplomas (Tuition receipts).
I don’t know if anyone could open the door wider than it has been the last eight years of this Republican administration.
Obama has his shamnesty team in place
And McCain will be right there to lead the charge for the Pubs, again.
L
Affirmative Action Baby-just like Obama.
Get used to this.
Professors, most with zero real-life cred, from “elite” institutions running our now-diseased country.
God help us.
Between Obama and McCain, we should see 25 million more “migrants” arriving over the duration of the Obama administration. The Republicans had better get accustmed to going extinct.
Let’s see, San Fran illegal immigration advocate to head president’s workgroup. Maybe we can increase the number of sanctuary cities and dead citizens murdered by illegal aliens.
When I was “...scholars from the bay area...”, I quit reading.
If EVER there were an oxymoron......
Oh, for a minute I thought it meant the team of lawyers fighting to show he isn’t an immigrant himself.
Happy Thanksgiving Day
Lets not continue to be turkeys about the illegal alien problem...

Wow - why does he need the “most brilliant” amongst us to grant amnesty for illegals?
this professional open borders advocate worked in the Clinton Justice Dpeartment, on money laundering, to boot.
Yes, a bipartisan one with the King of shamnesty, McCain, lending his support.
Yeah, he’s brilliant, so what?
Can he tell the difference between legal and illegal?
...so he wouldn’t pass the 63 page questionaire that the rest of us are required to fill out? Why am I not surprised...
Who else thinks a guy named “TINO” should not be in charge of immigration???
