There is Only One Great Commandment, unlike A-G's earlier work,
Don't Let Science Get You Down, Timothy, is "science-lite," devoted instead to issues of deep spirituality. It is a Christian work, but not a specifically "religious" one: It does not regard the doctrines and sects of men. Instead, it focuses on the core truths of Christianity as expounded in the Holy Bible. In short, it focuses on what all faithful Christians believe and hold in common, not on the ways in which they may differ; e.g., on doctrinal points.
But more than this, Alamo-Girl's testimony shows us how to walk with God in our lives something she has been doing for nearly five decades. Her main testimony in this book is that there is only ONE Great Commandment, the first: To love God with one's whole heart and soul and mind; that is, to love Him surpassingly above all else. When one is centered in God, all else flows naturally from that, including the love of neighbor. And we begin to bear the image of Christ in our soul....
This work is extraordinarily lovely and spiritually powerful. A labor of love, it is an invitation to "all ye that labor" to "come unto Him," to learn from Him, Christ our Lord. "And He shall give thee rest."
In this chaotic, secularized world we live in, this book shows you how to gain meaning and peace in your life.
I keep my copy close by!
Again, Alamo-Girl, Congratulations and Thank You for this labor of Love!
