Even as the U.S. Senate race recount forged ahead, both sides are massing their troops in the next battle over piles of disputed ballots. With the U.S. Senate recount still incomplete, attorneys on both sides have already armored up for the next pitched battle: over whether to reexamine thousands of rejected absentee ballots.

How did somebody who doesn’t understand the difference between electoral votes and popular votes manage to find FR?

Then each voter should recieve a receipt with a code that can verify that person's vote actually recorded correctly.

LOL -- with all these ridiculous "anti-fraud" notions, you've included a grand wellspring of fraud that is to ordinary shenanigans what Hiroshima was to a firecracker.

Actually, the election should be distributed over at least a week, to provide sufficient time for things to be done right.

I'm cool with that, but we've survived for all this time with a "vote day" why do we need a week?

Your proposal is ridiculous (for one thing, the military are our servants, not out masters, and therefore may not be permitted any special privileges denied to civilians).

But they're subject to abuse by those that don't want their votes to count, all the while they put their LIVES on the line to protect our country, our way of life, our votes, our Constitution. Why allow any tampering legally with their votes? That's what Gore was doing, that is what I read was happening this time around, trying to wipe their votes because they weren't in by the due date.

wouldn't you want to go online to verify your votes? If you have a better idea, I'm all Obama-ears.
