A memorial to a murderous socialist thug in the heart of the heart of capitalism:
The base of the sculpture is inscribed with a Che quote that my ignorance of Spanish prohibited me from deciphering. But Im pretty sure it wasnt an apology for committing acts of terror and helping to derail a country for nearly half a century.Ive never understood the lefts fascination with Che. I mean sure, hes a socialist and that ostensibly means hes a member of the peoples revolution or whatever euphemism the extremist proponents of government-run everything use for themselves. But the reality of Che doesnt really match up to myth of Che carried in the hearts (and on the backpacks and t-shirts) of aging hippies and immature college students everywhere.
For instance, did you know that Che Guevera was a terrorist who plotted the murder of tens of thousands of innocents? Well, maybe that doesnt matter so much given that Bill Ayers was given a pass for plotting the same sort of things. Bug Guevera was also known to rail against rock 'n roll, "long hairs" and homosexuals in his speeches. He was a racist who mocked black Cubans and segregated them in his revolutionary movement. And he was a book burner who personally hosted bonfires fed by the libraries of intellectuals.
Are those things really worth celebrating?
You are correct in your assertion. However, the general public derides individuals and groups with these fascinations, especially Hitler. Anyone wearing a Hitler tshirt in public would be scorned. The left is held to a different standard. The general public never questions those who worship leftist mass murders like Che.
Hitler was a leftist mass murderer.
He certainly was a leftist mass murderer, but he is perceived as right-wing by the confused public and media. In his economic philosophy, Hitler seems quite aligned with our rat party. Hitler never denied the existence of private property. He just wanted to exercise effective control. Hitler was also quite good at class warfare. I have never understood Hitler's hatred of the communists. Perhaps it was more of a rivalry than abhorrence to the commie ideals.
Lenin himself published pamphlets instructing his followers how to murder police. One particularly gruesome pamphlet involved the use of acid as a murder weapon.
And inspired Ayers and Dohrn?
The Venezuelan people give their opinion of their mass murderer new god at 3AM. The next day....
Don’t tell me that this statue still exists!? If so, where?
Communist occupied and enslaved downtown Caracas, Venezuela.
They have a statue of Hitler in Caracas?
Gives a whole new meaning to the famous quote from Duke Nukem.

The statue will be temporarily displayed at the SE entrance to the park, across the street from the Plaza Hotel. If it were to be a permanent addition to the park itself I promise you that I personally would not let it stand.
I would make a 04:00, mid-week, cold, rainy February visit. I do know how to use the shadows.
It is not central Park. The statue travels the world. It will be placed at the SE entrance for a short while only.
Aaaah, makes it all nice, no? I'm not one to spit, but if I ever feel the need, I now know a good spot. I wonder what it would take to get a permit to have a porta-potty installed next to the 'art'...
Ugh, that’s disturbing. I could have lived quite well without knowing that, but it’s good to know, thanks. That murderous ba$7ard gets a statue in commie Seattle. It’s disgusting.
Maybe The Sock Puppet will praise the construction of this statue in his first State of the Union. He should also mention that college campus with the statue of Lenin.
Portland, OR has a statue of lenin in a surburban city park. Disgusting!!! So no surprise NYC is “honoring” another mass murderer.
LOL! Duke Nukem has a way with words!
Is the lenin statue in Portland or Seattle?
