Romney Socialisim Alert
Vanity Fox & Friends ^ | 11/20/08 | NavVet

Romney was just interviewed on Fox and Friends and said that it was unfair that that the Big Three American Automakers were burdened by the high retirement costs and that we had to "make sure those cost were shared by the transplants (Toyota, Honda, VW etc.).

You Romney people LIE frequently, and below is proof. Hey, Rameuptom, you never did answer my post. Remember this? On Nov. 12, on a thread titled (Mitt Romney) Cruisin' Toward 2012? you posted in reply to a post by me:

To: Finny

>>It's ironic, because indeed, the Romney fans engage in lying ("Rush Limbaugh supported Romney!")

Who did Rush Limbaugh endorse Feb. 5th, 2008?

Who did Rush vote for in the booth in FL in the primaries? (it wasn't McCain or Huck)

Who did Rush Limbaugh call Reaganesque on his show? (Hint it had something to do with a "Faith in America" speech)

RUSH: I think now, based on the way the campaign has shaken out, that there probably is a candidate on our side who does embody all three legs of the conservative stool, and that’s Romney. The three stools or the three legs of the stool are national security/foreign policy, the social conservatives, and the fiscal conservatives. The social conservatives are the cultural people. The fiscal conservatives are the economic crowd: low taxes, smaller government, get out of the way.

Rameumptom, two posts later, I asked:

Is there some other evidence that Rush officially "endorsed" Romney? Because if you are going to take that quote and call it an "endorsement," then I ain't buying it, and maintain that you are a liar if that's all you've got in the way of claiming that Rush "endorsed" Romney.

My guess is that Rush no more endorsed Romney than he endorsed Thompson -- RUSH NEVER OFFICIALLY ENDORSED THOMPSON or any other candidate, and I have never claimed he did. I've said that it's as close to an endorsement as I've ever heard, the high, direct praise of Thompson when Rush described him as the ONLY conservative on the stage of the primary debate....

And again, I'd sure like to see the direct transcript or quote in which Rush states that he actually voted for Romney "in the booth in FL in the primaries," as you say Rush did vote. Or that he gave a real live bona-fide endorsement to on Feb. 5th. ...
--------------------------- A little later, I found a post on another thread by FReeper Ingtar where he wrote to another Romney LIAR:

I’m sorry you think that Limbaugh supported Romney. He did no such thing. In the very show that many Romney supporters pull what they think is his support of Romney, Rush plays clips of Romney’s answers and proclaims: “This is not Conservative.”

HELLO? ANYBODY THERE? In case you forgotten, Rameuptom, you NEVER REPLIED. I think I know why: BECAUSE YOU WERE LYING. You wrote and stated as fact that Rush "endorsed" Romney; you very sneakily said as fact that he "voted for Romney in the booth" in the Florida Primaries" without actually saying it by posing it as a question; you took lukewarm praise from Rush (the "Reaganesque" thing had nothing to do with praising Romney's politics; it was praise for an eloquent speech about religion in America) and twisted it into a LIE saying that therefore: Rush endorsed and voted for Romney!

Now, maybe my memory is faulty, but I don't recall Thompson supporters falsley claiming that Rush "endorsed" or "supported" Thompson even after he stated on his show unequivocally: My friends, there was only one conservative on the stage last night, and that candidate was Fred Thompson. Any Thompson supporter who then turned around and claimed as FACT that Rush "endorsed" or "supported" Thompson would have been LYING, and even though I was a total Thompson supporter, I would have called them on it, and rightly.

You Romney people have a lot of nerve accusing we Romney Stompers of lying when YOU HAVE OUTRIGHT LIED dozens, hudreds of times, when you post as fact that Rush "endorsed" Romney and voted for him in the primaries, and I will maintain that until you can show me a transcript in which Rush states clearly otherwise. I've see one of you Romney supporters post as FACT that Mark Levin "supported" Romney. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not, but I know you ALREADY LIE about Rush, so I figure you're probably also lying about Mark Levin, especially since I heard him with my own ears refer to Thompson as "my guy" on one of his radio show during the rare, lucky times I got to listen.

Probably the most insulting of all is how many of you Romney people attribute to "hatred" and religious bigotry against the LDS my and others objections to Romney's RECORD of big-governement politics and repeated betrayal of conservative principles. You are just like Obama supporters who cry "racist!" at every criticism of Obama's politics. You people epitomize all of the reasons true, thinking Republicans should be on the warpath against Romney and do everything we can to stomp him out like a cockroach NOW.

YOU ROMNEY PEOPLE HAVE A POSTED RECORD OF LYING about who supported and endorsed Romney. If Romney's horrible record wasn't enough (and it's plenty), the behavior of his supporters on this board would be enough for me to work diligently to see he never gets close to Republican political office EVER.

The poster obviously heard what he wanted to hear.

I think you are right. More Romney Derangement Syndrome.

Here is the F&F video and the transcript from Cavuto. Mitt doesn't say anything like that. He discusses losing market share, but NOT sharing the burden. My guess is that this is partially a comprehension issue coupled with RDS.

Fox & Friends

Cavuto Transcript

ROMNEY: Well, you know, you have to hope that Congress is wise enough, here, to recognize that just throwing money at the auto industry is not going to help it long term.

And they're going to have to work with the industry as a partner to restructure the industry, to bring its costs down, to take the burdens off its back, so that the automobile companies can make automobiles that are effectively competitive with those coming from other nations. And, unless we do that, you're going to keep on seeing that domestic manufacturers lose share, year after year after year, and lose jobs.

I want to protect and grow jobs in the auto industry. And so, as the government prepares to put in billions of dollars to that industry, let's make sure that, as part of this effort, that we invest in companies that are newly streamlined, more economic, more efficient, and that we've really created a bright future for the American automobile sector.

Surprise. Surprise. NOT. Romney who is in BED with FOX,
got FOX to delete the relevant transcript.

It is deleted in the section entitled “CROSSTALK”

NavVet was correct again, until proven otherwise.
AND it is important to find out why FOX deleted this.

ROMNEY: Well, you know, you look at what happened in Great Britain. Their auto industry was noncompetitive. The burdens were too great. The government said, “OK, we will give you some money to allow you to stay in business.” But, over time, they lost more and more market share. Ultimately, the industry liquidated. British Leland is gone.

In our case, we should use this opportunity, not to walk away from the industry — I’m not suggesting that the federal government isn’t a partner — but instead, as a partner, working with the industry to help them, either through a bankruptcy filing or through special legislation or through an out-of-court settlement, help them with their labor unions, their retirees, their suppliers, their real estate holdings.

Help them with all the parties involved to reduce the burdens on these companies on a permanent basis, so they can be competitive with the Japanese cars that are made here, the German cars that are made here. Look at what’s happening in America. You have, right now, a number of foreign companies that have manufacturing facilities here, and they’re making money and growing. We want to make sure that our companies that live here are also making money and growing. And there’s no reason...

CAVUTO: But that’s harder to do...

(CROSSTALK)

ROMNEY: ... they can’t.

Rush offered the faintest praise of Romney, and you Romney suporters “heard what you wanted to hear” to the point that some of you have repeatedly posted as fact the lie that Rush “endorsed,” “supported,” and even voted for Romney. Look in the mirror.

Once again, you’re stretching for something that’s not there. Fox did not delete anything. Cross-talk means that both men were speaking at the same time.

I listened to the interview LIVE yesterday. If I would have heard somethingn socialistic, I would be honest and say so. I just listened to it again. Here are the missing words:

“And there’s no reason with a restructuring they can’t.”

Wow! Now, that’s something, isn’t it? A revelation.

It was on Fox and Friends this morning. And unelss you are also going to call those who have it on TiVo liars, then give it a rest.

You’re in love with a RINO, just come to terms with that and give it a rest.

We all saw what the CBS did to the Palin Transcript
- to make her look bad. It was fabricated.

I trust a TIVO report before any
FOX-PBS-CNN-NBC-ABC released, biased ‘transcript’.

So as said, before, post the entire transcript including
the words NavVet and others discussed. Thanks.

You have it on TIVO. Transcribe it for us. It’s only a sentence or two, correct? We want to be sure of what you heard is all.

Mr. Romney is talking about a Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring. The Judge just explained what it is and what a bankruptcy judge could do. BTW, I work with bankruptcy attorneys. Let me assure you, a Chapter 11 bankruptcy is in no way socialistic.

Why would you post this without the actual words?

I just listened to it and was able to hear those words without much difficulty.

Either do what I did (relisten to that part of the interview to hear those words) or stop opening your mouth and sticking your foot in it.

It wasn’t on Cavuto. I didn’t TiVo it. Look at poster number 17 or 18. That’s the first post that quoted it off of TIVO.

Romney is absolutely right.

The auto industry does need to be restructured, not excused for its incompetence. Reducing the burdens on the industry so our companies can be more competitive with foreign companies, however, is also part of the solution. Competent conservatism is the way to go.

We have a brilliant, competent man who has the right plan at the right time for all of the right reasons, yet you feel the need to lie about him endlessly. Sad.

It’s a good idea to write down the actual words of a person before quoting. It’s the only fair and decent thing to do.

and attempt to dismiss the actual issues.

Still, that is an improvement over your typical
