BOSTON Turns out that when it comes to biting White House visitors, President Bush's dog Barney is a repeat offender.
Boston Celtics public relations director Heather Walker said Friday that Barney bit her wrist and drew blood as she tried to pat the Scottish terrier in September after a White House ceremony honoring the team's 17th NBA championship.
"It was very strange. I didn't expect him to bite me," Walker told The Associated Press.

Just wait until BHO chooses a pit bull as the First Family Dog!!
Bush has bitten every conservative in the butt, and more than once.
There, fixed it.
So this is what the investigative reporters have been working on? This is news?
This is about one thing only—finding symbols with which to tarnish Bush’s legacy.
Eeeewwwwww that is one of the creepiest movies I ever watched...loved it though!
I agree.
IMHO he also moved his hand too quickly dogs get nervous over that.
The fact he did invade the dog’s space and use quick hand movements was strange seeing as he said that his own mother had a Scottish terrier, on the other hand maybe it was indeed that fact that made him less cautious than you would be with a dog that you do not know.
Furthermore, if Barney was really a nasty dog, they would have needed stitches. Barney’s nips were his way of warning them that they didn’t pass the sniff test.
I own Belgian Malinois, and most people who come to the door know enough not to try to pet them, until they have been well sniffed-over.
Barney’s breed is somewhat similar in temperament, in that they tend to be stand-offish with strangers, and are known to be good protectors of the farm and family. Terriers are a lot more stubborn than Malinois, of course. But neither breed likes to be petted by total strangers.
These are not your lovable doofus labs or goldens! And, I say Barney was entitled. His personal space was being invaded.
Yep, of course with as many people as go through that place I can see why a dog might be touchy.
Dog bites are not a minor thing.
The dog is about 8” high. He doesn’t fly, does he?
If you bend down over a dog and put your hand in his face, I guess you do so at your own peril.
There is a difference between a “snap” and a “bite”!
And, you must know what breed of dog you are dealing with. If a mutt, you need to have some idea of what seems to dominate the mix.
Children and dogs can be very problematic, as children frequently torment dogs, without realizing that what they think is play drives the dogs crazy! Dogs will snap when they have had enough of this “play”. Their teeth are the only means of communication they have.
You probably should have spent more time supervising the way your children interacted with the dogs, and taught your children how to interpret doggy body language, so they would know when to back off, and leave the poor dog alone!
. . .nor will he be his last.
That being said, this is just another (Barney)Bush Bash.
(If I were Pres, I'd have a Rotty!)
As someone who was attacked (and bitten) by a dog, I agree.
I would have a gorgeous pair of Belgian Malinois, and a flock of sheep on the White House Lawn to keep them happy and occupied!
This article makes me sick.
Are they trying to get Barney declared a dangerous dog so he will be confiscated/impounded?
I wouldn’t put anything past these vile pieces of scum.
If he bites he should be kept at a location that doesn’t have a large number of people coming and going.
“I say Barney was entitled. “
And I say you are wrong. Those people were there doing their job. If a dog bites it should not be around people.
