Constitutional crisis looming over Obama's birth location

The California secretary of state should refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until President-elect Barack Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office, alleges a California court petition filed on behalf of former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.

The legal action today is just the latest is a series of challenges, some of which have gone as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, over the issue of Obama's status as a "natural-born citizen," a requirement set by the U.S. Constitution.

WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi even traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.

The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn't ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

Officials of the state of Hawaii have confirmed that the Obama Certification of Live Birth is genuine and that the original is on file. None of us know if appropriate federal government officials have already seen the original document. I tend to think so since both the CIA and the NSA already have been briefing Obama at the highest top secret security level. And that’s prior to the Electoral College vote. I doubt that would happen without confirmation.

Good for them. Now, let's bring it out so that everyone can see it, and put all these nasty rumours to rest.

Probably the reason Lingle sealed it is she expects to send a copy of the long form to all 57, ahm, 50 secretaries of state to inspect. That’s a lot of opportunity for the press to snag a copy.

I can agree with that completely. If the long-form birth certificate is legitimate, I’ll stand up with the rest of my fellow Americans and call him President of the United States. Even if I hate every second of it. I’d rather go on for the next four years like that than constantly live under that doubt.
