Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) were an English progressive rock supergroup. In the 1970s, the band was extremely popular, selling over 35 million albums and headlining huge concerts. The band consisted of Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg Lake (guitar, bass guitar, vocals) and Carl Palmer (drums, percussion).

Well,in the interest of full disclosure,I joined the Navy to avoid being sent to Vietnam.The war was winding down and few wanted to be the last casualty.
The closest I came to combat was during the several facedowns we had with the Soviet Navy when things got dicey during a then very hot Cold War.
They always had us in their sights.In those days if war broke out our Aircraft Carriers would have been the first to go up in mushroom cloudS.
It was scary at times but nothing compared to the real combat experience some Freepers have endured.

I understand that Johnny is in pretty bad shape now. Hate to hear it. We went to school together and even had the same guitar teacher. A few months later, he could give lessons to the teacher. Obviously, I didn’t progress that fast!
