Okay. Here's what Obama's Chief of Staff has planned for you!
UNIVERSAL CITIZEN SERVICE
All Americans between 18 and 25 should serve their country by reporting for 3 months' of basic civil defense training and community service.
UNIVERSAL COLLEGE ACCESS
The Government should give the states tuition grants to make college free. A College Tuition Grant of $3,000 per year, fully refundable and available for 4 years of college and 2 years of graduate school, should be made available.
UNIVERSAL RETIREMENT SAVINGS
Employers should be required to offer 401 (k)'s to all workers. Workers must be enrolled unless they choose otherwise. Plans would be portable. Savings would go up as workers' paychecks go up. The Government would provide a 50% matching contribution up to $2,000 per year for individuals earning up to $30,000 and couples up to $60,000.
UNIVERSAL CHILDREN'S HEALTH CARE
Cut costs to make it affordable. Give small business access to the same health plans as members of Congress.
RETURN TO FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
End corporate welfare.
TAX REFORM TO HELP BUILD WEALTH
A maximum effective tax rate of 10% for families earning under $100,000 per year. Four Superincentives: 1) a $3,000 refundable tax credit, 2) a universal mortgage deduction, 3) a simplified family credit for families with children, 4) a universal pension that replaces all exisitng IRA-type accounts.
STRATEGY TO WIN THE WAR ON TERROR
Reform and strengthen multilateral institutions. Add to the Special Forces and the Marines; expand the Army by 100,000 troops. Give our troops a new G.I. Bill. Create a new domestic counterterrorism force like Britain's M15.
A Hybrid Economy
Cut American gasoline use in half over the next decade. Accelerate energy research; embrace the plug-in hybrid auto. End our dependence on Middle-Eastern oil.
Well, how do you like it?
nah, it’s the foot in the door for Obama’s “Blueshirts” lefty militia.
...”Add to the Special Forces”...
Sure, Rahm, “Shake-and-Bake” Special Forces...What a fool.
Rahm Emanual is not my chief of staff
Okay, forget “a book”. It might buy a taco at the Student Union......
I want 0be to buy:
my "Assault" Rifles.
Ammunition for same
Ski Lift tickets.
Skis
Boots
Hard Drive Data Recovery.
Diesel
All Americans between 18 and 25 should serve their country by reporting for 3 months' of basic civil defense training and community service indoctrination into the Democrat party line.
There, fixed that....
Haven't you heard the news? Billy, Bernadine, and Rashid have offered to take huge cuts in pay. They may even leave their prestigious private schools to teach community college. /sarc
If college tuition was made free students would treat it is they do high school. When you have to pay to take a class over because you failed it, you either decide college is not for you (which is true for many people) or you take it seriously the next time.
Perhaps a vote for Obama is considered National Service, thus they don’t have to participate since they already did.
Rahm Emanuel is a draft-dodging, ballerina boy.
“UNIVERSAL CITIZEN SERVICE All Americans between 18 and 25 should serve their country by reporting for 3 months’ of basic civil defense training and community service.......”
Thank goodness I turn 26 this Friday. Good timing Mom and Dad.
Eight or nine dollars a gallon ought to do the trick.
Barack Obamas now official White House chief of staff, House Representative Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), was profiled by the New York Times today. Rahm has a lengthy Democrat history, but the NYT left something out of the piece Rahms stint on the board of fraud-riddled mortgage giant Freddie Mac. When Emanuel left the Clinton White House, he was given the plum seat on Freddies board, just as it was expanding its subprime lending. According to Freddie Mac insiders, Emanuel opposed EVERY reform of the quasi-governmental agency proposed by the Bush administration.
In 1998 it was the Clinton administration who ruled that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac could satisfy their affordable housing obligations (mandated for banks by the Clinton administration) by purchasing subprime mortgages. This ultimately made it possible for Fannie and Freddie to add a trillion dollars in junk loans to their balance sheets. As we all know, this led to their own collapse, and to the development of a market in these mortgages that is the source of the financial meltdown affecting our entire economy. Having Rahm as a director, fresh out of the White House, helped grease the skids were sliding on now.
Emmanuel was part of a small crew that created the CRA-the Community Reinvestment Act, (some call it the Credit Redevelopment Act), and allowed applicants to secure mortgages without income verification. As the idea grew the crew formed the Freddie and Fannie programs as a (sort of) job for out of work democrats. After 6 years, the CRA grew, and Emanuel was able withdraw almost 200 million dollars.
Emanuel worked for investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, from 1999-2002, at the same time he was a Freddie director. He reportedly earned $18 million during his stay, largely by brokering large mergers and acquisitions deals. His client base was almost exclusively the Democrat partys biggest financial supporters.
So, thank your new Chief Of Staff-elect for doing his part in facilitating the biggest global financial crisis of, perhaps, ever. Rahm wont be making the kind of coin he did in the private sector, and with Obamas income tax-hikes looming
thats a good thing for Rahm. Fortunately for him he doesnt have to pay property taxes either! He lists his home as a non-profit charity

see post 36 for link that discusses Obama’s 401K plans
Where did you get this information?
UNIVERSAL COLLEGE ACCESS
If the feds and states continue to dumb down public school and college instruction in order to guarantee equality of outcome so that minorities and other underachievers do not suffer a loss of unearned self esteem (and they will) everyone will need a college education just to perform at the level of a high school graduate a generation or two ago.
After they run the printing presses to bail out Wall Street, the car companies, the mortgage holders, California, New York, NYC and New Jersey, $3000 won't buy you an economics textbook at Harvard, or even a Big Mac with fries.
