“Eric Cantor just said we’ll have to adapt our conservative principles to meet current challenges...”

Oh joy....(eye roll)

Watching them now. They just came on in my time zone.

is how to help them grow the Hispanic base without alienating people over the illegal immigration problem

.
and it’ll be the Hispanic community that is targeted by the illegal Hispanic criminals, some do understand this, others will find out the hard way

The Reagan jab was disgusting. But it telegraphed to all of us his true feelings about Conservatives and the people that support them.

It also signaled that he is a low-class low-life, which we all pretty much know already. Like that not so subtle giving of the finger to Hillary and McCain. He is a disgusting human being.

“Oh posterity,
You will never know how much it cost us to preserve your freedom. I hope that you will make a good use of it.
If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.”

John Adams

Our Founders must be rolling in their graves.
Looking at the squishy republicans left who are trying their hardest to get in the good graces of this new administration, I think it is obvious we have lost far too much to ever get it back without an act of God.

It’s time for McCain to go gently into that good night of Lords in America’s House of Lords that have had their time. Kinda like Bob Dole, who went on to sell Viagara, God Bless Him.

Are you kidding? McCain will work closely with the Obama WH to get an amnesty and cap and trade legislation to address the global warming hoax.

McCain became the presumptive nominee of the Rep party with just 31% of the primary vote thanks to open and winner-take-all primaries. McCain spent most of his campaign attacking the Rep party and espousing positions most Reps don't support. As a result, McCain suppressed the Rep vote, including in his home state, AZ. In 2004, Bush won by a greater percentage and with more votes than McCain did in 2008. I guess that was to be expected since McCain was the only top tier candidate of either party who failed to win his/her home state by 50% or more in the primaries.

McCain was grossly outspent by Obama, mainly because McCain couldn't raise enough money forcing him to take public financing. This also hurt other Reps down ballot because the McCain campaign siphoned off money from the RNC to support him.

McCain was a deeply flawed candidate. When you nominate the party maverick to be you standard bearer, there are political consequences. Loyalty begets loyalty.

We have an act of God and her name is Sarah! (even her name is biblical)

Gotta run, check you guys later. Great thread so far.

Conservatism is alive and well and will not be diluted or stopped.

When did the electorate become so stupid and ill informed?

When Jimmy Carter established the Dept of Education, the quality of education in this country plummeted. Now everything taught in the public schools is mandated from the socialist dept in D.C. The dumbing down of America has been a huge success.

For pivotal tragedies, we have a national day of mourning.

I’m wondering if my “days of mourning” will ever end, and the rock in my stomach will ever dissolve.

I will never believe that McCain was not behind these silly attacks.

No way!

Obama operatives were behind this. Remember, it emanated from Carl Cameron, who is slightly denser than lead and, thus, gleefully reported this crap without ever bothering to ask himself if it made any damn sense!

BTW, McCain did defend Palin and deny these types of fabrications during the campaign.

Podesta admitted that his AmericanProgress.org (Center for American Progress) was started with Soros money. Wish Republicans could be so well financed.

I have a sick feeling in my stomach about the future of our nation. I don’t know if we can survive as a nation with the socialist rookie as POTUS. My two sons voted for Obama and cannot articulate why - no reasons, just feelings.
