America Held Hostage- the Obama Files...

With a hattip to Rush ( His idea during the Clinton plague upon America ) I am starting a file on “The One,” mostly starting from the election date.

Older stuff- links, quotes, quips, and sometimes pointed graphics can be found by scrolling back from these two posts:

-Hillary Clinton- archives, comments, and opposition research--

-Sarah Palin- links, from the beginning--

There is some good material in those posts that raises a lot of uncomfortable questions that everyone ought to be asking, and probably will once the “new” wears off, and we are stuck with four ( more likely eight, since 95% of the news & entertainment media are in his pocket ) years of a typical corrupt Chicago Political Machine Politician trying to jerk the whole country in one direction and then the next.

You've all heard the saying,

”People get the kind of government they want...
...and deserve?”

Well, America, you are about to “get it, good & hard...”

Don't say you weren't warned- we tried to tell you...

We did everything we could, and our state went for the Old Guy & the Naughty Librarian, but too many other voters were made stupid by the TV and public schools for it to matter.

We're in a Hell of a mess, and the worst thing is, "we"- the collective we, not you & I-- got us here.

Is Obama really the Abyss...

staring back at us?

I like to make points with humorous graphics- this one sums it up as well as any:

Then, in a nutshell, "everything I see going bad with all this hopi- changi- stuff The One is peddling-- forced labor, censorship, spin, and pure mean-spirited rudness:

Email of the day

Atlas readers rock! I am blown away by the overwhelming response to this post  (and this one) to get involved to take back our country from the Soros, socialists, and the self proclaimed messiah - oy. More than one email brought a tear to my eye but I wanted to share this one with you.

If this best represents who we are, what we want and where we are going, there is no way we can lose. Greatness is in the house. I am proud to count you as my friends. Prouder still to stand with you and fight this great fight.

I want to lead a county.

I was born in Cuba, and know the language of Communism, Obama speaks it well.  My grandfather's family had to flee Lebanon because of the Muslims to Cuba. We fled Cuba because of Castro.

This is the best country in the whole wide world.  I was a child when I left Cuba with the clothe on my back, we left my parent's sister and I, left behind everything.

America is Worth fighting for and Freedom is worth defending.  I do not want my children to grow up in oppression, nor do I wish exile upon them.

Please allow me to help, again, Id like to lead a county.

My name is Ingrid and Im in Miami, in Miami Dade County

May the Light always shine upon America,

Ingrid

UPDATE: In case there was any doubt as to what the victorious zombies have in mind. Check out this comment (left in the comment section) . Can you say rude awakening?

You people are pathetic!

Your racist fear mongering will not go unchallenged!  Soon we will shut down your hate spewing web sites.  We will confiscate your firearms.  In prison, you will get an education on the error of your ways.  We will take your children and raise them as our own and instill in them the values of social justice.  We will have a new American Republic of justice and order for all!

You time is almost up!  Prepare for the dung heap of history!

It sounds insane (which it is) but I believe the writer is quite serious.

"We will confiscate your firearms. In prison, you will get an education on the error of your ways. We will take your children and raise them as our own and instill in them the values of social justice".....

Heh heh heh....I am sure you are serious, but that is funny!

Values of social justice....like Mao? Stalin? Lenin? Ho-chi Min? Pol Pot? Which of these butchers of social justice did you have in mind?"

170,000,000
That's the number of civilians that have been murdered by their own governments in the 20th century alone.

Innocents Betrayed is a must see video produced by Jews for the Preservation of Firearms (scroll down to see links to view the Introduction to Innocents Betrayed)

Now consider Obama's 'civilian defense force' which he intends to fund and equip as well as our standing military coupled with his promise to revisit the second amendment (repeal concealed carry privilege) and then compound this injury with Ayers' inspired youth corps.

CHANGE.GOV OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT ELECT (hat tip rut)

Obamessiah has a new site up as President-elect soliciting ideas form the proletariat.
Let's hope it doesn't become the hub for the hate whitey and Jew boy Obamavomit that his last site was.

Surf the site. Take note. Keep your eye on the The Obama National Service Plan- the page is empty (how apropos) but that piques my interest.

President Obama To Bring Back Slavery

Just in case anyone think Mr. Obama is not serious about this, bear in mind that his new Chief of Staff wrote a book demanding this very thing:

Amazon.com: The Plan: Big Ideas for America: Rahm Emanuel, Bruce Reed: Books
http://www.amazon.com/Plan-Big.....038;sr=1-1

Don’t forget they want a Gestapo/KKK civilian force the size of the pentagon to keep everybody inline and things running smoothly.

“Suddenly, all mention of “required” has been disappeared. ”

SOME THOUGHTS ON OBAMA'S mandatory volunteerism plan. Plus, reader Nancy Anne Potts writes:

Looks like the change.gov site is true to it's title - it changes!

During the time when I was looking at the blog you linked to concerned mandatory community service the change.gov page saying "require community service" changed to goal for community service. The new wording is:

"..... Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by setting a goal that all middle school and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year and by developing a plan so that all college students who conduct 100 hours of community service receive a universal and fully refundable tax credit ensuring that the first $4,000 of their college education is completely free."

I found the the cached page on Google it has the original "required" wording.

Looks like they caught their "mistake". Now will the real plan please step forward -- goal or required. (Although the way government sets goals, they often wind up looking like requirements so maybe the two aren't all that different.)

Ugh! I see card check made the economy page too. He may be the president elect but I don't have to like his plans!

Not until the second term. Then that will be made mandatory, too . . . .

Meanwhile, Robert Bidinotto comments: "Anyone recall what the Soviets used to do to history books?" The Obama folks have a history of airbrushing.

IF YOU VOTED FOR MCCAIN, you're a racist. Just in case nobody had bothered to tell you.

President-elect Barack Obama's First Press Conference - Complete Video 11/7/08

Obama Mocks Nancy Reagan in 1st Press Conference

It's  classless to mock a frail, elderly woman. (Note he was not kind in his revelation about his own "typical white person" grandmother, either.)

It's even worse to mock the widow of a great former president. Whatever you think of her, she deserves respect.

Especially classless was mocking Nancy Reagan on stage, before hundreds of reporters and television cameras, knowing the "joke" would be heard by millions. This wasn't some private remark that got picked up by a live mike.

On Concerns Over Gun Control, Gun Sales Are Up

From "Change.gov", the official transition website. Agenda tab and then select "urban policy" and go down to "Crime Control".

Address Gun Violence in Cities:
As president, Barack Obama would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals who shouldn't have them. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent, as such weapons belong on foreign battlefields and not on our streets.

There will be no one left to protect you
Barack Obama wants to institute a Civilian National Security Force, a vast militia not unlike Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, a personal army. He knows he would need such a force to protect him and to enforce his will on Americans. Americans will have not seen such arbitrary power used against them since the days of the Civil War when Lincoln put the Constitution in the bottom drawer of his desk and set about arresting anyone who opposed his policies...

Hmmmm... this one is very difficult. I was in the military, and we were taught we salute the uniform, not the man. So I respect the office, not the man. However, I am adopting a wait and see. If Obama governs as if he cares about America, even if we disagree, I can accept that. If Obama governs as I expect, like a Manchurian candidate who is bent on America’s deconstruction, that is when he will disqualify himself as being my president.

An array of other advocacy groups are stepping forward with their priorities for the new Congress.

Barack Obama: The Kingfish Reborn

Do Unto Obama As Liberals Did Unto Bush

Coal stocks plummet. Average 15%, many over 30% since Tuesday Gee, wonder why?

Kate, this is important and you should listen to it. It's about Obama's cult of personality and it is short.

From the blogs- and, always, read the Anchoress:

Bush, Obama, & Ghosts of Hate - UPDATED

“The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country.” Lincoln’s Second Annual Message to Congress, December 1, 1862.

I would love nothing better than to be able to stop writing about “left” and “right.” I wish we had a better vocabulary to describe our distinctions, because these words are limiting and off-putting. I am determined, with the merciful conclusion of this abusively long election season, to work diligently at spending less time entertaining these distinctions. But for today, I think it is only fair to note a very important and glaring difference between “left and right” - and in so doing - consider how we may, finally, stop needing to indulge in what is tedious.

Victor Davis Hanson
says Let’s not imitate the left in our opposition. I agree.

It has been wonderful - really beyond wonderful - to consider how differently most of the right has reacted to their defeat than the left did in 2000 and 2004. In the two previous elections, the left responded by calling the other half of the country “stupid,” “morons,” and “Nazis” - Jane Smiley called them “unteachably ignorant” - they indulged in high drama, sniffling “apologies” to the globe, and denunciations of their fellow countrymen as “lying between repugnant and reptile in the dictionary.”

And oh, yeah (eyeroll) George W. Bush was not “their” president.

While you’ll see a few disgruntled extremists on the right say foolish, even ignorant things - and many throwing daggers at the sickening double-standards of the press - they’re not indulging in that sort of dehumanizing (and very adolescent) hate of their fellow countrymen or the president-elect. The reports they’re filing read very differently than those following the Bush wins. They read as grown-up, tolerant, open-minded discourses, not tantrums. There is a willingness to be hopeful, even in defeat.

And there is a determined respectfulness being offered to the winners - people who could not manage maturity and respectfulness in their defeat and who, sadly, are not always managing it in their victory, either.

I’m hopeful that the left - if it takes the time to actually condescend to notice how well it is being treated by the vanquished - might consider that self-indulgent defamation is the lesser way; that such a consideration may inspire introspection, and perhaps the smallest bit of regret for some of their appalling excesses toward the right and toward the American President who did not return hate in-kind.

I’m hopeful. I’m an optimist. I KNOW that the folks on the right - for all of their faults, and both sides certainly have faults - want America to be successful and strong and exceptional and free. I’m hopeful that hugely empowered left will discover that - beyond the feel-goodism of “free social programs” which are never free -they actually, really do want all of those things, too. That they’ll look back on the last 8 years and realize, finally, that their enemy was never George W. Bush. Bush, the guy who never dehumanized them, was only trying serve those corny ideals.

And then, miraculously, we may actually have unity.

Some similar thinking from my girl crush, Donna Brazile:

“The one mistake that we continue to make is that we label people. We say you’re conservatives, liberal, progressive, right wing, left wing. I think people just want to spend one day being Americans. They want to come together around a common purpose, common values.”

I wondered the other day if the catharsis of this election might open up “a vein of generosity” (or at least decency) from the left as concerns President Bush. I have not seen it yet, but I’m going to be optimistic and keep looking.

But maybe it’s enough just to see a little appreciation from the right, to start. Like this, for instance:

I link, therefore, I Err has a little mini-round-up of appreciation for George W. Bush. You’ll want to read it all.

From Alppuccino at Protein Wisdom:

At 10:40, President Bush will keep his streak alive by telling everyone how much he loves America. Just as he always has. And he’ll show everyone how much he loves America by preparing Obama as best he can for the next 4 years.

Read it all; it’s doubtful that Obama’s team will come into the White House finding O’s missing from their keyboards, any rude messages greeting them. And that is how it should be in America, a respectful transition.

Michael Gerson:

Many liberals refuse to concede Bush’s humanity, much less his achievements.

But that humanity is precisely what I will remember. I have seen President Bush show more loyalty than he has been given, more generosity than he has received. I have seen his buoyancy under the weight of malice and his forgiveness of faithless friends. Again and again, I have seen the natural tug of his pride swiftly overcome by a deeper decency — a decency that is privately engaging and publicly consequential.

[In 2005]…the White House senior staff overwhelmingly opposed a new initiative to fight malaria in Africa for reasons of cost and ideology…In the crucial policy meeting, one person supported it: the president of the United States, shutting off debate with a moral certitude that others have criticized. I saw how this moral framework led him to an immediate identification with the dying African child, the Chinese dissident, the Sudanese former slave, the Burmese women’s advocate. It is one reason I will never be cynical about government — or about President Bush.

Jeffery Scott Shapiro:

[The treatment of President Bush] from this country is nothing less than a disgrace. The attacks launched against him have been cruel and slanderous, proving to the world what little character and resolve we have…Our failure to stand by the one person who continued to stand by us has not gone unnoticed by our enemies. It has shown to the world how disloyal we can be when our president needed loyalty — a shameful display of arrogance and weakness that will haunt this nation long after Mr. Bush has left the White House.

Until we fix, within ourselves, our enthrallment with hate for others, simply because they hold differing views, we’ll never pull it together. In 2006 we watched a right-wing blogger be called less than human by a left-wing reader. We’ve seen President Bush being referred to as “the chimp” and “the monkey” by the wits who insisted that ideology trumped having a decent respect for another’s humanity. I wrote about that a little here:

Thus, George W. Bush is “Chimpy McHitler.” Hillary Clinton is “a pig in a pantsuit.” Barack Obama is “O-Bambi.” Cindy McCain, who has exhibited some courage and laudable compassion in her life, is reduced to a “pill-popping beer-frau,” and so forth. From there it is smooth sailing down an ever-descending river of hatred, until we are incapable of seeing anything good in the “other,” both because we have willfully hardened our hearts, and because our hate — especially when it is supported by a group of like minds — feels safe and inviolable.

With that in mind, you’ll want to read this excellent piece over at Conversion Diary, wherein Jenifer ponders pictures from a Nazi-era photo album and wonders, how such common-variety people managed to support and enable such profound evil.

One thing that stands out in all these examples is that the victims of the widespread evil were categorized as something less than human…not only that innocent people were killed or enslaved, but that their humanity was taken away by the societies around them…So here is the advice I would offer to my children, and to my children’s children:

Every decade or so, take a look around the society in which you live, and ask yourself if there is any group of human beings who are seen as something less than human. A big tipoff is if dehumanizing words — terms other than “man,” “woman,” “child,” “baby,” or “person” — are used to describe any category of people.

And if you ever see that going on, you might be in the midst of something gravely evil.

Dehumanizing people begins with baby-steps like name-calling, or the sort of intellectual dishonesty that delights in deliberately twisting the meaning of others in negative and misrepresentative ways. Those are the little gateways to the great evils that come once you’ve managed to thoroughly de-humanize others.

We’ve had 8 years - I’d say 12, really - of people demonizing and dehumanizing others, from both sides, and it is not getting us anyplace good. I believe that the response of most of the right to Obama’s victory is a step toward changing that. But the left has to do their part, too.

Pope Benedict XVI said, “those who hope live differently.” The election of Barack Obama was borne on this word, “Hope.”

If the people who voted for “hope” were sincere, then let them begin, today, to embrace it - and to live differently - without the kneejerk move to hate “the other side.” The right, responding levelly to their defeat, has offered the opening. Will the left take it?

UPDATE: Seems some will. Here is mostly accurate, and apprecited praise from a surprising quarter:

Would America have elected Barack Obama if white Americans had not gotten accustomed to seeing (in succession) two African-American Secretaries of State? I don’t think so. Before Bush, African-Americans were appointed to some good posts but not to our #1 foreign policy job. Two African Americans (one with a pretty odd first name) served as America’s face to the world. That eased Obama’s way. It is not Tiger Woods in whose footsteps Obama is walking — it’s Rice and Powell….Fact is, “W” never gave any evidence of holding racist attitudes…even just the slur the occasionally slips out of the mouth of even our most liberal leaders.

Same with Arabs and Muslims…Bush, after 9/11, never resorted to anti-Arab or Muslim stereotypes. He drew distinctions between terrorists and Arabs…Had he not done these things, Arabs and Muslims might have experienced not just hate crimes but pogroms.

Meanwhile, from Grand Rants:

Here is a man who is regularly compared to Hitler in casual conversation in Leftist circles high and low. His honor has been regularly impugned, his intelligence (or, as the press loves to put it, his “intellectual curiousity”) constantly demeaned, his verbal stumblings consistently mocked, and his accomplishments in office discounted or ignored. He is a man who kept his head down and did his job, despite the slings and arrows hurled at him by fortune made all the more outrageous by nearly the entire Democratic party.

I for one, would like to say thank you to Pres. Bush. For keeping us safe. For watching out for us. For persevering in spite of all the spite. I believe history will ultimately judge you as one of America’s best presidents, and I believe you deserve that judgement.

H/T to Opinionated Catholic, who writes:

The throwing under the bus of the President by even his friends and indeed the base has been shocking to me. Many groups will find out soon enough how they took Bush’s support and advocacy for them for granted, Catholics, especially.

Meanwhile, Jules Crittenden is beginning to enjoy Omerica, Quin Hillyer is saying America is over, kaput, finished, Evan Thomas suddenly finds Obama “slightly creepy” and when you refuse to release medical records, and the press doesn’t care…conjecture begins about your mental health.

Forty-Fourth President, Twelfth Imam

by Baron Bodissey

O-Man’s Fibonacci spiral haloThe election results were long expected, but now that the day has arrived it’s quite a letdown, anyway. Reading about the joy expressed by Hamas and Syria and Italy and Indonesia… contemplating Obama’s Secretary of State, or (God help us) Defense… Thinking about the USA becoming just like Sweden, only with a real army, and aircraft carriers, and nukes… First Lady Michelle…

It’s all too depressing.

So, as is my habit in such circumstances, instead of writing a post this evening or doing something else useful, I created yet another iconic image of The One. After looking around at some of his existing halos, I decided to make one myself. A man can’t have too many halos, right?

And then I pondered the phenomenon of halos appearing behind the heads of great national leaders, men who are born into modest Muslim circumstances, but in time become presidents of large countries that have nuclear weapons. It made me think of…
- - - - - - - - -
Mad Jad’s HaloMahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Ol’ Mad Jad got his halo when he went to visit the UN a couple of years ago. It appeared behind his head while he was speaking. Not only that, his audience was held in such rapt attention by his words that they were unable to blink for thirty minutes. We know all this is true because he told us so.

I wonder how many other resemblances there are between him and Barack Hussein Obama.

Ahmadinejad sees himself as preparing the way for the Twelfth Imam, as a sort of satanic John the Baptist for the man who is prophesied to return and usher in the apocalypse preceding the establishment of the permanent reign of Islam over the entire world.

And Obama’s got a bigger halo.

Does that mean…? Nah — it couldn’t be… But still… It makes me wonder…

What if the One were also the Twelfth?

Note to the literal-minded: this post is for fun, not to be taken seriously. Given the circumstances, it’s the only fun I’m likely to have for quite a while.

We may have to set up a “Free Republic in Exile” like Degaulle did when the Nazis overran France, but we’ll manage.

Some realistic things to expect early in the Obama Administration

I work in Chicago. I deal with a great many attorneys in my job, many of whom are staunch Dims and breathless Obambi supporters; some were even active in his campaign. More than one told me that at or near the top of Obambi’s agenda is a new Hate Crimes bill, with a wide expansion of what will be considered a hate crime

Didn't you notice that Obama is a conservative?  "Obama is, in his own words, something of a Rorschach test. Your sickening unAmerican traitorous, racist, money-grubbing, torturing, hateful ideology got struck a death blow and you and your fellow jackal-blowhards are left writhing on the floor, gasping for breath as the final death tremors subside and your bodies stiffen into rigour mortis.

Well, after the 2006 debacle, I wrote this:

Call it a Twilight of the Gods moment
( "In the twilight of the gods, the twilight men will appear..."
Otto Basil, circa 1968 )

...but until further notice, I am suspending updates specific to this post.

I will continue to update this:

with "everything you need to be aware of."
But I'm just burned, and bummed out. The elections. The sellout of Israel. The Moonbats. The Stupid Party. The Evil Party.

Then again, after yesterday there's this:

”Zimbabwe On The Potomac...”

You know there were warning signs...

I kept telling people when Bill Clinton slithered in to office, and clung to it, despite all the scandals, and Impeachment itself-- “He's just a symptom. Like a fever is of a disease- there's something wrong with America.”

Like Popular Culture- look at the magazines-- I call it “thugs & jugs,” or “which Pop Tart is popping out whose baby this week?”

Or Katrina- ever seen so many people milling around with their hands out, when they should have been helping themselves?

We did it to ourselves, and The New, Improved Black Jesus is merely a symptom.

All civilizations have a shelf life- once enough citizens figure out that by electing the “right” representatives, they can use the power of the government to pick the pockets of others,

...it's all over, except for the details.

Well, we're in the “details,” now.

Meanwhile, I have to figure out what Miss Emily and I do with what's left of our lives, and bush hog her Mom's old place in the country, because City Life isn't going to be worth living from here on out.

I'll catch you all later...

...maybe...

Okay let's see... the victim said:

"I would really be disgusted with the court system if they don't lock him up. I think he should be treated as an adult and a registered sex offender," she said."

Hmmm... that doesn't sound like the negro dialect to me... hmmm and she was on her way to the library. My dear Watson I don't know what to make of that. Okay, I actually do.

Fontenet was vague on motive. "We asked the suspect what his motivation was and he didn't give us a legitimate answer other than he saw her walking alone and decided he was going to have sex with her one way or the other," Sgt. Harris said.

"He used a pair of scissors and approached the victim from behind and put the scisoors to her throat, took her to the ground, removed her pants and raped her right on the side of the street," Sgt. Harris said.

Obama’s Determination & Resolve to Push Radical Agenda “Only Stronger” Following Mass Loss

It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over

Has Obama Lost America?

What’s happening in America regarding the people’s infatuation with Obama has suddenly and dramatically reached a tipping point. All of the liberals at all of the cocktail parties who fawned over this no-talent, no-experience, no-integrity hustler are starting to admit that they were taken in because their peers are also starting to admit it.

Allow me to draw an analogy to the Bernie Madoff saga. When a lone person gets swindled by a con artist, the dupe is likely to be called a moron, a schmuck, or worse. But—if all of your friends, plus some very rich people, and some famous Hollywood stars, were swindled by the same guy, well then—you can’t all be schmucks! The conclusion is that the shyster was very good, very persuasive, and we all fell for the same line of bull.

Now that it is becoming acceptable to admit that Obama isn’t the great post-racial hopey-changer he said that he was, more and more people are jumping on the “we were all hoodwinked” bandwagon. Nobody wants to be the lone schmuck. Everyone can live with being duped by a master con artist, as long as he has plenty of company.

The progressives are attacking the liberals would be a better way of putting it.

Here's an example:

There's a blog out there called Hillbuzz. It was started by a group of gay men who supported Hillary Clinton when she ran for president. Once she was defeated, however, they threw their support behind John McCain and Sarah Palin and since then have been doing everything they can to defeat the rabid progressive left and their Alinsky tactics.

Of late, they have been supporting Scott Brown in his victorious bid to win Ted Kennedy's senate seat.

As a result, they have become the target of the Soros-ites and the whackos at Moveon.

Here's a taste of what they're experiencing:

Øbama’s Train Wreck of a Town Hall in Ohio. “Today in Ohio, it seemed like the president was way off his game. But I thought he was defensive, prickly, almost indignant that he’s found himself in the tough spot that he’s in. . . . I realize he’s using it to justify a new tax on banks, but I think ‘we want our money back’ is a dangerous chant for a man who so steadily expands government spending.”

...In some ways this was like therapy session for Obama. He seems absolutely overwhelmed by the job and the fact that his Awesomeness simply hasn't translated to this job.

OUCH: Conrad Black: Incompetent Øbama teeters on the edge. “He is increasingly perceived as having credibility problems and of being cold, cocksure, narcissistic and intoxicated by what he modestly called ‘the gift’ of his own articulation. And as president, he has been quite, and quite surprisingly incompetent. . . . It has been a year of fecklessness, amateurism, and posturing. Yes, I know they are Gay Boyz, but they are on our side- and they know the enemy:

H/t Chrissy the Hyphenated for the Buzz Teamz Logo

Here are today’s Team Action Items.  There is absolutely no formality with these team assignments.  If you want to participate in Action Items, just pick a team and do something to further that team’s item for the day.  The way we are structuring this is to keep the Team colors coordinated with certain activities — Red = phone calls/letter writing/faxing, etc.; Blue = Blogging, pasting links, research, distribution of information; Green = fundraising (either FOR a candidate, or working to convince donors to stop contributing to Liberals); Gold = Psy-Ops (hitting the Left with their own medicine, using creative subversion to goad them into making mistakes, overplaying their hand, and destroying themselves).

Report back on this thread any luck that you have on your team.  This is a new process for us, to actually write down each day the kind of things we do ourselves on a regular basis, without ever really telling most of you out there.  We’ve always assumed people just do these things on their own, but now we understand there’s a need for some direction — for people who want to get involved, get off their butts and do something, but who need a focus.

Well, the four of us here will each come up with a Team idea each day. Kevin leads the Red Team, Sebastian takes Blue, Robby is in charge of Green, and Panda will have at it with Gold (because if anyone can think outside the box and get into the mind of crazies, it’s Panda).

Because we are children of the 80s, we can’t help getting a Captain Planet vibe off this, so think of each Team as having its own special powers, which we hope will grow the more people participate in this.  You can hit every team assignment if you want, or just pick one to focus on.  It’s going to be a lot of work.  For us, personally, it means rethinking how we do things around here, getting more organized, and fleshing out longterm plans and goals for our activism.  It also means recruiting all of you in a way that harnesses ALL of your unique strengths.  We need a way to tap into all of that if we are going to defeat the Left once and for all, as a ragtag band of moderates, conservatives, and independents who will increasingly hone our skills to the point that we become better at all of this than any of the George Soros and DNC paid trolls and goblins ever were.

We can beat them at their own game, but only if we work hard and practice our skills every day.  The Red, Blue, Green, and Gold is an evolving, experimental project.  It lives and dies with your feedback and energy.  We can commit to providing a strategic framework, and will take ownership of our individual teams, but we need your help to make them effective.

*********************

Red Team: Focus on Evan Bayh today.  He’s the critical voice in Democrat circles right now.  Democrats respect Bayh, and the position he’s in, in Indiana.  We personally really like Bayh, and got to talk to him up close many times when he was campaigning for Hillary Clinton in 2008.  Bayh, more than anyone, should have stood up in the week before Christmas and told Reid and the other Liberals that they should not have handled Healthcare bills the way they did, trying to ram things through the Senate in the dead of night, in total secret.  It is now time for Evan Bayh to redeem himself, or risk alienating everyone who supported him, guaranteeing we campaign for the Republican in the Senate race this coming November.  Either Bayh steps up and becomes a voice of reason and caution that is desperately needed in the Senate right now, or he should be defeated with the rest of the Democrats up for re-election this year.  It’s time the Dems who claim they are Moderates and Centrists to PROVE IT, and pull the party back to the center, exerting moderation.  Write to Bayh, call him, email him, fax him.  Make sure he understands this is his moment to show leadership, raise his voice louder than Harry Reid’s, and challenge the Liberals who are trying to drive this country into the ground.

*******

BLUE TEAM: Focus on researching George Soros and his Secretaries of State Project, which we started working on yesterday.  We need to wake America up in terms of what Soros is up to, and the first step towards that is mapping out his plans for ourselves and getting our own heads into the game figuring out what we can do to stop him.  Start collecting as much information for us as possible so we can build a timeline of what Soros has been doing.  Let’s get our creative types involved to put this data into graphics people can easily understand.  Can we put up a chart with various disasters like the September 2008 economic crash and show what Soros was doing at that time?  Middle America needs to know who this man is, just as Middle Earth needed to understand the danger of Sauron.  If we can rally people against Soros, and then reveal all the links Soros has to the Liberals he installed in office, we can start to bring him down.  So, get on that research, start looking at that Secretaries of State Project, and let’s start creating images we can use to get people to understand this better.

H/t Katie

*********

GREEN TEAM: If we want to defeat Liberals in 2010 and 2012, we need to teach all of you everything we know about fundraising.  There will be times, like with Scott Brown, where we need to collectively money bomb and raise funds for a candidate offensively.  But, the majority of our time should be spent cutting off the funding sources to the Left.  This is something we have never seen Moderates and Conservatives do, but it’s one of the prime Alinsky Methods the Left employs.  If the Left wants to hurt you, they do things to take away your job, drain your funds, make you unemployable and destitute, and thus remove you as an obstacle.  We need to use these methods against the Left, by convincing the major donors to Liberals to stop giving them any more money.  Today, let’s focus on Claire McCaskill, one of our worst Senators.  Let’s figure out where her campaign money comes from — who is donating to her?  Use FEC records to figure this out.  The individuals who consistently bundle for her or contribute the maximum under law are the ones we want to look at.  Corporations are less inclined to listen to the public than private individuals are.  If people who host large fundraisers for McCaskill suddenly start receiving thousands of letters a day telling them (politely) to stop, and noting what a terrible Senator McCaskill is, then they will stop holding those fundraisers for her.  These people don’t want what they are doing to be made public, and do not want to receive mail from the public because they are raising money for McCaskill.  For corporations, we need to make it know that every dollar spent buying their products or services is money going to McCaskill.  So, people need to stop doing that.  If we target key Liberals who the White House listens to, and who are known to talk to other Senators, and who react poorly to any crisis (like McCaskill), then rattling their fundraising operations will scare the absolute living daylights out of them.

**********

Gold Team: The Left needs to be encouraged to keep pushing Liberals right off the cliff.  Essentially, the Gold Team needs to creatively convince the Left to keep running in the opposite direction of what Americans actually want.  Tell them to ignore Massachusetts as a fluke and put all the blame on Martha Coakley’s terrible campaign.  Tell them the reason voters are mad is because Liberals aren’t liberal enough.  Prode and poke them into pushing the White House to be more Liberal, more out of touch with reality.  It’s like giving Liza Minnelli another martini, and another after that, or dropping off more sandwiches to Oprah.  Don’t argue with them.  Don’t discourage them.  ENCOURAGE them to be more and more crazy and out of touch.

John Edwards Caught With His Pants Down Once Again[ 1, 2, 3, 4 ]

For the record?

When the whole Impeachment/Monica imbroglio was going on, I- like, I suspect, many other people who consider themselves decent and fair people, asked myself a fundamental question:

"Was this really such a big deal?"

And you know what? In all my years of living, I've known lots of cheatin' men and cheatin' women, and out of them all... one man, and one woman, were otherwise trustworthy, honest, and honorable people... they just couldn't turn down a willing member of the opposite sex. "I'm Just a Girl Who Can't Say No..."

The rest? Somehow, somewhere, that cheatin' heart spilled over in to other areas, and you couldn't rely on them there, either. Sometimes little things, sometimes The Really Big Stuff- but, they weren't honest in various ways, or worthy of trust.

So, yep- it does show character- most of the time.

And also for the record, Clinton should have been impeached for what he did to our national security- the Stupid Party has a bad habit of shooting itself in the foot-- reckon it's that KultureSmog that infests the Beltway up there.

And furthermore for the record, I was one of the lowly footsoldiers in that ordeal-- Congressman Bob Barr contacted me long before "impeachment" was a whisper, and asked

"If I start an inquiry in to drafting Letters of Impeachment," will you back me?"

"All the way," sez I...

...and I did...

And I am still standing in the wings, waiting for Kommander ZerØ...

Johnathan Dee wrote about far left blog Little Green Footballs in this weekend’s New York Times Magazine. The piece titled “Right-Wing Flame Wars” was brutally honest. Personally, I thought this paragraph was spot on about LGF’s wacky practices:

No one ever said L.G.F., or any blog, had to be about the free exchange of ideas. “It’s his sandbox,” Pamela Geller says simply. “He can do whatever he wants.” Still, if you read L.G.F. today, you will find it hard to miss the paradox that a site whose origins, and whose greatest crisis, were rooted in opposition to totalitarianism now reads at times like a blog version of “Animal Farm.” Johnson seems obsessed with what others think of him, posting much more often than he used to about references to himself elsewhere on the Internet and breaking into comment threads (a recent one was about the relative merits of top- versus front-loaded washing machines) to call commenters’ attention to yet another attack on him that was posted at some other site.

On the home page, you can click to see the Top 10 comments of the day, as voted on by registered users; typically, half of those comments will be from Johnson himself. Even longtime commenters have been disappeared for one wrong remark, or one too many, and when it comes to wondering where they went or why, a kind of fearful self-censorship obtains. He has banned readers because he has seen them commenting on other sites of which he does not approve. He is, as he reminds them, always watching. L.G.F. still has more than 34,000 registered users, but the comment threads are dominated by the same two dozen or so names. And a handful of those have been empowered by Johnson sub rosa to watch as well — to delete critical comments and, if necessary, to recommend the offenders for banishment. It is a cult of personality — not that there’s any compelling reason, really, that it or any blog should be presumed to be anything else.

“This is one area where I did change,” Johnson admitted. “I realized you can’t just let it be free speech. It doesn’t work that way on the Internet. Total free speech is a recipe for anarchy when people can’t see each other.”

LGF- the Animal Farm of blogs.
Some things just fit.

The Other McCain and Jihad Watch have more on the reasonably accurate description of LGF’s gradual meltdown.

The New York Times features an article about Chuckles and its a good one. Mentions almost everyone of note on the blogosphere, including Theblogmocracy! haha

THE QUESTIONING OF Johnson’s tactics started to come not just from without L.G.F. but also from within. Readers both casual and loyal spoke up in the comment threads to ask, sometimes diplomatically and sometimes not, whether all this casual flinging of epithets like “fascist” wasn’t maybe an overreaction. Johnson’s response, in thousands of cases, was to block their accounts and ban some of them from viewing the blog. “Get off my Web site” was a common farewell. (Johnson insists that this is not true — that no one has ever been banned from L.G.F. merely for disagreeing with him — but the anecdotal evidence to the contrary is voluminous, and the fact that the offending comments were instantly and permanently deleted makes it impossible to check others’ records against his.)

“Running a community is hard,” says Markos Moulitsas of the liberal Web site Daily Kos, “and I don’t criticize people for the approaches they take in trying to control their sites. As I tell my own disgruntled commenters, if they don’t like a site’s comment policies, they can always find greener pastures elsewhere. It’s a big Internet.”

A reasonable approach, which L.G.F.’s exiles mostly rejected. Comment threads all over the blogosphere were hijacked by people sharing stories of their banishment. Another stalker blog — this one assailing Johnson from the right — sprang up, administered by banned former “Lizards,” as L.G.F.’s registrants are known. Johnson responded by posting those former registrants’ real names and photographs on L.G.F. — an astounding breach of civility on the Internet, where anonymity is often prized above all else.

The article is an interview of Charles by Jonathan Dee of the NY Times on January 21, 2010.

Kids, we just hit the big time! Thanks to everyone that has been onboard here.

"L.G.F. still has more than 34,000 registered users, but the comment threads are dominated by the same two dozen or so names. "Just to set the record straight. The claim that Mad King Charles (MKC) never banned anyone for disagreeing with him is an outright lie. I was banned for up-dinging a poster"

I know what you're thinking, as I thought that too -- Funny, but why is it when LGF was getting 500,000 hits a day on the right, he wasn't worth a profile, and now that he's getting 100,000 or less and on the left, he is?

Yeah, that's true. That's probably why they commissioned the piece.

A funny thing happened on the way to publishing it, though.

They discovered he's kind of a dick.

THE QUESTIONING OF Johnson’s tactics started to come not just from without L.G.F. but also from within. (Johnson insists that this is not true — that no one has ever been banned from L.G.F. merely for disagreeing with him — but the anecdotal evidence to the contrary is voluminous, and the fact that the offending comments were instantly and permanently deleted makes it impossible to check others’ records against his.)

...

And oh dear: Check out this dead-bang center shot at the target:

IN THE LAST DAY of November, Johnson delivered the final blow to his old alliances. In a post that he said took him about three minutes to write, he listed 10 reasons “Why I Parted Ways With the Right.” The “reasons” themselves amounted to little more than laundry lists: “Support for conspiracy theories and hate speech (see: Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Birthers, creationists, climate deniers, etc.),” for instance. In the voluminous comment thread attached, Johnson was characteristically interested less in discussing the break itself than in discussing the reaction to it — calling readers’ attention to the number of times it was “re-tweeted,” linking to attacks on him, citing praise from quarters that not long ago would have considered him toxic.

Thanks to beedubya.

An Ohio paper caught Obama supporter and sock puppet “Ellie Light” sending identical “letters to the editor” to a dozen national newspapers using the same name but different addresses.

When confronted the loon bashed Bush and lashed out at the media for not supporting Obama’s disastrous record.
The Plain Dealer reported:

In recent weeks, Light has published virtually identical “Letters to the Editor” in support of President Barack Obama in more than a dozen newspapers. Every letter claimed a different residence for Light that happened to be in the newspaper’s circulation area.

“It’s time for Americans to realize that governing is hard work, and that a president can’t just wave a magic wand and fix everything,” said a letter from alleged Philadelphian Ellie Light, that was published in the Jan. 19 edition of The Philadelphia Daily News.

A letter from Light in the Jan. 20 edition of the San Francisco Examiner concluded with an identical sentence, but with an address for Light all the way across the country in Daly City, California.

Variations of Light’s letter ran in Ohio’s Mansfield News Journal on Jan. 13, with Light claiming an address in Mansfield; in New Mexico’s Ruidoso News on Jan. 12, claiming an address in Three Rivers; in South Carolina’s The Sun News on Jan. 18, claiming an address in Myrtle Beach; and in the Daily News Leader of Staunton, Virginia on Jan. 15, claiming an address in Waynesboro. Her publications list includes other papers in Ohio, West Virginia, Maine, Michigan, IowaPennsylvania and California, all claiming separate addresses.

Light – who e-mailed an identical missive to this reporter on Jan. 16 without listing a hometown – would not answer e-mailed questions about the address discrepancies in newspapers that ran her letter, or her identity, although she did say she wasn’t a former co-worker of this reporter’s who had a similar name.

“I do not write as a representative of any organization,” she said in an e-mail. “The letter I wrote was motivated by surprise and wonderment at the absence of any media support for our President, who won a record-breaking election by a landslide less than 18 months ago, and now, seems to be abandoned by all, supposedly for the infantile reason that he couldn’t make all of Bush’s errors disappear in one day.”

[Video] Glenn Beck's "The Revolutionary Holocaust. Live Free Or Die." 1/22/10.

"The Revolutionary Holocaust: Live Free Or Die," tonight was simply..awesome. I learned a lot of things that I was never taught in school.

It would be awe inspiring how much they hold back from kids these days if it wasn't so obvious they were doing it.

Beck covered everything from Marxism, to Communnism, to Stalin to Nazi's and tied them all together in a way I've never thought of before.

The documentary is in 7 parts. The first video is part 1 and so on. here you go, it's an eye opening documentary and I hope you enjoy it.

Wherein I graciously comment on the Left’s new-found commitment to comity and teamwork with racist, homophobic, sexist, teabagging, privileged, party of no, promoters of violence against womyn Republicans [Darleen Click]

Bite me, Democrats.

New Senate Democratic talking points, distributed in response to last night’s special election in Massachusetts show the party pre-emptively placing the blame for a lackluster agenda moving forward on Republicans, who Dems say they now need to pass legislation.

“Republicans have an obligation to the American people to join us in governing our nation through these difficult times and to help clean up the mess they left behind,” reads the memo obtained by TPMDC. “It is mathematically impossible for Democrats to pass legislation on our own. Senate Republicans to come to the table (sic) with ideas for improving our nation and not obstructionist tactics.”

The new message also attacks Republicans for hypocrisy–for threatening to block Democratic attempts to address the country’s fiscal situations after saddling it with soaring deficits under the previous administration.

Eff your continued “Blame Bush” meme. Eff your shop-worn “if you don’t work with us YOU are to blame” passive-aggressive tactic. Eff your charge of “hypocrisy” against Republicans while trying to wrap yourself in “WE care about Seniors” when the ObamaCare abortion is all about stripping billions from Medicare.

Whatever Republican spending sins of the recent past, and they are many, as of 2006, the abject gluttony, greed and lust for power of Congressional Democrats make your tu quoque arguments grotesque.

ObamaCare is a quart of vanilla ice cream mixed with a gallon of dog feces and regardless of how much vanilla ice cream you want to add to it, it is always going to taste like shit. Demanding that Republicans, who have been literally locked out of the process by Pelosi, Reid and “I won”, who have offered time and again alternative reforms (even John McCain gave the broad outlines of the Republican approach to reform during the ‘08 campaign), come forward to put their names on the shit ice cream OR ELSE demonstrates your moral bankruptcy. You are doggedly pursuing the same sneering strategy with the economy attempting to ignite class warfare in order to usher in your dream of a complete Nanny State.

And until you start shedding your basic contempt for American citizens – that somehow they aren’t intelligent enough to know what’s good for them and only YOU stand between them an utter ruin, so you have to tell them by law how to light their homes, what homes they will be allowed to live in, what car to drive, what food to eat or grow, what doctors they see, how much money they will be allowed to earn and keep, what wealth they will be allowed to leave their children, what churches they should be allowed to attend, what thoughts they will be allowed to think …

Eff.You.

They say things like “Senate Republicans [need] to come to the table with ideas for improving our nation and not obstructionist tactics,” because they know that their opponents will never get a fair forum for presenting their plans. Any policy that doesn’t conform to their preferences will be shouted down and painted as obstructionist, and the MSM chorus will happily play along.

I don’t think they realize that the game is changing. I think the day is coming soon when the networks realize that the emperor really has no clothes, and also realize that their continued lying to their audience cannot be sustained. One charismatic Republican standing up and saying “You’ve had three generations to get Medicare right, and you still haven’t done it” will put a stake through the heart of ObamaCare. One Blue Dog standing up and saying, “I cannot in good conscience saddle my grandchildren with another trillion dollars of debt” will put the brakes on Pelosi’s Money Train.

The pendulum is slowing, and soon it will swing back toward the center. Look around — people can feel it happening around them. The insults and accusations of racism don’t work when they’re applied to more than half the country. Not even Olby can get away with calling Massachusetts a bastion of ignorant rednecks.

For the first time in a long time, I’m actually looking forward to the future. I think I’m going to have a ball, rubbing my Proggy friends’ faces in it.

Revolutionary Holocaust: Live Free or Die

Yesterday Glenn Beck had one of the greatest documentaries ever shown on TV.  His Revolutionary Holocaust: Live Free or Die, exposed the origins of Progressivism. This Ideology, which has it’s origins in the French Revolutionary and the Jacobins, has created more suffering in Human History than any other movement with the exception being Islamo-Imperialism. It has been responsible for the death of millions through genocide and mass murder.

Progressivism comes in many flavors, Nazism, Bolshevism, Maoism, Fascism, the 3rd World Liberation Ideology and the American New Left (Progressives). Although there are differences, the result is the same: an elite controlling the masses.

Here at the Blogmocracy we have been documenting the Progressive Movement for the last 7 months and now Beck has validated our work.

Below are clips from the documentary, enjoy!

VIDEOS AT THE LINK.]

Stand Up for HillBuzz!

For what it’s worth around here, I support the Hillbuzz guys all the way. Yes, they’re gayboys and former Hillary supporters, but they are closer to our side than you might think.

Furthermore, they know a lot of stuff about Kommander ZerØ and his Chicago days- that’s the main reason they’re being targeted.

Remember, the Left hates Apostates even more than dissenters.

We just wanted to take this moment to thank all of you for your solid support in what’s been a difficult week here.

Most especially, we want to thank Cynthia Yockey for being such a big sister to us and getting the word out on what the Left, in the form of Daily Kos, the Democratic Underground, and Moveon.org, was doing to attack and defame us.  Michelle Malkin, Conservatives4Palin, Riehlworld, Instapundit, LegalInsurrection, and many other sites we enjoy came right to our side and said, clearly, that when the Left attacks people using the Alinsky playbook, moderates, conservatives, and independents will not sit idly by and allow them to get away with it.

All of the attacks originated, from what we can tell, at a site called StupidPumas.com.   We never heard of this site before this weekend, but it appears to be in business for the sole purpose of going after PUMA sites and people like Darragh Murphy and Will Bowers personally.  We find it interesting that whoever runs StupidPumas does so anonymously, while simultaneously attacking people like Murphy, Bowers, and ourselves, libeling, defaming, and maligning us, but not stepping into the light and revealing who they are themselves.

We’d appreciate any information you can find revealing exactly who these people at StupidPumas.com are, so that we can begin legal proceedings against them.  This site attacked one of us personally, called him a racist, and sought to destroy his livelihood here in Chicago.  This site was picked up in a coordinated effort by Daily Kos, Democratic Underground, and Moveon.org, instanteously, with calls to commit physical violence against us.  The Left used StupidPumas to launch its attack, then used the rest of the Leftist sphere to echo and amplify it.

This is classic Alinsky.

If we sit back and don’t do anything about this, and let the Left get away with doing this to us, then what’s to stop them from doing it to others as well?  The Left’s favorite tactic is calling someone a RAAACIST, but they don’t realize that the American public is waking up to this trick.  The more people who stand up to these trolls and prosecute them, the less effective they will be.

This attack cost one of us a few contract, freelance jobs — so, in that respect, StupidPumas was successful.  They took money out of our pockets and hurt a small businessman.  But, as we understand it, that action amounts to tortious interference with a contract, whereby a third party (StupidPumas) costs an individual employment, and is thus liable for those damages.

Whoever runs StupidPumas, and whoever they work for in the Left, is going to get a wakeup call, let us assure you.

There was much debate here at Buzzquarters on what we should say or not say about any of this.  But, honestly, the damage is already done.  StupidPumas, Daily Kos, Moveon.org, DemocraticUnderground, and their flunkie sites are defaming us, costing us employment, libeling us, and literally taking food off the table here.  Why shouldn’t we publicly stand up to them, and use this as an example to teach all of you how you can fight back against the Left when the Left’s stormtroopers and brown shirts come for you.

And, more likely than not, if you continue to oppose the socialist takeover of this country and the reckless, naive, and dangerous policies of the current president, then the Left will at some point in the future come for you too.

They came for us, and we stood up against them, with the support of others out there who know what it’s like to be attacked themselves.  If we get your help in prosecuting StupidPumas, Daily Kos, DemocraticUnderground, and the rest to the fullest, we can teach them the lesson that the Alinsky playbook has been exposed, and an effective counter-book is being written for how to take back this country from these radicals.

You have no idea how much we’d rather be out enjoying a nice relaxing Saturday in Chicago, instead of having to deal with this headache.  But, somebody has to fight back against these thugs so they don’t think they will always win.  It looks like that somebody has to be us — and we certainly hope we have your continued support, because going up against the Soros Gang, we sure will need it.

We’re delighted some in the media are waking up to the fact that the current administration, and its army of astroturfing trolls, has been playing them like a harp from Hell.

“Ellie Light” has been posting pro-Utopia editorials in papers across the country, using a different address each time.

What she says is cut and pasted over and over again, pursuant to the PR goals of the current White House.

This is trolling, people.  It’s what we’ve been trying to draw your attention to.  This is what David Axelrod’s public strategies firm specialized in.  It’s what the DNC and White House are engaged in, with MSM support, 24/7.

There’s the “Ellie Light” side of trolling, where pro-Administration pieces are posted everywhere, reading from the same script — and then there’s the “Nellie Dark” side of things, where trolls seek to take down anyone opposing the administration or calling it out on its lies and general socialist craziness.  That’s when the trolls accuse people of being RAAACISTS, try to destroy their businesses, attack their families, threaten violence against them, and do whatever they can to destroy administration critics.

We have never, in all our history, seen a White House like this.  Nixon didn’t even do things like this, on such a scale, with the loving support of the media.

Who do you think “Ellie Light” is, and how do you think astroturfing and trolling can finally be exposed and explained to the public at large?

THAT, right there, is one of our big goals for 2010:  to wake the public up to these tactics so they are no longer effective tools of the Left.  As things stand now, “Ellie Light” and “Nellie Dark” still manage to manipulate the public in the ways this White House intends.  We wouldn’t put it past Rahm Emanuel being Ellie and Nellie himself.

It sure wouldn’t be the first time that former ballerina and current White House Chief of Staff was called nelly.

Wouldn’t be the first time he was involved in anything destructive, malicious, vindictive, and underhanded, either.

We know all the things the Obama administration dislikes about America:
Banks, business, journalists who ask actual questions, investors, entrepreneurs, unintimidated voters, traditional alliances, military tribunals, Gitmo, the private sector, the middle class, cities that are still thriving, or trying not to turn into Detroit, people who make more than federal workers while working within the private sector, George W. Bush, transparency, capitalism and possibly the rights to free speech, the rights to dissent and tea partiers.

Also, in general, he doesn’t seem to like being president, much, and having to do more than look pretty, read the teleprompter and blame Bush.

What does he like about America? As one sycophant in the WH press corp has asked, What “enchants” him? The question is worth asking as Obama seems to be declaring a war against suburbia. 77% of Americans think our president is against business. Jobs? I guess we’ll all have to work for the government. It’s the only thing Obama seems to like.

It seems to me that Obama stopped enjoying being president
when the Ft. Hood massacre occurred, and Obama had to focus on something besides domestic legislation. His speech at Ft. Hood was alright, but his initial responses to it were less-than inspiring, and recent reports about the incident are less-than-reassuring. That the Obama government can put out a report on Fr. Hood that does not mention Islam or terrorism communicates that Obama is still very uncomfortable with Ft. Hood

Since that event, Obama has seemed prickly and generally in a bad mood. He looks, increasingly, like a man who wishes it would all just go away. His exposed disconnect is disconcerting, his spending habits are deplorable and his instincts about the war on terror seem, um, undeveloped. Whether it comes to who is and his not prosecuted in a court of law, Obama’s Justice Department is remarkably troubling, as is Obama’s odd suggestion that the Justice Department seems to work independently of him, and he has no control over Eric Holder’s decisions.

I mean, he only hired the guy.

Byron York writes:

It seems like a pretty simple question. Who made the decision to charge Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the accused terrorist arrested for trying to blow up a Northwest Airlines jet on Christmas Day, as an everyday criminal, as opposed to an enemy combatant?

After all, Abdulmutallab was trained by al Qaeda, equipped with an al Qaeda-made bomb, and dispatched by al Qaeda to bring down the airliner and its 278 passengers. Even though the Obama administration has mostly abandoned the term “war on terror,” the president himself has said clearly that the United States is at war with al Qaeda. So who decided to treat Abdulmutallab as a civilian, read him the Miranda warning, and provide him with a government-paid lawyer — giving him the right to remain silent and denying the United States potentially valuable intelligence that might have been gained by a military-style interrogation?

Writes the WaPo:

The Obama administration had three options: It could charge [Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab] in federal court. It could detain him as an enemy belligerent. Or it could hold him for prolonged questioning and later indict him, ensuring that nothing Mr. Abdulmutallab said during questioning was used against him in court.

It is now clear that the administration did not give serious thought to anything but Door No. 1. This was myopic, irresponsible and potentially dangerous.

Ah, that Eric Holder,
the rogue AG who apparently does not communicate with his president!

Obama seems very content to keep his distance from his appointments, his legislators, his allies, and the nation he wants to govern, or at least that is the impression one gets. I am not the only one who thinks that Obama is not much liking being president

Maybe it’s me; maybe I can’t see any Obama speech as a good one these days. But today in Ohio, it seemed like the president was way off his game. But I thought he was defensive, prickly, almost indignant that he’s found himself in the tough spot that he’s in.

He began by talking about how much he didn’t like being in Washington, and apparently said something about the job being stifling. Sir, you spent two years trying to get this job.

One of his rallying cries as, “This is not about me!” Yes, Mr. President, but it’s about the decisions you make and the policies you’re trying to enact.

Now that the glory and adulation have passed, now that the pageant has ended, and the presidency has become a real job, requiring real maturity and a bit of real (not faux) open-mindedness, Obama seems unhappy with most Americans (except the unions) and the feeling of unhappiness and distrust is quite mutual.

Obama is not an optimist; in his incoherence, he cannot passably communicate his love of country (or countrymen) with reliability. He reminds me of Jimmy Carter, with less bitterness but more malaise.

We need better than this, and we deserve better than this. We need a president who seems to understand who Americans are. We need a president who wants to be the president, and not the prince. We need a president who seem to actually like his country.

We need a president who…well…actually…we need a president.

What? Too much? Too over the top? Come on, some people make a very good living by opining in just that way!

Many thanks to everyone who has been helping to track down the identities of the Leftist thugs who have been defaming, threatening, harassing, and libeling us.  It feels like we’re making real progress, and are close to zeroing in on the IDs of these people.  Expect a full update soon, once we have time to pull everything together, and piece together all the clues you’ve been uncovering.  What you’ve been helping compile in the thread on this topic has led to other revelations, and new avenues of mystery and intrigue.  It’s like something out of John Grisham novels — which we can assure you are more fun to read than live through.

Someone told us to be very careful with digging too deep into this, because if our hunch is right and this does lead back to the DNC and Organizing for America themselves, there are many people who will do us physical harm to keep us from exposing them.

Well, they’ve made the mistake of targeting single, gay guys with no children, no one depending on us for anything, and no real reason to sit back and let them attack us unchallenged.  We live in Chicago.  We’ve been mugged.  We’ve been physically assaulted before.  We’ve been dealing with nonstop harassment from Obama supporters for over two years now — all in service to their “Lightbringer” of Hope and Change, whose message can only, it seems, be spread through violence and thuggery.

If their “Lightbringer” really was so wonderful, and what he was selling truly was so magical, then why do they need to threaten, attack, and try to intimidate people the way they do?

Listen, we grew up gay in the Midwest, where we were abused, threatened, maligned, harassed, and blackmailed before…by people much more creative than the Hope and Change Gang…people who covered their tracks better.  What these Obama-supporting thugs don’t realize is that when you launch Alinsky attacks against people who have been subjected to Alinksy attacks their whole lives, like us, we aren’t going to just turn tail and run.

If they think just because we’re gay that we’re going to wilt into puddles on the floor and let ourselves be bullied, then these homophobes have another thing coming.

Instead of being silenced and bullied, we’re going to do everything we can to not only identify the people who are attacking us, publish THEIR real names, and publish THEIR photos, the way they’ve done to the people they’ve victimized…but we are going to take things a step further, and identify who they are working for in the DNC, Organizing for America, or even the White House itself.  And we will prosecute the lot of them to the fullest extent of the law.

We hope that whenever the Left uses these tactics, against any of this administration’s opponents, that people band together and provide the detective work to drag these goblins and orcs out into the sun.

We plan on using everything we’ve got to help anyone else in the future who is victimized like this.  In service of that, we’re happy to use this attack on us as a case study of how to respond to the Obama camp when it lashes out at its opponents.  Systematically, we can, together, figure out where these attacks are coming from and who is driving them.  We can figure out who’s writing the talking points to deliver this garbage.

And if we can really trace this all the way to the DNC or White House itself…just imagine what will happen then.

America needs to see what “Hope” and “Change” really mean…to see how Obama’s minions really behave.  To see what they are up to, in ceaseless efforts to shut down all opposition to him and his socialist agenda.

We will fight these people until they actually do kill us.

And if that happens, we hope and pray some of you out there will continue the fight after us, and continue to expose these people.  They can’t take all of us down, and in attacking so many of us, they will, we believe, bring THEMSELVES down in the end.

A full report on all we’ve learned later, we promise.

Left-Wing Demons Viciously Attack HillBuzz Blog for Its Scott Brown Support… HillBuzz Is Fighting the Good Fight for America, So Needs Your Help

Posted By Vicki McClure Davidson on January 19, 2010

One of the best blogs out there, HillBuzz — a strong supporter of Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton and the Constitution — is under despicable attack by soulless, left-wing demons (mostly from that revolting leftist site, Daily Kos) from the fetid depths of the Hellmouth… primarily because of the writers’ current support of Scott Brown for Massachusetts US Senate.

The Left is running scared, and if they can shut down one blog’s voice of opposition against POTUS and the Democrats’ socialist agenda, other conservative blog sites will be the next targets. They’ve continued to attack Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and Scott Brown, and are now branching out to those blogs that don’t embrace Obama and are critical of the Democrats.

But fine, have it your way. Tuesday’s vote was really a plea by a desperate people for even more Obama. We’re going to need even more Obama teleprompters, even more Obama speeches, even more sonorous banalities unrelated to action, even more “Let me be clears” prefacing even more tinny generalities, on even more reams of even more double-spaced paper. And we’re gonna need a really heavy-duty rig to carry all that verbiage.

Maybe Scott Brown can sell ’em his truck.

63. ahem:

The old magic ain’t a-comin’ back; 1) Obama blew his cover, everyone with a brain now knows he’s a marxist–not a centrist, never a centrist; 2) his rotten, ruthless, inhumane, statist Left agenda is hanging out there for all to see; you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube; 3) he’s unforgivably bankrupted the country and–what’s worse–our children; few will volunteer to be a serf to the government unions; 4) disenchanted and influential ex-fans like Zuckerman will make it their mission in life to dig back into Obama’s past to figure out how they could have been so deceived and will expose him for what he is; 5) there are fashions in thought, and Obama is no longer fashionable; 6) the media is fickle; some of them will see the tide has turned and get a pair; the rest will suffer the rising anti-media tide; 7) the backlash from the financial sector and its victims, as they realize they are being reduced to eating field grass will make Scott Brown’s election look like one of Obama’s better days; if the dollar goes through the floor, goodbye to life–and politics–as we’ve known it; 9) unfortunately, we’ll probably see more terrorism on American soil.

Oh, and the fact that his party is fracturing under the pressure of its own greed and mendacity won’t help, either.

Politically, 2010 should be interesting.

How does the Constitution deal with a President who is incapacitated by injury (Garfield lingered for 80 days) or illness (Wilson was incapacitated for 17 months) or who is otherwise removed from office? The 25th Amendment was passed after JFK was assassinated. Sections 1 through 3 deal with vacancies in the office of President and Vice President and temporary voluntary transfer of presidential power. The meat is in section 4... In effect this allows the Veep with sufficient support to impeach the President subject to a later trial in the Senate. The grounds on which he can do so are more flexible than those granted to the House of Representatives in the original Constitution under Article II sect.

THE SYSTEM WORKED:

Barry Eynon of Coopersburg, Pa., said in a phone interview that he was in the third row when another passsenger “saw this person trying to open the airplane door and trying to get into the cockpit.” The other passenger “jumped up and grabbed him from behind and yelled for help.”

Eynon said, “I jumped up and grabbed him from the front.”

Three or four other passengers also helped to subdue the man, putting him in a seat and ensuring he remained there, Eynon said.

Somebody ought to come up with a name for this surprisingly effective approach to security . . . .

UPDATE: Reader Richard Macklin writes:

It would be worth updating with a comparison of the Pack response to 9/11 and the Herd response to Katrina. Particularly looking at how much of the federal response is based on the expectation of a pack mentality and how that factored into the “failures” of FEMA.

After tripling the US national deficit in one year and watching the unemployment rate soar above 10 percent the democrats have decided on a plan for the midterm elections.

They’re going to bash Bush.

During the Bush years, despite the 2000 Recession, the attacks on 9-11, the stock market scandals, Hurricane Katrina, and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Bush Administration was able to reduce the budget deficit from 412 billion dollars in 2004 to 162 billion dollars in 2007, a sixty percent drop. In 2004 the federal budget deficit was 412 billion dollars. In 2005 it dropped to 318 billion dollars. In 2006 the deficit dipped to 248 billion dollars. And, in 2007 it fell below 200 billion to 162 billion dollars. During the Bush years the average unemployment rate was 5.2 percent, the economy saw the strongest productivity growth in four decades and there was robust GDP growth. These were amazing accomplishments considering the unexpected challenges. You certainly didn’t read much about this in the press.

But, things changed in 2007. Democrats took over Congress, gas prices started to rise, and at the end of the year and into 2008 several financial institutions started to crumble as the housing bubble began to burst. Of course, it should be noted that President Bush publicly called for the reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac 17 times in 2008 alone before Congress acted. Democrats, on the other hand, blocked reform numerous times. It was later reported after the 2008 election that Bush had nothing to do with the financial crisis. Hoover Institution visiting fellow Scott S. Powell wrote in Barron’s in February of 2009 that the present crisis began in the 1970s, during the Carter administration, with passage of the Community Reinvestment Act to stem bank redlining and liberalize lending in order to extend home ownership in lower-income communities. This risk was acknowledged in the Bush administration’s first fiscal-year budget, released in April 2001. Sadly these warnings were ignored by Congress.

But, the facts won’t stop democrats from blaming Bush for their failed policies. In fact, democrats have decided to target George Bush in the 2010 midterm elections:

Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., who chairs his party’s House campaign team, did not mention health care in his statement following Brown’s win in Massachusetts. He focused on a favorite target that some colleagues fear is losing its potency: George W. Bush.

In the midterm elections, Van Hollen said, Democrats will resist “the same failed Bush-Cheney policies that brought our economy to the brink of collapse.”

Let’s hope a few Republicans decide to stand up to this awful slander against Bush.
It’s getting old.

The success of "Ellie Light" and "Mark Spivey" in getting their letters to the editor published is pretty darn impressive. The next time you hear someone on the left accuse the parents who make signs with their young kids and load up the strollers and juice boxes and travel to tea parties at their own expense of being astroturf, remind them of Ellie Light. Or Mark Spivey. Most media outlets require a full name, home address and phone number for verification purposes as part of their "Letter to the Editor" policies. Many policies also include a provision that the letter be written to that particular paper only, not to multiple recipients. Evidently such policies were not followed in the cases of Ellie Light and Mark Spivey. Follow the links above to Patterico and Dan Riehl for updated counts and details about the trails left by each.

The UN’s top climate change body has issued an unprecedented apology over its flawed prediction that Himalayan glaciers were likely to disappear by 2035.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said yesterday that the prediction in its landmark 2007 report was “poorly substantiated” and resulted from a lapse in standards. “In drafting the paragraph in question the clear and well-established standards of evidence, required by the IPCC procedures, were not applied properly,” the panel said. “The chair, vice-chair and co-chairs of the IPCC regret the poor application of IPCC procedures in this instance.”

rolling ...

The scientist behind the bogus claim in a Nobel Prize-winning UN report that Himalayan glaciers will have melted by 2035 last night admitted it was included purely to put political pressure on world leaders.

Dr Murari Lal also said he was well aware the statement, in the 2007 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), did not rest on peer-reviewed scientific research.

In an interview with The Mail on Sunday, Dr Lal, the co-ordinating lead author of the report’s chapter on Asia, said: ‘It related to several countries in this region and their water sources. We thought that if we can highlight it, it will impact policy-makers and politicians and encourage them to take some concrete action.

...downhill.

Jonathan Leake’s story at the Time is Online, linking Pauchari’s TERI organization to government funding grants that were solicited using the bogus “Himalayan glaciers will disappear by 2035″ claim.

Christopher Booker of the Telegraph has a story that shows Pachauri’s own employee at TERI was the source of the bogus glacier claim. Now the corruption comes full circle.

Stay tuned....

FROM HOPE AND CHANGE TO THIS, IN THE ECONOMIST: Stop! The size and power of the state is growing, and discontent is on the rise.

America’s most vibrant political force at the moment is the anti-tax tea-party movement. Even in leftish Massachusetts people are worried that Mr Obama’s spending splurge, notably his still-unpassed health-care bill, will send the deficit soaring. In Britain, where elections are usually spending competitions, the contest this year will be fought about where to cut. Even in regions as historically statist as Scandinavia and southern Europe debates are beginning to emerge about the size and effectiveness of government. . . .

The Economist will return to these areas in coming months. All raise different issues; and different countries may need to deal with them in different ways. But one large general point links them: a great battle about the state is brewing. And, as in another influential revolution, the first shot may have been heard in Massachusetts.

Read the whole thing. And I love the illustration . . . .

UPDATE: Reader C.J. Burch writes: “I think deep down inside the rest of us are beginning to understand how that little fella in the illustration that’s about to get eaten feels. Heretofore it’s been the journalist’s job to level the playing field for him. Now he has to do it himself. That’s why there are tea parties.”

UN Haiti Staff Have Wi-Fi – And A Bar

January 24th, 2010

From the UK’s Daily Mail:

Aid piling up at UN’s ‘cold beer’ compound as red tape keeps aid from desperate Haitians – while UN staff have wi-fi and a bar

By Caroline Graham
24th January 2010

It is a tale of two cities. One has ice-cold beers, internet access, thousands of men and billions of dollars’ worth of  gleaming machinery, together with piles of food, blankets, generators and other aid relief from around the globe.

This is the heavily fortified US-controlled Port-au-Prince airport and neighbouring United Nations compound.

The other is the devastated city of Port-au-Prince, where the stench of death fills the air and starving people are in utter despair, still in need of the basic necessities of food, water, shelter and medical care.

Never, in more than 20 years of covering disasters, has the void between the might and power of the Westernised world and the penniless and pitiful people they have been mobilised to ‘save’ been so glaringly obvious to me.

This nearly two weeks after the earthquake that devastated Haiti’s capital, leaving an estimated 100,000 dead in the rubble and another 1.4million homeless.

Despite a vast worldwide aid effort – spurred on by pleas from celebrities such as George Clooney in Friday night’s Haiti Telethon – the lack of help reaching those who need it is such that even aid agencies on the ground are now admitting they have fallen woefully short.

Alejandro Chicheri, Press officer for the UN-funded World Food Programme, said: ‘Of course we would like to be doing more to help the people on the streets but the logistics are a nightmare.

‘These things take time and we are going as fast as we can.’

As I landed at Port-au-Prince airport on Friday on a charter flight funded by the charity World Vision from the neighbouring Dominican Republic, the tragedy was visible even before our jet touched down.

Vast swathes of the city are flattened and huge areas of makeshift ‘tent towns’ are visible from the air, along with long lines of people wandering aimlessly along the roads and gathering outside Western-controlled compounds like the UN’s in desperate hope of handouts.

The airport, now fully under the control of the US military, is like something out of a Hollywood action film. Choppers whirl overhead.

Huge vehicles rumble around filled with men in uniform. Large passenger and cargo jets, emblazoned with flags from around the globe, sit on the tarmac.

Some were being emptied of their crates of food, milk powder, rice and water. Others just sat idle.

Swarms of US military personnel and coastguards were busying themselves by working on their gleaming vehicles and aircraft.

Hundreds of blue-helmeted UN soldiers lined one edge of the runway but, during the hour I watched them, went nowhere as they visibly started wilting in the blazing 32C Caribbean heat

The airport compound is, by any standards, an astonishing feat of organisation.

I spoke to Christian minister Brent Gambrell who was one of the first to arrive, just eight hours after the earthquake hit…

‘It was chaos for the first few days. The airport closed down because they couldn’t handle the flights wanting to come in. There was no organisation until the US military got involved.

‘But it has become more difficult to actually move the stuff out of here and get it to the people who need it. There is so much red tape and bureaucracy.’

He estimated the number of troops and aid workers now living and working inside the airport at around 8,000…

Outside the airport, hundreds of Haitians are lined up, asking for help, water and work. Bonni Pierre Louis is one of the lucky ones.

He was hired as a translator by a search-and-rescue team. He told me: ‘It is heartbreaking to me. My sister lost her only daughter in the quake. I am making money and I have food and shelter. Outside it is bad, really bad. People I know were eating cat food but even that has run out now.

‘Most Haitians who can get out of the city are now going to the countryside. They are saving themselves. If you wait for aid, you wait a long time.’

There are some signs that the aid is starting to get to those who need it. Next to the airport, at the UN compound – from where I sat writing this, with internet access, near the light from a shower block and with an ice-cold beer from the on-base bar (complete with potted plants) – supplies are starting to go out.

Frenchman Alain Jaffre is the Program Controller for the World Food Programme. He told me the agency had started providing food to local orphanages and hopes to seriously start stepping up its efforts in the next few days.

On Wednesday, he and a team heard about the Coeur de la Nativitie orphanage, an hour’s drive north of the compound.

There, 56 children died but 78 survived.

His team set out in a low-key convoy with just one car full of food and supplies. He said: ‘I have been to many orphanages and usually the kids run up to you and they are smiling and playful. But not in this case. It was heartbreaking. It was like something out of Romania…

‘We are starting to get aid out to the orphanages but it is still very chaotic on the streets. It is not advisable to go in a big convoy with guys with guns because then it’s obvious you have food and there is a chance the orphanage might get looted.

‘There is no infrastructure so we are having to work through distribution problems before we head out.’

Late on Friday, the World Food Programme offered to take me to see one of the orphanages they are providing supplies to.

A gleaming white four-wheel-drive vehicle arrived in which we waited…and waited. I was told it was because we were expecting ‘a VIP guest’. In the end, the trip was cancelled. The VIP and her handlers had vetoed it.

I later learned the VIP was Princess Haya of Jordan. She flew in with supplies in her role as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, met her country’s troops then flew back to the Dominican Republic ‘for safety reasons’ – all in the comfort of a private 747.

Once you do get out into the earthquake area, it is the smell you notice first. Sick, sweet and acrid, it hangs in the air and permeates every pore.

They tell you to put Vicks in your nose and to cover your face with a scarf but nothing works. The smell of death is everywhere.

Yesterday I visited the remote Christ Roi area which was one of the poorest and most dangerous shanty towns even before the earthquake hit.

Flies and mosquitoes swarmed over every pile of rubble.

Even though it took me only 45 minutes by taxi from the UN HQ – where there are piles of food, water and medical supplies – when I reached the village of 600 people they said they had seen no aid workers at all.

One girl of eight called Addi had a gaping wound on her left leg that was already smelling and turning gangrenous. The leg was turning green…

I was travelling with emergency medical services worker Ryan Flaherty, 22, from New Jersey.

He had stumbled across the area last week and had been ‘horrified’ that no aid had reached the village.

He said: ‘I have been begging for help but they just keep telling me it’s too dangerous to bring food and supplies in. But if it’s not too dangerous for you and it’s not too dangerous for me, why is it too dangerous for United Nations troops with guns? It’s disgusting that there is so much food and medical stuff so near and yet these people who are in desperate need are not getting it.’

We drove for an hour. On every street corner there were crudely-written hand-made signs saying ‘help us’ or ‘medicine and food needed here’.

Smoke from a fire is seen on Friday, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, during an aerial survey

One woman told me that she was too scared to be in any building now. ‘I just keep walking,’ she said. I passed hundreds of people just wandering aimlessly.

Some looters had set up improvised street stalls selling plundered tracksuits and T-shirts at vastly inflated prices.

The biggest queues were outside stores with Western Union money wiring facilities.

Word had got out on Friday that Western Union was opening for business so that friends and family outside Haiti could wire in funds.

But all three stores I passed had armed guards outside the gates with the doors firmly locked. People were just waiting in hope.

Everywhere I went I saw mothers with babies washing clothes in filthy water. But they are the lucky ones. Many other children are now orphans.

When our taxi stopped they would come up and hold out their hands, and I wished I could give them all something but there were simply too many.

One boy of about six even hung on to the side of the taxi as we drove took off and we had to gently prise him off…

Isn’t that always the way with the United Nations?

The White House released a report in early January claiming their failed stimulus created or saved 2 million jobs.
This was up 900,00 jobs from December’s estimates.
In the real world, the economy lost 85,000 jobs in December and the unemployment rate is stuck at 10%.

In the real world, 40% of the unemployed, or 4% of the workforce, or 6.1 million people, have now been unemployed for over 27 weeks. In November this number was 5.9 million, and a year ago it was a meager 2.5 million.

Maybe that explains why today three different White House officials gave three different stories on the number of jobs “created or saved” by the Obama administration.
The Politico reported:

White House advisers appearing on the Sunday talk shows gave three different estimates of how many jobs could be credited to President Obama’s Recovery Act.

The discrepancy was pointed out by a Republican official in an email to reporters noting that “Three presidential advisers on three different programs [gave] three different descriptions of the trillion-dollar stimulus bill.”

Valerie Jarrett had the most conservative count, saying “the Recovery Act saved thousands and thousands of jobs,” while David Axelrod gave the bill the most credit, saying it has “created more than – or saved more than 2 million jobs.” Press Secretary Robert Gibbs came in between them, saying the plan had “saved or created 1.5 million jobs.”

There are also a number of other instances of astroturfing being winkled out over there.

NOW THEY TELL US: “The press went to the mat for Obama, yet now we learn that even during the campaign, there were signals that he lacked some important presidential qualities.”

CHANGE: CNN Poll: For First Time, More Say Dem Control Is Bad For Country. “The poll also finds that for the first time since the 2006 takeover, the number who have an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party equals the number who view the Democratic Party favorably. That’s at 46% apiece.”

CHANGE: December home sales down nearly 17 percent: Home sales plunge nearly 17 percent in December after tax credit deadline extended. “Sales of previously occupied homes took the largest monthly drop in more than 40 years last month...

So How Is the Stimulus Working Out? Part II. Devastating employment-vs.-stimulus chart,

plus this: “Two things are sure. First, if it weren’t for workers’ mass exit from the labor force (600,000 workers exited in December alone), the unemployment numbers would look even worse that they already do. Second, government spending cannot create jobs.”

FREEMAN HUNT: “You want a big tent? It’s fiscal conservatism. The people are overwhelmingly in favor of it. You offer that, you follow through on it, and you get the Republicans, the moderates, and a sizable chunk of disaffected Democrats.”

NICK GILLESPIE ON THE HALLUCINATING RIK HERTZBERG. “It is always great to see folks such as Hertzberg elevating the level of discourse.”

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST: Beau Biden won’t run for Senate after all. What’s next? Bye, bye Bayh? Or a Boxer past her prime? “The fact that Boxer’s support is frozen at 46 percent against all GOP challengers suggests that the race, for now, is about her rather than those running against her. Boxer is viewed very favorably by 25 percent of California voters but very unfavorably by 34 percent.”

UPDATE: The Browning of America.

Plus: Berry: Obama said “big difference” between ‘10 and ‘94 is “me.” Apparently, Berry found that insufficiently persuasive. Perhaps Obama should be reading a more diverse assortment of blogs.

OBAMA’S PET GOAT MOMENT? “Please let this be a photoshop!”

Alas, no.

"We were not consulted"

Raymond W. Kelly’s remarks Thursday to The New York Young Republican Club started out sounding very boilerplate – like a speech by any of the City’s mayors, police officials, and tourism execs: “Crime is down, tourism is up, come to Times Square and see a show.” So why had the NY Post’s Maggie Haberman announced his appearance as “unusual” and “surprising”?

By the time it was over, it was clear why. We had witnessed this politically independent, world-class police commissioner quietly employ a few dry statistics and facts to slide an anvil off a ledge, allowing gravity to deliver its full weight upon Barack Obama’s head.

For the past week, we’ve been thrust into the sort of maelstrom John Grisham conjures for his characters: for whatever reason, out of the blue, one day ordinary people find themselves up against a ruthless conspiracy bent on their destruction.

We’d never heard the term “Puma Hunter” until this week, though we were aware of sporadic attacks on people like Darragh Murphy at PUMApac.org or Will Bowers, two of the most prominent and outspoken Democrats who witnessed the brutal attacks of the Left upon Hillary Clinton supporters during the primaries, and, like us, decided they could not “shut up and sit down” once the Left’s “Lightbringer” was awarded the nomination and began his general election campaign.  PUMA stands for “People United Means Action”, which sums up the grassroots movement that emerged after the DNC’s Rules & Bylaws Committee met on May 31st, 2008 and essentially awarded the nomination to Obama, despite the clear will of the voters. On that day, many of us saw the fix was in, and we became determined to make sure the American people would ultimately realize a coup within the DNC itself had installed George Soros-funded socialists in place to seize and forever alter the former Democrat Party.

Writers for PUMA sites were viciously attacked by the Hope and Change Gang from the very beginning, because we, to this day, refuse to be silenced about the thuggery, voter fraud, intimidation, harassment, and extortion the Obama campaign used to win the nomination and general election. The news media has completely ignored all of this, but those of us who campaigned on the ground for Hillary Clinton across the country saw, firsthand, the Alinsky Methods playbook used page by page against anyone and everything that stood in Obama’s way.

“Puma Hunters” appear to be a page from the same book that spawned armies of cyber trolls to serve Obama. Unlike trolls used generally speaking, working off new talking points each day to attack Obama’s opponents on policy points, “Puma Hunters” are operatives that focus specifically on destroying the lives of PUMAs:  they libel and defame us, they make us unemployable by filling internet searches with false accusations of racism, they harass us at work to the point where companies cut our contracts for fear of losing business, etc.  From what you’ve all, collectively, helped us gather in terms of clues this week, we believe these “Puma Hunters” are being directed by the DNC and Organizing for America, on some level, to berate, harass, and personally destroy moderate Democrats, Independents, and the newly minted former-Democrats who remain committed to exposing Obama for who he really is, and who his followers and goons really are.

What follows is our understanding of “Puma Hunters”, a recap of what’s happened to us this week, and all the information we have, so far, illustrating the coordination of multiple Leftist sites like The Daily Kos and DemocraticUnderground on “Puma Hunting” expeditions, with very likely direction from the DNC and other Obama-controlled organizations themselves.  With your help, we believe we’ll ultimately be able to directly prove the Puma Hunters, as well as the trolls and Internet fabrications like “Ellie Light”, are getting their marching orders from some entity like David Axelrod’s consulting firm, which specialized in astroturfing and Internet campaigns.

Like a John Grisham novel, there are many twists and turns in all of this.  Little, average people are up against giant, powerful, ruthless machines.  It’s chilling to believe donors to the DNC are actually funding, in some way, attacks on Democrats themselves, just because those Democrats don’t fall lock-step into the new Liberal-Socialist Democrat party.  We believe there’s a real story behind this “PUMA hunting” that, if properly investigated, could bring down a large part of the Alinsky machine.  If everyone who is being attacked devoted time and energy into identifying the attackers, and it emerges these attackers are all linked, it won’t take much investigative work to determine who’s ultimately coordinating all of this harassment, who is paying these attackers to destroy the lives of private citizens, and who in the White House knows and approves of what’s going on.

This is, clearly, much bigger than the personal attacks on us here in Chicago.

This is the way business is done in Obama’s “Golden Age of Hope and Change”.

Backstory:

Until the week before Christmas, we did not involve ourselves in the Massachusetts Senate race because Martha Coakley stood by Hillary Clinton in the primaries, despite immense pressure from the Kennedy Family, John Kerry, and Deval Patrick to back Obama instead.  We have no idea how much harassment Coakley received for her decision, but we imagine it had to be considerable.  We know what Obama’s goons do to regular people, so we shudder to think what they’d to do someone as high-profile as Coakley.  Though we didn’t want the current Liberal-Socialist Democrat party to maintain its super-majority in the Senate, we stayed out of the Massachusetts race in deference to Coakley’s Team Hillary resolve.

Things changed for us when news of Blanche Lincoln’s Louisiana Purchase and Ben Nelson’s shameless Cornhusker Kickback exposed the level of graft, corruption, secrecy, closed-door-deals, and undemocratic activity Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Obama were engaged in to ram the Healthcare Rationing Bill through the Senate, in the dead of night, on Christmas Eve.  This behavior horrified us.  The Democrats in power heard clearly from voters across the country that they did not want the Senate to rush through any bill with the economy-altering power of this Rationing measure, and yet, Democrats deliberately chose to vote on legislation most of them hadn’t even read, in the cover of darkness, in the middle of the night, while most Americans were distracted with holiday preparation.  They thought people wouldn’t notice what they were up to, but they were wrong.  We noticed, and we decided to do the only thing we could do at that moment in time:  back Scott Brown for the Senate in Massachusetts to send Democrats a message.  If they could lose “The Kennedy Seat” over their reckless and dangerous handling of healthcare reform, then not a single Democrat in office would be safe in 2010.

Looking at Scott Brown for the first time, we instantly liked what we saw — and we’re not just talking about his layout for Cosmo.  We believed Brown would actually read legislation before voting on it.  Even more refreshing than that, we knew Brown would think for himself and would not just do what Harry Reid told him to do — especially not with something that will raise taxes, decrease access to medical care, bankrupt many doctors and hospitals, and cut Medicare benefits to millions.  Coakley lost our support when she went back on her campaign promise to vote against the Rationing bill; once she won the primary, she decided she already won “The Kennedy Seat”, and her arrogance in treating voters like peasants (culminating in her aide, Michael Meaghan, actually pushing a reporter to the ground when he dared to ask her a question about her sudden willingness to do whatever Reid told her to do in the Senate) offended us.

To help Scott Brown, we thought of two things to benefit his campaign:

(1) Stir up our readers to volunteer for him

(2) Mitigate any attacks the Left would use against him based on his Cosmo photo spread

Since we’ve been attacked for two years now by the Left, and have watched other PUMAs attacked as well, we can fairly accurately anticipate a large portion of what these people will do to someone.  We knew they’d try to turn Brown’s decades-old photoshoot against him, so we decided to get in front of it by calling Brown “Hottie McAwesome”, and making his Cosmo spread a net-positive for our readers, and all who’d use search engines to find those photos once Democrats got around to attempting to use them against him.  Well, idiots, those photos are great.  In fact, they’re awesome.  Scott Brown is awesome.  He’s also, still, at his age, hot.  So, “Hottie McAwesome” caught on as a Brown nickname, and started appearing on signs in photos all around Massachusetts.

In the last days of the campaign, when Coakley tried to ridicule Brown for those Cosmo shots, it was Coakley who looked stupid, not Brown, because people had already seen Hottie McAwesome in all his glory…and they liked what they saw.

Almost immediately after beginning the “Hottie McAwesome” campaign here on HillBuzz, we received warning from Democrats here in Chicago that we “needed to stay out of the Massachusetts race”.  So much was riding on that special election, in terms of the Healthcare Rationing bill, that “too many people are watching this and they are going to come after you for helping Brown”.  The people warning us were good Democrats, big in the fundraising community, whom we know from Hillary Clinton’s primary campaign.  It’s very rare for them to ever chime in with anything to us, but whenever they think we’re on to some story the DNC does not want us talking about, they’ll caution us that “talking about this will cost you work, and draw more attention to you than you want”, and advise us to drop the topic.  Since all of us work as freelancers, in the private events, grant writing, and nonprofit world, in a city controlled by Liberals, trust us when we say we do not take warnings like this lightly.  We’ve struggled for two years now since Obama supporters started blackballing us around Chicago for not backing “The One”.  We’ve lost work whenever Obama’s goons harassed our employers for having us on the payroll, and we found ourselves axed because of that.  ”I just can’t be associated with you, because you’re on a Banned list, and I don’t want them coming after me, too”, is something we’ve heard a lot of since the day we launched this site in February 2008 to combat everything immoral and undemocratic the Obama campaign was doing to both Hillary Clinton and her supporters.

On January 9th, we ran a “Who’s Mad At Us Today Report”, addressing these warnings, and noting that, after serious consideration on our part, we were going to continue to support Scott Brown because we felt (and still feel, clearly) Democrats had abused their super-majority in the Senate and that the people of Massachusetts needed to take back “The Kennedy Seat” from the DNC to “teach Democrats a lesson” (borrowing a favorite meme of conservatives we hear time and again towards the GOP).  Naively, we thought there wasn’t much less the Left could do to us, really.  Our freelancing careers are pretty much over in Chicago, save for gigs we still get from fellow PUMAs who won’t abandon us. We have no delusions of ever again being able to land contract jobs working for the City of Chicago, especially not after we opposed the Olympics scheme and helped rally people for Rio.  We’re aware that in a Liberal-controlled city there are severe financial and professional consequences for exercising free speech and dipping our toes in political activism.

But, the fate of the country meant more to us than anything the Left would throw at us in punishment.  We decided to continue supporting Brown, despite multiple warnings that a maelstrom was being prepped for us at the DNC, because we felt this race was too important to allow the Massachusetts machine to win.

Scott Brown was elected to the United States Senate on January 19th, 2010 — to rapturous cheers here at Buzzquarters in Chicago, and around the country.

On January 20th, the Left decided to escalate their usual attacks on us, this time personally outing one of us, calling him a racist, and advocating for the destruction of his personal and professional life.

It seems they were so upset Brown won “The Kennedy Seat” that they moved quickly to punish anyone they felt had in any way contributed to that stunning win:  and we became a target.

Since beginning this site two years ago, we’ve maintained it anonymously as “The HillBuzz Boys” here in Boystown for several reasons that should be obvious to you:

(1) We like having jobs and want to be able to eat dinner once in a while.

(2) Politics is our hobby, not our profession.  In Chicago, particularly, a hobby like this will cost you employment, guaranteed, so why do that to ourselves?

(3) We enjoy having personal lives.  Being gay, but refusing to toe the line, in a Liberal-controlled city means immediate pariah status for any of us who dare to publicly call the Left out on anything.

(4) We never intended to make politics our lives.  HillBuzz itself exists by pure accident.  It was started as a little blog to give Hillary supporters in Chicago a place to post articles and plot strategy during the worst days of the 2008 primary, when Obama was winning a string of February caucuses and Tim Russert, Keith Olbermann, Anderson Cooper, Chris Matthews, and the rest of Obama’s media cheering brigade kept berating Hillary Clinton to “just quit already” and her supporters to “shut up and fall in line”.  Once Clinton suspended her campaign, we kept this site running to fight the PUMA fight…and to work with Republicans for the first time in our lives to defeat Obama, since we knew what he would do as president.  Hint: it’s exactly what he’s done this past year.  We pegged Sarah Palin early on as McCain’s VP pick, and have liked her for years, ever since we heard about her battle with the corrupt idiots in Alaska like Ted Stevens. So, of course, it was natural for us to back Palin whole-heartedly in everything she did, and continues to do, to this day.

We’re surprised as anyone at the evolution we’ve made, starting out on this site as lifelong partisan Democrats, finding ourselves relentlessly attacked by our own party, losing our livelihoods because of an election decided years ago at this point, and being villainized at every turn by a well-organized Leftist machine that’s aimed at anyone who opposes the socialist takeover of this country.

Sometimes, it feels less like something John Grisham would have written and more like a Stephen King paperback.

Specifics of the January 20th “Racist” Attack:

As noted in the Backstory above, the recent volley of attacks on us started on January 20th, 2010 at a site called “TheBigotBasher.wordpress.com”.  This site appears to be run by someone named Sean S. living in Birmingham, England, who is listed in various records as a “consultant” of some stripe.  BigotBasher made an entry on January 20th entitled: “Scott Brown and a hate site — The making of a Republican Campaign”.  In that post, BigotBasher uses one of our real names, randomly runs a photo of one of us with Michael Steele from an event here in Chicago (when he could have just as easily used a photo with one of us and Whitney Houston or Lady Gaga, as we’ve met them as many times as Michael Steele), and flat-out calls not only this site, HillBuzz, “a hate site”, but calls one of us, personally, a racist.  That is the very definition of libel.

Despite numerous notices for TheBigotBasher to remove the libelous racist accusation, Sean S. has refused to comply, in clear violation of WordPress terms of service (TOS).  To date, for whatever reason, WordPress has refused to take action against Sean S. and remove all posts using our names, likeness, and the defamatory racist slurs.  If you know a way to contact WordPress directly, we’d appreciate your help in getting TheBigotBasher scrubbed, since this is the originator of all attacks against us this week.

What follows is where things get really interesting, in the Grisham sense, because it’s clear to us the Left coordinated this attack upon on.  ”TheBigotBasher” is an obscure blog that gets almost no traffic.  According to Alexa.com, it’s ranked 9,459,458 in the US and is so little-read that it doesn’t even turn up in the global Internet rankings.  By contrast, our site, HillBuzz, is currently ranked 14,852 in the US and 95,972 in global rankings.

On any random day, something we write has a fair to good chance of being picked up in the mainstream, because we have a lot more eyes focused on us daily.  We find it impossible to believe people read “TheBigotBasher” waiting for scoop to drop on anyone, so that a link to libelous content on BigotBasher can be spread lightning speed across the Leftist blogosphere, destroying someone’s name and reputation across the Internet forever.

Almost IMMEDIATELY after BigotBasher launched his attack on us, that post was picked up by The Daily Kos and DemocraticUnderground.  A host of other Leftist, Obama-supporting sites followed suit, repeating TheBigotBasher story as fact.

It is now impossible for us to ever remove all of this libel from Google searches.  We intend to sue as many people involved in this attack as possible, and will devote YEARS to go after anyone running that racist charge against us, but the Left scored a victory here because we are now required to devote part of our day to fighting this battle instead of continuing what we do here every day, which is to look at the political world from our moderate Democrat perspective and call the current DNC and White House out for their radical socialist ties.

The end game in all of this for the Left appears to be to shut us down, make us shut up, and scare us into submission. They have personally destroyed one of us here. They’ve made him unemployable in Chicago.  We have no idea how we are going to help him recover from this, but after this attack by the Left, his life as he knew it is done.

And, yes, in addition to the financial problems this causes, it has a personal impact, too.  Do you know what happens when you’re dating someone and that guy decides to Google you one day, just for fun, and stories accusing him of being a racist turn up on Daily Kos, Democratic Underground, and other places? That person breaks up with you, if you didn’t already guess that, because he wants no part of being with a guy who’s getting attacked like this — for fear these people will come after him next because he’s associated with you.  At this point, after suffering through the maelstrom for two years, we just have to take lumps like that as being par for this course.  Our support for McCain/Palin in 2008, and our continued support for Governor Palin, makes us damn-near undateble in the LGBTQ community, since in Boystown, the only voting ever done is blind Democrat Liberal voting.  The fact we have many Republican friends now makes us pariahs.  But, throw in attacks like what Daily Kos, DemocraticUnderground, and BigotBasher have done, and the quality of our lives is further diminished. We’re truly being prevented from enjoying our lives to the fullest, being kept from employment opportunities, and being alienated in our community because of the attacks launched against us on a personal level by the Left — all because we dare to discuss politics and use our little niche here on the ‘Net to fight for the country we love as best as we know how.

The Left, through BigotBasher, made its attacks on us personal…and we tell you all of the above to stress what a personal impact this has.  Just imagine if this sort of thing was done to you.  What would your friends and family think when they Googled you?  What would prospective employers think?  Do you think you’d get the job you were applying for if a company thought they could be on the receiving end of harassment from the Left, too, if you were collecting a paycheck there?

Now, we’ve been aware of attacks like this on other people — on the personal level — launched by the Left before.

The Left called Bill and Hillary Clinton racists in 2008.

The Left called Geraldine Ferraro a racist.

The Left called Lynn Forester de Rothschild a racist.

The Left called John McCain and Sarah Palin racists.

If you do not fall to your knees and worship at the merest thought of Obama, “The Lightbringer”, you are called a racist.

This is the Left’s favorite weapon.  They use it a thousand times every day.

But, for some reason, few people ever stand up to the charge.  Few people ever seem to go after the people who make these sorts of claims, and who ruin people’s lives in anonymity.  Why is it allowable for someone like BigotBasher to post someone’s real name, use a real photo, and make false charges of racism designed to ruin a person’s life…when BigotBasher remains anonymous?  Why does WordPress allow BigotBasher a platform to launch an attack like this?

Why are Daily Kos and DemocraticUnderground so quick to broadcast libelous accusations against private citizens with impunity?

How are all of these sites being coordinated, so that something posted on an obscure blog like BigotBasher on January 20th can be reposted and distributed to millions of people by close of business that same day?

Who are the people behind attacks like this?

Who is coordinating them?

Who at the DNC knows what’s going on, and are those people writing these scripts and using people like BigotBasher to punish those who don’t heed warnings and fall into line the way the DNC and Obama White House wish?

If Obama and everything he is doing to this country are so wonderful, then why do his supporters and followers employ tactics like this to attack those who don’t embrace him?

That’s the most important question of all, really, because it’s so counterintuitive.  If this really was the Lightbringer.  If this really was a new messiah.  If Obama had any idea what he was doing and if he was really good for this country, then thuggery would not be needed to silence his critics and prop this empty suit up.  If Liberals really were right, and if they really did know what was best for this country, then no bullying would be required to make anyone “fall into line”.

Wouldn’t we all be gladly drinking the Kool-Aid and riding on our unicorns if the Hope and Change Gang was right?

What We’ve Learned So Far About How Puma Hunters Are All Connected:

(to be updated later today, as we are still sorting through all the clues you have collectively uncovered, tying BigotBasher to other sites such as Rumproast.com, Daily Kos, DemocraticUnderground, Snarkopolitan, Bettycracker, and posters calling themselves Sean S., “Wonk Hussein”, “Kevin K.”, JohnD, and other aliases, which appear to be the same three people who have been coordinating hits on PUMAs since the PUMA movement began in the summer of 2008).

If you have any information about attacks against other PUMA sites by these people, and other instances where they’ve libeled private citizens as racists, outed their real identities, and coordinated efforts to make them unemployable through libel and slander, please let us know.

It appears there could be a RICO case against everyone in the Left coordinating this.  The crux of it is “tortious interference of contracts”, as well as libel charges.  Essentially, whoever is running these attacks for Obama on private citizens is costing PUMAs employment, as well as inflicting permanent personal damage to them.  Thus, those people should be held responsible for lost wages and the enormous monetary costs of hiring PR experts and Internet gurus to work for the next several years at removing every instance of the Left calling these private citizens racists.

If someone has to mount efforts like this to take back their good name, then the people who launched these attacks — and the people who instructed them to do so — need to be held accountable for it.

Who is Ellie Light?

I predict you’ll start seeing the question as a popular bumper sticker soon (a la “Who is John Galt?”…and voila, someone has already made a t-shirt!).

It’s a handy rhetorical rejoinder the next time the White House or your nutroots neighbors and co-workers try to tar the Tea Party or any other grass-roots revolts against President Obama as phony, top-down operations.

When Obama’s Soros-funded, Big Labor-directed, K Street-organized goons engage in classic projection and you need a glib way to call out the pot calling the kettle black, just snap back:

Who is Ellie Light?

A Cleveland Plain Dealer blog first broke the story over the weekend of a “suspicious” letter-writer named “Ellie Light” who submitted more than a dozen pro-Obama letters to the editors in recent weeks using addresses from Philadelphia to California and all points in between. Open-source-optimizing blogger Patterico has added much more information on both “Donald Trump Astroturfing” (”a letter published in multiple places from one person claiming to live in multiple cities”) and “David Axelrod Astroturfing” (”identical letters published in multiple places claiming to be from different people”).

Kudos to the Plain Dealer for smoking out the initial ringer and Patterico and his readers/tipsters for delving deeper. But so much for the rest of the vaunted gate-keepers of the Fourth Estate, eh?

The bogus letters are just the latest example of Obama theater — doctors in costumes, town hall stage props, trumped-up Obamacare anecdotes, kiddie proxies, etc., etc., etc.

Underscoring this administration’s dependence on centrally planned, teleprompter-dependent perpetual campaigns of manufactured support, the other half of Obama’s Astroturf Twin Power — David Plouffe — will soon rejoin Chicago cronies David Axelrod, Valerie Jarrett, and the rest to rescue the Democrats in a new expanded role as outside White House adviser.

A reminder from my August 21, 2009 column on Corporate Shills for Hope and Change:

Money from pharmaceutical firms and health care companies is dirty, evil, and corrupting – except when key members of Team Obama are pocketing it. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs derides grass-roots opponents of socialized health care as industry-funded lackeys with questionable motives and conflicts of interest. But what about the corporate shills at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?

Two weeks ago, the White House embraced $150 million in drug industry ads supporting Obamacare. This week, Bloomberg News reported that White House senior adviser and chief campaign strategist David Axelrod’s former public relations firm, AKPD Message and Media, has raked in some $24 million in ad contracts supporting Obamacare – along with another p.r. firm, GMMB, run by other Obama strategists.

The ads are funded by Big Pharma, the AARP, AMA, and the powerhouse Services Employees International Union (whose Purple Shirts dumped $80 million in independent expenditures to get Obama and the Democrat majority elected). In trademark Axelrod-ian style, the special interest coalition adopted faux grass-roots names – first under the banner of “Healthy Economy Now” and more recently as “Americans for Stable Quality Care.”

Because, well, “Corporate Shills for Hope and Change” doesn’t have quite the same ring of authenticity.

Astroturf master Axelrod was president and sole shareholder of AKPD from 1985 until last December, when he resigned to take his White House position. His son, Michael, works there. So does former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe. Axelrod is prominently featured on AKPD’s website, from a founder’s quote on the front page (“CHANGE IS SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO FIGHT FOR”) to the glamorous election night photos of Plouffe and Axelrod with the Obamas. AKPD still consults with Axelrod on “strategy and research” for the Democratic National Committee. The firm owes Axelrod $2 million, due in annual installments of $350,000, $650,000, $400,000 and $600,000.

That Axelrod and his old firm benefit mutually from their respective roles selling Obamacare should be gobsmackingly obvious. Axelrod pushes the White House plan on TV news shows. AKPD derives mega-income from ad contracts selling the White House-endorsed plan. The windfall allows AKPD to settle its debts with Axelrod, whose name, face, and high-powered ties are critical to future wheel-greasing for AKPD — and future salary-earning for Axelrod’s son and close associates.

The ‘Turf Gang: Gibbs, Plouffe, Obama, and Axelrod

Plouffe authored an op-ed for the Washington Post over the weekend crusading to save the Demcare government takeover. His Washington Post byline does not mention his position at AKPD and does not disclose his financial conflicts of interests in promoting Demcare while serving as senior adviser to AKPD, which raked in an estimated $24 million in drug industry ads supporting Demcare along with Obama-tied p.r. firm GMMB.

Another MSM failure to keep readers fully informed:

David Plouffe, campaign manager of Obama for America and Obama-Biden 2008, is the author of “Audacity to Win.”

On a related note, check out this recent Craigslist advertisement in the Astroturf gang’s hometown of Chicago soliciting paid canvassers for a Democratic National Committee-tied entity:

Background on Grassroots Campaign Inc. :

Grassroots Campaigns (GCI) is an independent organization that does strategic consulting, fundraising, and field organizing for good causes and candidates. We specialize in building and running face-to-face outreach operations in neighborhoods and in high-traffic public venues to build support for groups, issues, and campaigns.

GCI was founded in December of 2003, and by April of 2004 had opened offices in 40 cities throughout the country. By July 2004, we had over 2,000 staff knocking on doors and talking to voters on behalf of the Democratic National Committee. With continued work on behalf of MoveOn PAC in October, we added a volunteer force of 50,000 individuals canvassing their neighborhoods in 17 of the most hotly contested swing states of the 2004 Presidential Election. Since 2004, we’ve continued to partner with groups and campaigns to advance good issues, raise money for progressive causes, help take back Congress, and build activism at the grassroots level.

The people at GCI are seasoned organizing and fundraising professionals with a commitment to positive reforms. Our staff has over 150 years of professional experience. They have:
• Designed and implemented electoral, initiative, legislative, corporate, small donor fundraising, and petition gathering campaigns;
• Put together organization membership drives and raised over $500 million;
• Ran conferences of a couple hundred to a couple thousand college students;
• Trained thousands of professional organizers and campaign staff;
• Worked with scores of different groups on the national, regional, state, Congressional, local, and campus levels;
• Recruited and trained hundreds of thousands of volunteers;
• Helped launch or run over a dozen different organizations;
• Sat on the boards of directors for many groups and campaign steering committees.

Via Slate from 2004, GCI’s “for-profit canvassing” is seen as the “DNC’s secret weapon:”

Voters this fall in Democratic strongholds are witnessing an increasingly common sight. Staked out on busy sidewalks in at least 38 American cities, political activists carrying credit-card authorization forms are drumming up donations for the campaign to defeat George W. Bush. Outfitted in T-shirts emblazoned with star-spangled Democratic National Committee logos, these earnest young men and women come across as grass-roots volunteers of the most enthusiastic sort. Little old ladies interrupt their strolls to thank them for their hard work.

But appearances can be deceiving. The organization behind these fund-raisers is Grassroots Campaigns Inc., a for-profit company that counts the Democratic National Committee as one of its flagship clients. It’s a safe bet that few pedestrians talked into donating $149—”the price of a bus ticket from Washington, D.C., to Crawford, Texas”—realize that once these canvassers beat their daily quota, they keep up to 30 percent of the take.

In the rapidly shifting terrain of political fund raising, Grassroots Campaigns Inc. has emerged as a juggernaut.

“Appearances can be deceiving.”

Pretty much sums up the last year of the Obama White House — and the year to come with Axelrod, Plouffe, Gibbs, Jarrett & Co. working hard with their ringers and stagehands to put message over matter.

Who is Ellie Light?

***

Reader Bill e-mails about the Craigslist/DNC paid canvassing ad…

The ad offers a salary of $24k per year and says that the hours would be 80-100 per week.

Assuming 80 hours (the lower end)

$24,000/ 50 weeks (assuming 2 weeks paid vacation) = $480 per week
$480 / 80 hrs. = $6 per hour
Federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour.

I wonder if these community organizers will be advocating for an increase in that?

Obama In Free Fall. “On every issue — more bailouts, more stimuli, more deficits, higher taxes, statist health care, cap and trade, diplomatic apologetics, the shunning of natural gas, oil, and nuclear in favor of ‘millions of green jobs’ subsidized by billions in federal ’stimulus’ — the Obama position polls 5-15 points below 50 percent. . . . Obama showed the country his vision of where he wanted us to go; he had both houses of Congress, a toady media, and enormous personal popularity — and he is getting nowhere. Why? Because most Americans are vehemently opposed to taking their country in the direction that Obama, Pelosi, and Reid would prefer. . . . Since Obama is both inexperienced and apparently a stubborn ideologue, I think all we will be left with when the novelty wears off is rhetoric and euphemism.”

We Don’t Need To Misrepresent Obama

January 25th, 2010

Several ‘bloggers’ are mocking Mr. Obama for using a teleprompter at a visit to an elementary school back on January 19th, off this photo from the Associated Press:

President Barack Obama, accompanied by Education Secretary Arne Duncan, speaks to the media after a discussion with 6th grade students at Graham Road Elementary School in Falls Church, Va., Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010.

But the AP caption appears to be accurate.

Here is Mr. Obama talking to the school kids:

How to Make the Republican Party a Big Tent: Fiscal Conservatism is the Answer

Freeman Hunt has a post that is spot on accurate:

You want a big tent? It's fiscal conservatism. The people are overwhelmingly in favor of it.

You offer that, you follow through on it, and you get the Republicans, the moderates, and a sizable chunk of disaffected Democrats.

Everything else is beside the point right now. You lose the fiscal conservative fight now and allow the United States to head deeper into Statism, and it's over. If the government controls healthcare, it will "[redefine] the relationship between the citizen and the state in a way that hands all the advantages to statists." You can kiss freedom goodbye in the longterm.

So instead of utterly failing our future generations, leaving them to toil under the yoke of an obscenely powerful government, we should make our stand now. Embrace fiscal conservatism. Leave the rest to federalism.

This Freeman Hunt person is right. The American people know that their freedom and liberty are directly tied to how the government spends their tax dollars. If the government is geared toward big government social programs, then not only will the American people be taxed to the point that they won't have much money to enjoy their lives, but their actions will be heavily controlled by the statist government. I believe this goes to the heart of why Scott Brown won last Tuesday.

Muzzammil Hassan was a community leader and a so called “moderate” Muslim. He was the founder and Chief Executive of Bridges TV a show started to help combat the negative perceptions of Islam and also to build bridges to the non-Muslim world.

Then last year Muzzammil beheaded his wife.

Guess he wasn’t so moderate, huh?

Muzzammil Hassan and his wife Aasiya Z. Hassan. (WIVB)

Now Mussammil claims he was the victim of spousal abuse. He was even embarrassed in public. It was so bad that after she filed for divorce he lopped her head off.
WIVB has a video report:

The Buffalo News reported:

The cable TV executive accused of beheading his wife in Orchard Park last year now claims he was the one humiliated and abused.

Through his new lawyer, Muzzammil S. “Mo” Hassan claimed Friday that he was a “battered spouse” who was left emotionally out of control by the constant abuse his wife inflicted on him.

Hassan’s lawyer, Frank M. Bogulski, called the legal defense the first of its kind in the country.

“The spouse was the dominant figure in this relationship,” Bogulski told a reporter afterward. “He was the victim. She was verbally abusive. She had humiliated him.”

The allegations prompted an immediate rebuke from the prosecution.

“He chopped her head off,” District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III said of Hassan. “He chopped her head off. That’s all I have to say about Mr. Hassan’s apparent defense that he was a battered spouse.”

Hassan, 45, is charged with second-degree murder in the Feb. 12 beheading of his wife, Aasiya Zubair Hassan, 37. The Pakistani-born couple were best known for Bridges TV, the station they formed in 2004 to counter negative Muslim stereotypes.

The Democrats’ Five Stages of Grief Over Health Care.

THE TRUTH BEHIND THE TEA PARTIES.  "

As much as liberals have tried to write it off as an artificial movement -- "Astro-turf," they have said -- you just can't fake a Republican victory in Massachusetts. The Tea Party Movement, named after the now-famous rant offered up by CNBC's Rick Santelli, is the real thing when it comes to political movements. It was born spontaneously...

Once again, stuff to ponder from The Boys ar HillBuzz:

We have a theory on this that we’ll flesh out later, but for now we’d like your own thoughts on this: why are Democrats suddenly talking about Dr. Utopia’s birth certificate?

In short, we believe Liberals are trying to drive a wedge between the Tea Party Activists and the GOP by using the MSM to paint Tea Partiers as “birthers” — namely, people who do not believe Dr. Utopia was born in the US (there are two camps of birthers: Kenya Birthers and Canada Birthers).

The reason Dr. Utopia refuses, to this day, to release his original birth certificate, issued and given to his mother in 1961 when he was born, is clear to us: on his birth certificate, his father’s race is listed as Arab, and his father’s religion is listed as Muslim. His mother’s race is White and her religion is most likely Atheist (but could have been a default to whatever her parents were, since at 18, we don’t know if Stanley Dunham was an atheist yet or not).

The Utopia campaign was genius in using the MSM to cloud the real reason he’s keeping his birth certificate secret.

We believe Axelrod and company have been behind spreading the “birther” rumors, to distract from the real reason that document is kept hidden (namely, that it lists Obama’s father as an Arab Muslim). The Utopia campaign believes Americans will see Dr. Utopia as a liar if this truth came out…so, they preemptively mitigate that risk by painting anyone who talks about the birth certificate as a lunatic.

In 1961, there’s no other way Utopia’s father would have been listed on an official state document. We’ve seen birth certificates from that era in Hawaii. The father and mother’s race and religion are recorded. The modern, computer printouts of these forms delete that information, for whatever reason. But, the actual, physical, completed by the hospital and issued before the baby is released form Stanley Dunham got has Utopia recorded as the son of an Arab Muslim.

You can discuss amongst yourselves why Utopia has devoted so much effort to hiding this fact. It’s nothing you wouldn’t know about his father if you read the two books William Ayers ghost-wrote for him. But, it has always felt that Utopia’s handlers believe that birth certificate coming to light, being distributed, and being seen by millions would doom him in some way.

To us, it’s proof that he lies about almost everything. Dating back all the way to the day he was born.

In recent days, papers that have never talked about the birth certificate before have started talking about it…at the same time Democrats are doing their level best to attack the Tea Party Movement, and many think drive a wedge between them and Republicans in general.

The Tea Partiers put Scott Brown over the top in Massachusetts. They will be a powerful force in the 2010 elections. Democrats are scare out of their minds. And when Liberals get scared, they lash out and attack.

What do you think is going on?

A guy with a bald spot that big does not sell so many tee shirts

The media’s very careful in how they photograph Dr. Utopia.

He’s never snapped from behind, and he’s rarely ever seen in right profile.

We always wondered what was being hidden in the behind shots — and now that’s clear, it’s his giant bald spot.

The embargo on shots of him in right profile are to hide the bizarre scar he has running from the back of his head on the right side all the way up to his crown. This appears to be from either a massive head injury or a brain operation years ago:

What is that scar from?

Maybe whatever caused the scar is the reason this man needs a TelePrompTer to address a bunch of sixth graders:

Can you imagine how much George W. Bush would have been lampooned had he done this?

MORE ON HAITI from The Anchoress.

Newspaper Editors Begin To Address Pro-Obama Astroturfing.

Granted, it’s “just” a letter to the editor. Maybe it’s nothing to you. But it’s allotted space given to someone to try to persuade. Large political organizations motivate people to do this because it works. And it works with the element of deception.

It’s a small deception, to be sure. Venial, not mortal. But deception nonetheless.

Profiles In Kossack Courage: "Ellie Light" Didn't Want to Expose His Real Name to World for Fear of Rightwing Reprisals, So He Instead Offered Up His Wife's Name

—Ace

Dude.

Dude.

The nutshell version: The Cleveland Plain-Dealer spoke to “Ellie Light” on the phone this morning and got her to admit — in a “husky voice” — that her name’s really Barbara Brooks, she’s a nurse, and that she wrote the letters on her own initiative. She gave them some personal information to verify her existence and it checked out. Later today, another woman — not husky-voiced — called the Plain-Dealer and said that she’s Barbara Brooks and that it’s actually her husband, a Kossack named Winston Steward, who’s responsible for the Ellie letters and has now taken to posing as her because he’s afraid the “right-wing crazies” will get him. (Question: If you think you’re in danger, why would you expose your wife to that danger by posing as her?)

He posed as a woman, too.

Shocker.

Lots and lots to read today, but I’ll break it down for you, one section for religion, one for politics. Pols first – got this from Insty:

You can read the lyrics here.

SOTU Address: Obama “needs to come off as authentic”.

Come off? Perhaps this illustrates a big difference between Presidents Obama and Bush. Bush did not have to “come off” as authentic. He was authentic.

Beltway Democrats (and to be fair, too many Beltway Republicans)
do not understand it because they -as smart, sophisticated sorts- live in a world of social and professional illusion, and they think the rest of the country does too, or it SHOULD. They think illusion is enough for them, so it should be enough to satisfy everyone else. They don’t know from authentic. To them authentic is too corny; it can only be dealt with ironically, or cynically, if at all.

Bob Herbert has some good advice for Obama

The Ellie Light Astroturf Saga:
Patterico has been all over it and notes that the press is finally picking it up. Mudville Gazette goes heavy on the sarcasm in this post. Michelle Malkin is watching the apologies. There is one, so far. Light’s letters (or the pearls of other astroturfers) are all over the place, like a virus.

She affirms she is passionate about the president. And astroturfing for him is different than when anyone does it for anyone else. It just is.

Global Warming Hoohah: Too big to fail, but on the ropes, nevertheless. The science, it seems, is not settled, after all. Pew poll says America is not buying the hysteria anymore. The good news is, that ozone hole prevents global warming. I actually remember reading that years ago. The Big Global Warming Bus has hit a few bumps and wheels are coming off in all directions.

Obama’s Halliburton? No-Bid Contracts to connections are morally reprehensible, and stuff, right? A good time, I guess to remind everyone that the Dems spent the last 8 years shouting “Halliburton! Halliburton!” without, I suspect, even understanding what they were saying. As I wrote, way back when I said we should impeach Bush:

Please name the work for which Halliburton was contracted and then expound on what other companies do the same work with the same level of expertise and experience as Halliburton. We’ll wait. This is Impeachment we’re talking about…this is all going to have to come under real investigation and involve real testimony, and good lawyers never ask questions to which they do not already know the answers – so you should know that 94.7% of all of Halliburton’s contract funds came through “full and open competitive bids”, shouldn’t you?

Oh, wait. I guess this is another Obama line with an expiration date; when he said the magic word, “Halliburton” the crowd responded to the cue. America went through the 2008 election like Pavlovian dogs responding to bells. Note the response to the patently false denunciation of “lobbyists,” too. Meaningless. Just words, it’s all just words, served up to an audience trained by the MSM to bark at the right times, and pull the correct lever. After all, the press is not interested in covering actual news stories; that all gets saved for the bestselling books.

Obama believes that most of the country, however is still going to fall for his every sleight of hand and misdirection. Some of them will buy into his spending freeze that isn’t really a spending freeze at all, of course. But overall, he seems not to understand that his magic is gone. It’s kaput. Nor does he seem cognizant of the fact that videos and the internets exist.

Seems Obama is doing quite a lot of reprehensible Bush-type things. When does Joy Behar start demanding that he be impeached? When does Michael Moore call him a war criminal? Oh, wait, we’re mirandizing terrorists after less than an hour’s questioning. Nothing to see here. Move along.

WSJ says Obama has committed the biggest mistake a pol can commit: he has believe his own hype. Yep. We’ve talked about that here, before. It is always a politician’s downfall.

Let’s try something else for this year: Let’s be in charge of our own brains.

Is Congress Exempting itself from Health Insurance Tax? Why not. It’s exempting itself from Obamacare! Congress is full of creeps and rats who treat themselves as though they are akin to royalty. Yes, indeed…economic freedom for the elites. For you and me? Salvation through serfdom.

I guess Moscow does support gay marriage?

Haiti: A desperate need for infrastructure, yes, and sound, committed long-term leadership. Also, don’t miss this thoughtful post.

Ah, and that last item brings us to our Religion section:

Lots of focus on the always-under-reported-unto-obscurity annual March for Life on Washington DC. The number of marchers varies from 200,000 to 400,000, but I think anytime you can get even 150,000 people to show up and march in the middle of winter, there is a story there, and it should be covered. Lots of bloggers finding hilarity in the woefully inaccurate and biased media coverage – or what there was of it.

Deacon Greg, whose father-in-law wonders if the march might be even better attended if it were held in the springtime, links to a terrific video profile of a 17 year old marcher who, as an adoptee, says she wants others to have the same chance at life that she has had, and cannot help but notice how many young people are marching.

It will be about the state of Barack Obama, Narcissist-in-Chief.

The Senatorial election of Scott Brown to what many liberals arrogantly call "Teddy Kennedy's seat" has sent a thrill going up the legs of many Democrats, and not the feel-good-Chris Matthews kind, either.

The American voter, who, just over a year ago, succumbed to Obama's bellowing rhetoric of "Hope and Change," has quickly realized what kind of damage one person's hubris, unchecked personal ambition, and lack of character can inflict on an entire nation...

GOP Stunned By Loss in Mississippi

The base is pissed off and demoralized. That is why southern Republican seats are being lost to conservative Democratic candidates. 2008 will be a disaster for the Republican party as you can not win elections without your base.

Why is the base so upset?

1) The base shocked the MSM by getting Bush reelected in 2004 despite huge turnout by the Dems for Kerry. With a Republican congress, Bush and Rove preceded to tell the base to kiss off through a variety of stupid moves (amnesty, huge deficits, Harriet Miers, etc.).

2) The RNC made it quite clear that the conservative base would just have to get over it and accept their wisdom in shifting the party to Democrat-Lite (they supported guys like Specter and abandoned conservative candidates).

3) Even after the 2006 slaughter of the Repubilican congress, the idiots running the party continued business as usual by once more pushing for amnesty and spending like there was no tomorrow.

4) The 2006 secure border fence act was immediately ignored by Bush and company the second the election was over (treating the base as if they were stupid children that could not connect the dots). It was finally gutted in the midnight hour by Republican Hutchinson in 2007.

5) The free market globalist pro-business faction of the Republican party is completely clueless to the economic difficulties of the average American. Industrial outsourcing, labor exploitation insourcing, and bailouts for billionaire investors and bankers who should go to jail for there stupidity and greed, has further convinced the base that the leadership is out of touch. For example, defending credit card companies who act like ruthless loan sharks does not win you elections in difficult economic times (recent Republican congressman did this on Lou Dobbs last week).

6) Even when the base shut down the money to the party, the leadership still kept chanting their mantras as if nothing had changed. These guys are completely clueless and will be shocked when they are wiped out in 2008. It may make 2006 look tame in comparison.

Unfortunately, it is way to late to save the party from this long coming comeuppance. They were put in charge of the country and failed their base so badly that the base will not lift a finger to save them.

Help-wanted ads are appearing on Craigslist that offer to pay citizens $24,000 a year, plus health insurance, to "counter the hysteria and lies of Glenn Beck and other talking heads" and "stop the tea-baggers!"

The ads are being posted by Grassroots Campaigns, a canvassing group that has performed services for the Democratic National Committee and MoveOn.org. Its postings can be found among Craiglist listings in Chicago, Ill.; San Francisco, Calif.; Boston, Mass.; Philadelphia, Penn. and Austin, Texas...

More-
From the HillBuzz Boyz:

We wanted to take another moment to thank all of you for your support as we continue to sleuth the identities of TheBigotBasher and those at Rumproast.com, Bettycracker, Stupidpumas, Daily Kos, DemocraticUnderground and other altars to Dr. Utopia who engaged in a coordinated personal hit job on us this week.

Clearly, this has been the center of our attention, as we try to expunge these attacks everywhere we can — so that our livelihood, future employment opportunties, personal relationships, emotional health, and other vital interests are not permanently adversely impacted by the libelous slurs made against us on the personal level by Obama supporters.

Welcome to Hope and Change, people.  They’ve done this to us, and they’ll probably do it to you at some point in the future, since calling innocent people RAAACISTS! is what they do.  They are one-trick goblins.  But, they are not going to get away with it this time.

As soon as we realized TheBigotBasher attacked us, we turned to our dear friend and big sis Cynthia Yockey, as she is one of the most informed and knowledgeable people we know.  We asked her what to do, and told her we were scared, because almost as soon as the attacks hit, we started losing freelance jobs we counted on for the next month.  “Don’t worry, this has happened to people before because this is what the Left does to those who don’t agree with them.  The Left just calls them racists and tries to ruin their lives.  But, if you are willing to put yourself out there and fight, then I’ll sound the alarm that we all need to stick together and fight back when attacks on people like you, Stacey McCain, Tammy Bruce, and others happen”.

Cynthia was such a good friend. We owe her so much.

She instantly put us in touch with others who have been attacked by the Left like this, with false accusations of racism posted at obscure Leftist Obama-worship sites and then distributed with ruthless efficiency by Daily Kos and DemocraticUnderground.

Behind the scenes this week, we’ve been pouring through countless articles on libel that have been sent to us, as well as learning everything we can about the activities of Rumproast, TheBigotBasher, Snarkopolitan, Daily Kos, StupidPumas, and DemocraticUnderground.  There are so many clues to tie together, and so many horrible things these people have collectively done to PUMAs, in particular, that we’ve been overwhelmed.

So, we appreciate all the help you have also given us in sorting out these clues and getting closer every day to establishing an airtight libel case against every Leftist who attacked us.  Every single person spreading that racist charge against us will be a co-defendent in the action that’s to come.  If you are reading this, and you posted our names or photos ANYWHERE, you best take that down immediately, or you’ll end up on the defendents list too.

Homos ain’t playing, folks.  We mean business.

Were grateful to everyone out there who has taken this opportunity to hit back against the Left in support of us.  Here are just a few of you that we’re so grateful to, with thanks to Cynthia for compiling this supporters’ list for us.

We swear, if ever the Left attacks any of these people, we’ll come to their aid in Justice League style lickety-split as well.  If we stick together, we will defeat the Left.  If we don’t support one another, the Left will destroy us all one by one.

  • Instapundit, aka Prof. Glenn Reynolds
  • Michelle Malkin, who knows what these attacks are like due to her courage as a pioneer in calling out racial grievance mongering: “You know you are getting to these Kossacks and Moveon.org-anisms when they start coming after you”
  • Prof. William Jacobson of Legal Insurrection, for making this a “Post of the Day”
  • Dear Little Miss Attila, Cynthia’s fairy blog mother and a staunch friend of Hill Buzz: “Go Help the Guys at Hill Buzz”
  • Sissy Willis of SISU — she and Prof. Jacobson were the first two bloggers who went to work using social media to support the candidacy of Scott Brown in Massachusetts — read this awesome post on using social media
  • Kathy Shaidle, another fearless opponent of the enslaving and bullying tactics of identity politics — who is paid by the amount of traffic she gets (hint, hint): “Hey, stop me if you’ve heard this one!”
  • Gay Patriot: “Stand with Hill Buzz”
  • Conservatives4Palin: “Stand up for Hill Buzz”
  • Shakey Pete’s Shootin’ Shack — blogroll and bookmark and subscribe to this blog, Cynthia REALLY recommends it: “A Friend is Attacked, Unfairly”
  • Dan Riehl of Riehl World View has an excellent post with a link to Stacy McCain: “Hill Buzz versus whomever.” Charges like this are tried periodically on Stacy. When it happened in September 2009, I was one of the first to stand up for Stacy, which is how I learned that we really can make tactics like these feel like spitting into the wind for the Left — soon they were whining about how many bloggers were vouching for him!
  • Life in 3D: “Smear Merchants”
  • Moose and Squirrel: “Driving the snakes out of Washington”
  • Irons in the Fire: “Just a Few Things to Note This Morning”
  • Death by a 1,000 Paper Cuts: “Hill Buzz threatened by Kos and Dummie Underground”
  • iChannel (a news aggregator)
  • And all the re-tweets on Topsy.com.

This is an unusual photoshop challenge — which also appeals to people out there who have great organizational and analytical skills.

For the past few days, you’ve helped us assemble clues as to who is attacking us on the Left.  This pertains to the January 20th, 2010 libelous claims made against one of us personally on the site TheBigotBasher.wordpress.com, which gave h/t (hat tips) to places like Rumproast.com and Stupidpumas.com, while Daily Kos and DemocraticUnderground spread these libelous attacks against us, and encouraged their readers to call us, on the individual and personal level, RAAACIST! in as many places as possible.

They outed one of our real names.  They used a real photo of one of us.  They called that person a racist, knowing full well his current and future employment would be impacted by this charge, and that his personal safety in a city like Chicago would be jeopardized...

Use the Links, dammit!

Speaking of which-- is Ellie Light related to the HillBuzz Boyz troubles?

Ellie Light Writes Jawa But Dodges Questions About Who "She" Is [UPDATE: Steward Fesses Up?]

UPDATE: Winston Steward now claims he's Ellie Light. He's a "healtchare worker". Who just happens to know how to fake IPs from all over the world. Right.

And he's married to the woman he first claimed was Ellie Light. He outed her, you see. The love of his life. His wife.

Who, it turns out, he isn't divorced from.

But he didn't want to expose himself for fear of violence from all you crazy right-wingers. Blaming her? No problem.

None of this makes any sense. I call shenanigans. We have not gotten to the bottom of this...Oh, Director Blue has a good summary :

Ace of Spades summarizes.

for two straight years Obama and his zealots have waged a massive propaganda war on the world to convince us all that Obama was inevitable and then, after having been elected, was massively popular. All of this was done to demoralize his opposition, and to delegitimze opposition as "fringe." And also to discourage his opposition from voicing that opposition in the first place, because if you're convinced that you're all alone in opposing Obama, you tend to shut up about it.

As Massachusetts aptly demonstrates, we're on to these disturbing tactics. And we've had enough.

...to put this into context. Why does it matter, you say? Because Astroturfing is right out of David Axelrod's playbook...

These guys are good- read HillBuzz:

They are right- except we need to toss All Of Them out, and try some more thieves:

Only part of this is because of the personal attacks the Left has made on us this week, but another large part of it is something we read over at www.Hillaryis44.com, regarding the need to eject every single Democrat from office in 2010.

It took us a long time to come to this point, but the Liberal-Socialist Democrat party needs to not only be defeated in 2010, it needs to g-damn be EVISCERATED.  Every last Democrat needs to be brought down, because we have had all that we are going to take with these nuts.

Saying this could very likely get us killed in a place like Chicago.  So be it.  The Left has already destroyed one of our ability’s to ever earn a living in this town again.  The DNC sanctions these kinds of attacks, if not directly orders them.  THAT is what the Democrat Party has become.  Breaking Godwin’s Law, we state the obvious and call this Liberal-Fascists what they are:  g-damn Nazis.

Oppose them in the slightest, and they will destroy you.

Speak out against them, and they will get you fired from your job and make you unemployable.

Stand up to them, and they’ll ruin your friendships, chase relationships away, and launch full-on war against you.

THAT is what Democrats are all about today.

In the 30+ years we’ve each been alive, the worst a Republican ever did to us was tell us, to our face, we were going to Hell because we like guys.  Some added, “I will pray for your illness” when they found out we were gay.  We’ve been through most of the states in the South.  We grew up in places like Cleveland, Pittsburgh, San Antonio, Rochester, and Milwaukee.  We’ve been lectured by Catholics, Protestants, Fundamentalists, and Jews of the Republican persuasion, and never once did these people ever do anything worse to us than saying, “Boys, you ain’t right”.

Democrats, however, have sought to destroy us, working page by page through the Alinsky Playbook.

We know people at the DNC monitor this site.

We know there are very important people who read us.  Trust us, that shocks us as much as it might shock some of you.  But we know this for a fact.

We are telling Democrats right now that you have destroyed the Democrat Party, perhaps forever.  If you alienated lifelong, dyed in the wool Dems like us, you people are toast.

These lunatics really and truly believe that attacking moderate Dems like us who do not agree with the current Administration is an actual, sound, policy move.  Great Merciful Zeus, this is coming directly from Donna Brazile we bet.  That woman is crazy.  During the 2008 primaries, we emailed back and forth with her a few times, and she is as rude and vile as can be.  This was the genius behind Gore’s failed 2000 campaign, and the woman who dreamed up Obama 2008.  She’s the one who repeatedly said the Democrats do not need moderates, the working class, the blue collar voters, or “average Americans”.

Democrats believe they can exist with just blacks, immigrants, jews, liberals, gays, and the urban elite.

Well, we’re gays who commit today to doing everything we can to bring Democrats down in 2010.

Part of it is because of what the DNC did to Hillary Clinton in 2008.  Part of it is because of the attacks launched on us this week.  But, mainly, it’s because Democrats are bad for this country.  The party has gone completely insane and is out of touch not only with voters, but with reality itself.

There are no longer any moderate Democrats to speak of.

This was proven by the votes on the Healthcare Rationing bill.  All 60 Dems in the Senate voted for a bill they did not read, did not understand, that they tried to ram through passage in the dead of night when no one was looking.

In our opinion, every last one of these people belongs in prison — for treason.  Since we can’t make that happen, we will focus instead on defeating as many of them as we can.

As we said yesterday, looking at our resources, and our time schedule, we can commit to driving an effort behind FIVE good Republicans who can defeat bad Democrats in 2010.

One of these races is Michelle Bachmann’s.  If you have any contacts with her, let her know a bunch of gay guys in Chicago want to go all-in for her.  We want to make her Speaker too.  We are willing to do whatever we can to make that happen.

For the other four races we want to get involved in, we want to pick four really good Republicans we believe in who will defeat Democrats that need to be made examples of.

One of those Dems is Barbara Boxer.  Whomever runs against her will have our undying daily support.

We want Harry Reid defeated, but that’s going to happen without us, so we are not going to put our effort there.  Part of us wants to take down Evan Bayh, just because we are so disappointed in the man for his behavior in the week before Christmas.  If ANY Democrat should have stood up and shouted down the madness of this Healthcare Rationing bill, it should have been Bayh.  This is a man we like very much, on a personal level.  This is a man we’ve had multiple conversations with.  This is a man we would have loved to have seen become Vice President under Hillary Clinton.

But, he betrayed this country.  All Democrats in the Senate did.  And now he disgusts us.

We’re torn on what to do about Bayh.  Indiana is so close, we could very easily get involved there.  But we admit we have lingering loyalty to Bayh for how steadfast he stood with Clinton two years ago.  So, he’s tabled for now.

That means two of our berths are now filled.  We will be supporting:

(1) Michelle Bachmann

(2) Whomever is the nominee against Boxer (we hope it is Chuck Devore)

And the other three slots are empty.

The qualifications to earn our support are:

(1) Candidate must love America

(2) Candidate must hate socialism

(3) Candidate must not have supported Cap & Tax, the Healthcare Rationing Bill, or Dr. Utopia in any way

(4) Candidate must embrace the Tea Party movement, which we are a part of

(5) Candidate must not be evil to gays

Republicans, stop talking about gays, period.  Across the board.  News flash: there will always be gays. No matter how much you try to convince us otherwise, Jake Gyllenhaal is hot, Madonna is cool, and a night at Sidetracks beats just about anything else on Earth.  Especially Showtunes night.  You can threaten us with fire, brimstone, and the fires of Hell all you want, but we’ll never, ever, not a day in our lives be attracted to women.  Nor will we ever wish we were.  We drink Pilsners.  We adore Lady Gaga.  Every drag queen in town knows our first names.  We like guys.

Deal with it.

Because we’re here.  We’re queer. And we are willing to put ourselves on the front line to take down the Liberals.  While Republicans are at their cocktail parties, we are manning phone banks and plotting strategy to take down the corrupt, lunatic, out of control DNC itself.

Reinforcements from the cocktail party, martini in hand, set would be appreciated.

The DNC should take another look at the Daily Kos and DemocraticUnderground to see if they are really getting their money’s worth — because instead of shutting us down, these goblin factories REVVED US UP MORE THAN WE HAVE EVER BEEN REVVED.

These fools took the battle to Boystown. They made things personal.  And in 2010, we are going to fight harder than we have ever fought for anything to bring these lunatic socialists down.

Who’s with us?

We’d like to issue a challenge to Liberals, one they failed to live up to in New Orleans:  rebuild Port-au-Prince as the Green Utopia you insist is possible.

Dispatch Brad Pitt and his architectural hobby to live in Haiti full time, post-divorce from Angelina, and rebuild the lost homes in sustainable, green glory.

We’re not being snarky with this — we really want to see Libs put their money and time where their Hollywood mouths are this time.

To be honest, we would MUCH rather see them invest the energy to rebuild New Orleans, improve Cleveland, and make places like Gary, Indiana and Detroit livable again, but for some reason they’ve never bothered to do that.

But, with all this attention on Haiti right now, we issue the same challenge we make to the International Olympics Committee whenever they are trying to decide which city will get the next games:  WHY NOT, FOR ONCE, DECIDE TO USE MONEY JUDICIOUSLY AND REBUILD A RUINED CITY TO WONDROUS SPLENDOR?

Now that Anthropogenic Global Warming has been debunked, why not focus on remaking Haiti as a wonderland of everything Liberals claim they love and believe in?

It’s put up or shut up time, Libs.

And if you don’t expend every effort to rebuild Port-au-Prince, we’ll know you didn’t do it because you are RAAACIST and didn’t want to help the black people suffering there, with all your Ivy League wisdom, your green technology, and your Whole Foods know-how.

Maureen Dowd is a crazy person.

Late at night, we imagine her sneaking into her neighbors’ crawl spaces, with a Ziplock bag full of tapioca pudding, a rusty flashlight, and an old double-cassette recorder in a strange attempt “to capture sleepers’ dreams”.  This is, after all, the woman who hears things…things that are never said…things like “You boy!” whenever people, accurately, call the current president A LIAR.

Damn liar, is more like it.

Nuts, is what Dowd is.

But, is she also a RAAACIST! for calling Dr. Utopia “One-Term Obama” in this latest rambling of hers?

Everyone else on Earth, apparently, is RAAACIST! to the Left, including us, so why isn’t Dowd RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACIST! too for saying the following about “The Lightbringer”?

* Obama is a disappointment

* Obama is a faux-populist

* Obama is plastic and hidden

Most bizarre of all, Dowd goes where almost no one in the MSM ever goes…and you would totally miss it if you weren’t reading close at the end.

She actually GOES THERE and alludes to the strange relationship Dr. Utopia, a married man, has with Reggie Love, his “6-foot-5 body man”. Dowd did this in a bit about Scott Brown playing basketball with his daughter Ayla.  Well, Obama has two daughters.  The elder of which is more than capable of playing basketball with him, just as Ayla is of playing with her dad.  Why did Dowd note Dr. Utopia would rather be spending time sweaty, in private, playing with Love instead?

Somewhere in the bowels of Man’s Country here in Chicago, we bet guys in towels having a steam are wondering what Dowd was hinting at.

Who are we kidding.  No one reads Maureen Dowd.  And no one in Man’s Country’s talking.

Reggie Love and Dr. Utopia aren’t playing basketball, either.  That’s for damn sure.
