Congratulations to Barack Obama. The American electorate has decided that you will be our next president. As I have stated, I will honor and support my president, but there will be no free ride. When President-Elect Obama takes office in January, his term of service to the American people begins. We wish our new president blessings of wisdom and good judgment, and we pray he hearkens to our voice if ever we feel our American Dream is being threatened. It will be a loud voice, so good luck trying to ignore it.
Since we have launched this website, tens of thousands of you have expressed your desire to join this movement. I am truly humbled by your support, your kind words of encouragement and your becoming a part of something that I believe we all feel can truly change the course of this country for the better.
For those of you just visiting this website, remember that real change in America will only begin if the backbone of this country becomes personally involved in demanding more from our elected officials, and by helping one another in times of need. This is our mission. This is our fight. This is our time to secure our American Dream.
Tell me you are not slamming Joe because his family was on welfare when he was a child? I'll make an additional confession...my father got laid off when I was a child. I think, once, my parents used something akin to food stamps to feed their three children. That's right! Hang me now!! Am I to be drummed of FR as a hypocrit?
I have never seen any Republican or conservative say that there should be no safety net, ever, for anyone. What we say is the assistance should be temporary and not a life-style. For both my parents and myself, our situations were temporary. My dad was going back to his regular, good job in a couple of weeks, and within months my baby stopped needing formula. Don't worry, we've paid you back thousand-fold for the assistance that we were given.
You are a liar.
The media chose to expose Joe while ignoring Obama's BS. For that, they should be scorned by all of us. If you are looking for someone the media cannot find some dirt on, you will never find anyone to support until they find another false messiah.
It is socialism when you say that raising taxes isn't about getting more revenue to the treasury, but to increase the fairness in society. Obama doesn't want to feed families with his tax increase, he wants to reduce the power of the middle-class and to fund his propaganda machine. He isn't trying to feed hungry children, he's trying to remake our society.
You are a tool if you believe anything else.
I agree with you completely....when one does not have a parent or relative to call in times of economic hardships, it is a great thing to have puble assistance to get you back on your feet again.
Exactly.
Obama scares me to death. He is more communist than socialist.
Siete pieno di esso. Chiuda la vostra bocca.
I guess you will be throwing your “economic stimulus” check away so you don’t buy anything for your children or feed yourself and you can continue saying this stuff........
Guess what ? your government just voted in favor of a 700 Billion dollar “bailout package”....you don’t see this as a form of “socialism” ? You are already there, and for some reason I dont think you are in the upper tax bracket to be worrying about having to pay taxes....just a hunch
Let's suppose that was your intention. In that case it was a very poor choice of words that didn't come across well at all. (I toned this down a lot.)
Our adversaries in this struggle are nothing like that... They are in fact SCUM OF THE EARTH.
Why don't you identify some specific individuals to clarify what you are talking about.
You don’t think Repubs did their background checks first? lol. Oh, yes. They did. It’s more than just routine.
The media chose to expose Joe while ignoring Obama’s BS.....
we have just had 2 years of media exploring these candidates....let’s see now, Obama went to Harvard, was the President of his class and chose to work for the poor people of Chicago, not some high priced job on Wall Street...learning just how poor people live and survive, he met many others who had their own reputations just like everyone else. He probably got a lot more than he bargained for, with the economy crashing under Bush’s control but his dedication to public service enabled him to withstand all this criticism and name calling and he had WON. He has conducted himself in a mature manner, and I feel will represent our country in a dignified manner and be one of our finest leaders because he doesn’t represent Hallibrand or Big Oil ...the winners in the Bush administration....Bush fooled me too as I voted twice for this disaster myself...live and learn
Vichy?
What an absolutely idiotic comment. Obama won. McCain lost. Get over it. The system worked. There were no tanks in the streets with their demand of power. A transistion is in place, and it is peaceful.
If you want to win next time. figure out what you need to do to make that happen, rather than sit in the corner and cry like a spoiled baby.
52% of the people of this country disagreed with you. What's your best argument for them to re-evaluate their beliefs "Obama is not my president"? Sorry, but that's not going to happen. NO ONE is going to change their mind on that.
I am most certainly in compliance with your thought process. :)
Norman Lear warned us about you.
He represents a collectivist mindset that wants to "save" the poor and oppressed through government largess born on the backs of the "rich". Collectivism that seeks to extract wealth from the few to give to the many will never have enough wealth to spread.
Barack is a neophyte who will quickly give in to the power of the radicals who were his early supporters. If he resists the radicals he will be viciously attacked and the media will not help fend them off. They want change and they will insist on getting it even if it doesnt poll well with the masses. Clinton was a slave to the polls but Barack is a slave to the radicals.
The economic crisis seems just a little too manufactured. Clintons economy was fed largely by the tech bubble that crashed in his last year in office. Bushs economy was fed by a housing bubble and loose credit that crashed just a few months ago. We will recover from this just as we recovered from other worst economies since the Great Depression. The last thing this country needs now is to return to the failed policies that made the Depression so long. I pray that Obama knows enough about the past not to repeat it but I fear the radicals behind him would welcome a greater crisis to achieve greater control.
He’ll just do what all those who went after him have done - start a 501(3)c.
