I fasted over the weekend and again on tuesday. I have the faith to know that God works in mysterious ways, and that I should wait for Him to move first. So, as agonizing as it is, I will accept this trial as a learning experience. It’s scary, though. Six years ago I did a Bible study on God’s judgment of Israel before the invasion of Nebuchadnezzar, and couldn’t imagine how the tribulation was going to happen. In 2 short years, everything fell into place. It’s all possible. A loaf of bread for a days wages, drought, quakes, major Christian persecution. Cheerio!
I’d be interested in a synopsis of your study if you cared to share it.
A year ago it looked almost impossible that the end could be so near but with the ascendancy of Obama to the throne anything is possible.
Hard times are a coming and those not prepared both morally and physically will most surely perish.
However, you strike me as someone who knows very well of the yearning for national repentance. Barack Obama, in the trials he may bring, could well be the tool that brings that about! God is stern sometimes. The Old Testament history books seem a constant cycle of Israel's prosperity -> sin -> tribulation -> repentence, and back to prosperity. He is free and sovereign. He is also exceedingly merciful, and ALWAYS good. It is Him we should fear, not Barack Obama, who is but a mortal "king".
"Though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me."
BTW read Psalm 2. It is incredibly prescient for our times!
