As the giddy minions gear-up for "President-elect" Obama's news conference today and the transition of power over the coming weeks, what is your view of the new "President-elect"?
Do you consider Obama "Your President"? Will you partake in past conventional acceptance and show respect for him holding such Office? or.. will you decide to not support him as President?
Personally, I do not consider him my "President". Obviously, this pains me because as an American I would want to feel great about supporting whomever is duly elected. But Obama was pushed through, in my opinion, not vetted - just shuffled through the process by the Liberal Press (lamestream media). He was NEVER challenged on the negatives of his associations and never even specifically took the time to answer questions on his Birth Certificate or to answer the Flag pin controversy or his 'hands at his waist' during the National Anthem. The largest issue of divide is his stance on abortion. Secondly is his liberal influence which terrifies me in how he might handle the placement of Judges on the Supreme Court and the many other, but still critical lower Courts. Thirdly is how he might dilute the Military and mishandle the War.
Who is this President-elect to you?
Is he "Your President"? If so...........why? And, if not..............why not?
Yes (after he takes office.)
I cannot simultaneouly defend and disrespect the rule of law.
Everytime the wife and I pass our local government run high school, I point to it and say see, that's where Obama is going to send you and I to get "re-educated".
My wife was driving the wrong way down a one way street. A cop pulled her over.
He said, didn’t you see the arrow?
No she said, I didn’t even see the indian!
Great response! I will borrow that from you.
I am sure though most freepers will give Obama more respect than the left gave President Bush.
Living up to his hype is going to be tough. He will have trouble from Dixiecrats and from the extreme left. I think he is in a tight spot.
These judges are ruling that anyone alleging a grievance against Obama and his qualifications doesn’t have standing. Excuse me, but when has it been the case where an American citizen doesn’t have the right to demand the Constitution be followed or to ask a fellow ‘citizen’ to prove his eligibility for the presidency?
He will be my President in January and I will show him the exact same respect that the Democrats showed President Bush over the last 8 years. No more, no less. It’s the least I can do.
I respect the office whether or not I respect the man in it.
“Why all these vanities? Why arent we posting news articles???”
you just said that. oh, wait, it was in another link.
The zero has yet to earn even his own side’s respect. He’s promised an awful awful lot to them.
The TRUE question should be “has or will the zero earn your respect and is the zero worthy of your vote” to those that voted for him.
He has a razor thin resume, bad associations, failed leftist ideology...
Give it a few months, but I already hear chants of ‘where’s my pie’ warming up in the background.
He’s got an enormous uphill road to convince me though.
I give my respect to the Office ... not necessarily the man who holds it.
My president will never be a marxist king.
He is the President - Elect of the country I live in, but as for him being “my” president, in that he holds the same values as I do, absolutely not. I will pray for him though.
I’m with you.
If i was considering joining the military i wouldn't at this time.
No, and if I come into contact with him (as if, but whatever) I will turn my back on him.
And you can flame me all you want. This man is a fraud and as far as I’m concerned, not a President.
Amen brother.
The repugnant, two faced, jug-eared, fetid puddle of effluent and marxist thug is unfortunately the president elect.
Does that answer your question?
Well said. Now that he is “the Man”. We can “speak truth to power” to use John Kerry’s stupid line.
As someone else said, I will show him 10% more respect than they showed to George Bush.
I will do my best to make his reign one term!
Yes! That is MY President, too.
