Is Obama "Your President"?
November 7, 2008 | No Red Tape

Posted on 11/07/2008 11:50:37 AM PST by NoRedTape

As the giddy minions gear-up for "President-elect" Obama's news conference today and the transition of power over the coming weeks, what is your view of the new "President-elect"?

Do you consider Obama "Your President"? Will you partake in past conventional acceptance and show respect for him holding such Office? or.. will you decide to not support him as President?

Personally, I do not consider him my "President". Obviously, this pains me because as an American I would want to feel great about supporting whomever is duly elected. But Obama was pushed through, in my opinion, not vetted - just shuffled through the process by the Liberal Press (lamestream media). He was NEVER challenged on the negatives of his associations and never even specifically took the time to answer questions on his Birth Certificate or to answer the Flag pin controversy or his 'hands at his waist' during the National Anthem. The largest issue of divide is his stance on abortion. Secondly is his liberal influence which terrifies me in how he might handle the placement of Judges on the Supreme Court and the many other, but still critical lower Courts. Thirdly is how he might dilute the Military and mishandle the War.

Who is this President-elect to you?

Is he "Your President"? If so...........why? And, if not..............why not?

I'll be stunned if I ever view him as my president. Looking at his staffing choices leads me to believe that he doesn't care to "work together", he's gearing up for battle. I expect him to get really aggressive with his change agenda.

This is going to be a wild ride.

Sure! Right after he converts to Christianity, becomes prolife, support free market and lower taxes, strong on defense, secure our borders and switches to the GOP!

He was selected (by the media) not fairly elected.

Rationalization is the second strongest human drive. Get past it and get busy making sure it doesn't happen again.

I will give Obama the same respect the media and the left gave President Bush, sounds fair to me.

My Constitution sets up the procedure for electing a President.

If someone follows that procedure and wins, he is the President. Since I am a citizen, he is MY President.

Doesn't mean I agree with him or like him, but he is the President.

All of this "he's not my President" sounds like the Gore losers after Florida.

No
Never
Nope
Not in any way shape or form.
Not in any single thing that he does.
I hope he fails terribly in his plans to Socialise the USA.
Didn’t support Clintoon in any way either.

He will be The President and I will continue to pray for him and our country regardless of his rotten ideology and policies.

And next election cycle we should be working up to our elbows to promote true conservative candidates. In fact I am in favor of throwing the RNC on the burn pile and promoting the Constitution Party or Independents. Republicans have completely disrespected conservatives and it is time to fire their axxs.

He called Governor Palin a pig and flipped off Senator McCain and his supporters. He will not support our Constitution. He believes it is a flawed document. He has no respect for the life of babies that surive an abortion. The list go on. I pray God save us from this evil we have brought on ourselves.

He is president-elect.

I accept it.

I don’t have to like it.

What they said.

I will give the office the respect it is due.

I don't have to agree with the man in the office, I can even do my best to keep an eye on the man in the office to make sure he does the job.

I refuse to denigrate the office, I will support the POTUS as he deserves it and will disagree vocally when I think he deserves it.

I will take the same position that liberals take concerning our military.

I support the President (elect) but do not support the mission.

He is not. I think of this as a communist takeover courtesy of Soros, the media and other subversive groups in this country and foreign sources as well. The most despicable is William Ayers. A man associated with him should never be anywhere near the oval office. Ayers should be rotting in jail as should his wife.

After he takes office, yes. He is my President. Do I like him? No. But I respect the Office of the President.

He won the election, or should I say McCain lost it, so those are the breaks.

And as my President, I will do my best to hold his feet to the fire.

Obama will be the President of the United States. That fact alone makes me want to puke. If, however, you want to know if I will respect him, the answer is “no!”

Obama will NEVER be my president!

This election was stolen by a Muslim/Marxist who had the power of millions of dollars worth of illegal campaign funds, the most powerful black radical racists, Muslim terrorists and America haters on the globe behind him.

He won’t bask in the glory of his victory in peace. We intend to go after him:

He is the President Elect. He will be the legitimate President, once he is sworn in. There is nothing we can do about that.

Unless someone can find iron clad proof that he was not born in Hawaii, or anywhere else in the US. Then he'd be ineligible, and would be illegitimate, even after being sworn in.

Well..............the “NO’s” are winning. It’s close though. Anyone that said yes typically had an answer of “ I respect the Office, but not the man” .

Here’s my answer - I already ordered my “Not My President” (with crossed out pic of O) bumper sticker from cafepress (it was already available the day after the election!). Considering his devotees’ habit of keying and violence, I will tape the sticker to the back window of the car and hide it whenever I park the car!
