BOYCOTT of FOX is WORKING
Veritas2002 | 11-07-08 | Vanity

Posted on 11/07/2008 9:06:21 AM PST by veritas2002

There has been an overwhelming response to the call to BOYCOTT FOX because of their trashing of Sarah Palin on their various programs, especially by Carl Cameron and Shep Smith.

The one-week BOYCOTT began yesterday - Thursday, at 3:00 PM EST. While some of you remarked that you had already tuned them out, many of you agreed to begin doing so.

To broaden the BOYCOTT, post this on as many conservative blogs that you can. The Nielsen ratings might not relfect the BOYCOTT but you can be sure that FOX's sponsors will not be happy, and it's all about money baby.

After the ratings tumble all the other hosts on FOX will be putting pressure on Cameron and any others to cease becoming part of the 'drive-by media' crowd.

So far over 15,000 have viewed the call for the BOYCOTT!

I refuse to take the reporters view of things any longer. That's just my view on things.

I'm with you. I'll probably watch coverage of some major disaster or something, and I'll watch the business news, but I'm giving serious thought to becoming one of those people I meet who say, 'I don't follow politics.' To hell w/the reporters, to hell w/news channels. I've got FR and other sites. I've got the History and Discovery Channel. I've got Mike Rowe for eye candy.

Maybe by not spending so much time watching cable news, I'll get more work done.

You know I have spent the last couple of days thinking about this. I think you are right. We should all 100% cut off Fox News.

What they did was inexcusable...anonymous and rumor...O’Reilly has the balls to call it news.

Why didn’t O’Reilly talk about how bad Obama’s plane smelled? That wasn’t rumor...nor was it anonymous...a pool reporter told that from their own personal experience.

I am still shaking my head...

I don't know how many "liberal leftward lurches" we've seen about Fox on this forum the past 8+ years, various letters and protest and they still seem to do what they want to do.

Ailes knows what works and will continue to do what does best for him.

I did vote. For McCain and a I am quite active, thank you.

“Call their sponsors and tell them you’re not going to buy their products.”

Happy to do that. Where do we find a list?

I hate to be a pessimist, but I think this effort is futile. You fighting the 24 hour press scavenger hunt. With the election over now, finding reportable news will be a frantic effort to say the least. Anything and everything that they can find to sell you Viagra and Sham-Wow is fair game. Getting the funds to pay multimillion dollar salaries to the talking heads is priority one. I'm afraid it really just a case of money talks. The Network News is really no better than the National Enquirer and they no longer care. Just keep those checks coming.

Why stop at a week? I’ve tuned out everything news related on television. Screw them.

I switched off all news at 8p.m. on Tuesday evening, just as Sen. McCain was coming on stage to make his concession speech. Have not watched news since.

I'll watch the business news.........

Well I heard on RUSH yesterday that now “cnn money” is telling everyone that since the election we are no longer heading toward a recession. We may not be able to trust them either. They have got to help build up their “dear leader” obama.

“Greta Van Susteren is going to be doing the 1st interview with Governor Palin and none on this thread that are boycotting FOX will be able to watch it. I mean if they do then they’d be hypocritical wouldn’t they?”

Where do you get hypocritical? We’re boycotting FOX in this house. Specifically tuning out the blowhard trio of Geraldo, Shep, and BOR — the panel — and anything to do with Carl Cameron from now on -— is the focus of our boycott.

But we won’t punish Greta, Sean, and Cavuto. Any advertisers can be told of our support of them and have their ads in those spots.

I don’t like gossip and I’m disgusted with the biased coverage of anyone conservative - and I don’t purchase magazines of any sort for that reason. I won’t even read them in the docs office.

What’s more, I’ll give my viewership time to any of the alphabets if they do a real interview of Sarah and other conservatives, and not an edited hatchet job and/or gotcha questions.

My wife was a Today show viewer. Not for the news, but for the puff pieces. I was pleased to find out this morning that she's taken the initiative and tuned out mainstream news as well.

We can see it on youtube...

You should be dropping your support for YouTube and their socialist-supporting management as well.

Yesterday when I got home from work I did it. FOX News joined MSNBC and CNN as blocked channels from my Direct TV line up. I am done with MSM broadcast over TV. Don't need em, don't want em. Sorry Hannity.
