There has been an overwhelming response to the call to BOYCOTT FOX because of their trashing of Sarah Palin on their various programs, especially by Carl Cameron and Shep Smith.
The one-week BOYCOTT began yesterday - Thursday, at 3:00 PM EST. While some of you remarked that you had already tuned them out, many of you agreed to begin doing so.
To broaden the BOYCOTT, post this on as many conservative blogs that you can. The Nielsen ratings might not relfect the BOYCOTT but you can be sure that FOX's sponsors will not be happy, and it's all about money baby.
After the ratings tumble all the other hosts on FOX will be putting pressure on Cameron and any others to cease becoming part of the 'drive-by media' crowd.
So far over 15,000 have viewed the call for the BOYCOTT!
It started well before that. According to this article in the Washington Post, published September 2, 2008, Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes initiated a meeting with Obama, promising him fair coverage and listening to his grievances about perceived attacks on his wife and Jeremiah Wright.
Murdoch is quoted in the article, saying that he sought the meeting because he is "fascinated by Obama." The result of this meeting was to give Obama an unprecedented platform on the O'Reilly show on the very night of McCain's acceptance speech. Obama received Ailes' personal assurance that "there will be no embarrassing stuff" in the interview.
According to Murdoch and Ailes, NOT okay to embarrass Obama, but way okay to embarrass the hell out of Governor Palin.
No. Wait to see if it's any good, then watch on youtube.
This is pretty stupid guys. The dirtbags are those within the McCain campaign that leaked the information. If Cameron did not report it, they would have gone to someone else who would.
We are the first ones to complain when the leftist media refuses to report a story, yet now think it is ok for Fox to do the same.
We used to watch Amazing Race as a family until they started having a gay couple in every season. They have to try to distort things to make it seem like this miniscule population is normal, frequent, and mainstream.
I have watched very little of Fox since Tuesday. I think I watched part of the Tommy Franks interview on H&C, the other night, but other than that, I haven’t bothered to watch news.
Seth McFarlane - such a talent and such a huge dooshbag.
What a waste.
if you don't want to boycott, then don't... but don't talk us out of it... we see that FNC has become just like the others... they were not fair and balanced during this election cycle...
this is not the FNC of ten years ago... or just four years ago... didn't you see the coverage of the debates... despicable... they have turned on their conservative audience... they are the RINO of television news... that they give "our side a break" from time to time is not good enough... boycotting the other channels won't do because most of us don't watch them anyway... it would be like a vegan giving up porkchops as a new year resolution...
“Of course, we will get some of the McCain Liberals on here that claim boycotts dont work”
They are trolls. I’m calling out each one I see on this site and telling them to leave. We really can’t rebuild the party with them around.
When I was back in college we damn near put our College newspaper out of business...when the fraternaties and sororities got together and pulled all our Rush ads, personal ads, party ads, fundraising ads, etc. out of the paper because some idiot decided to print a series of yellow articles about us to make a name for herself.....
They came begging for our business and we told them they could have it back when....
1)Their reporter apologized and corrected her inaccurate story and 2)They printed it as the top story above the fold on the front page.
They did both and never tried that again......
it's not stupid, and it's not just about the Carl Cameron leak... they are no longer fair and balanced... i guess you haven't noticed that they have become just like the other news channels... their coverage of this election was pathetic... they let Obama get away with his deception during the debates... they have betrayed their base in the same way a RINO does...
When I watched CNN during Kim Jong Il’s little missile party, I actually found them to be quite professional.
Fox barely paid attention to the story, preferring to discuss missing blond girls with lawyers or something.
thank you! this is the attitude we need to have... saying that we should stick with FOX News because they're at least a little better than the other guys is the same mentality that got us McCain as our nominee... no more RINO politicians, and no more CINO news channels...
They do not give our side a break, they give the neocon side a break.
and what network is this? i know you can't be talking about Fox News... if you are, where have you been lately?
How do I boycott, if I was boycotting before the boycott? Was that just the pre-boycott? And, should I join the NEW boycott, or just stay with the original boycott? TIA
One more thought, some folks here say they are only going to listen to talk radio, here comes the ‘Fairness Doctrine’. Others are only going to the internet, that’s why the libs want to turn the internet over the U.N. What will we have left? If we boycott Fox aren’t we just shooting ourselves in the foot? Best thing to do is boycott Shep Smith and let Fox know how we feel towards Carl Cameron.
I stopped watching right after the election. I am glad now that I hear how they are slamming Palin. I had grown sick anyways of the Fox “All Stars”.
I just don't get your brand of reasoning. Do you think that anything is within your locus of control? I'll bet your favorite spot in life is on the couch.
I trust that you didn't vote either, as that is an expression of merely one voice.
