Can someone tell me what the gun show loophole is?? I have been to one gun show. As I recall, they did background checks there just like at the stores? Appreciate the info...

To the gun grabbers, it is the notion that citizens can gather, meet each other, and buy and sell guns among themselves without government approval. Some states make this illegal already. Many don’t.

In those that don’t, the reality is that all sales by dealers (FFLs) require a background check, and those by private parties (who couldn’t get an FFL if they tried) are not. Those rules apply everywhere, whether at gun shows, parking lots, private homes, guns stores. The requirement for a background check is solely based on who is selling not on where the sale takes place.

There is arguably a private seller “loophole” (if you must) in these free states, but no :gun show loophole.”

Here’s the most important thing. This is a good time to SELL “papered” semi-autos (bought through a dealer) in a private sale. And buy replacements in private sales.

There is no "gun show loophole". What the gun grabbers mean is 'private sales'.

That's the 'loophole' and that's what they want to outlaw. They want to stop "Joe" from selling his gun to "John".
