As Maverick comes under heavy “friendly fire”, the silence from Iceman John McCain speaks volumes

I’m taking a razor blade to my McCain Palin sticker and slicing off the McCain part

McCain did not drop any ball. He sucked from day one, The ONLY reason he got my vote was because of Palin.

It doesn’t really matter who we ran on the R party ticket. This election was orchestrated for ‘the one’ to prevail.

John McCain's campaign staff is now looking for a convenient scapegoat in the person of Governor Sarah Palin.

Fire the janitor! That's what they do in big corporations when management fouls up.

Further proof that McCain would have been an absolute disaster as POTUS.

The problem with the McCain campaign was McCain. A real leader takes responsibility. Establishment republicans point fingers. Imagine the route had he not chosen Palin the Conservative.

Could somebody refresh my memory as to how in the world we ended up John (the “Maverick(TM)”) McCain as a candidate for president this year? This was the worst candidate and the worst campaign on the part of pubbies which I have ever seen. Mortimer Snerd could have beaten Barack Oinkbama and any of the other pubbie candidates I was seeing in the primaries would have utterly trashed him in debates.

The PUMAs did deliver and so did a lot of people on our side. Who lost this election? McCain who wouldn't play tough and hard on Obama and expose him and his record because it wasn't "honorable." Whatever you might say about Sarah, she gave it her best and acquitted herself with grace in defeat. Too bad the same can't be said of the people in McCain's campaign, who, had they been true professionals, could have made their candidate the President-Elect this week.

McCain must be defeated in the next primary he faces.

This classic case of blame shifting shows that those involved reveal their own selfish ineptness. It is that ineptness that failed John McCain. They should have been cleaned out of the campaign the minute they showed any indication of working for their own self interest.

McCain’s Campaign Dropped the Ball

McCain’s campaign never had the ball (or balls) to begin with. John McCain was the second worst candidate of the nine or so that we started with ahead of only Ron Paul IMO. I would have gladly voted for Romney, Thompson, Huckabee, or anybody but McCain. He is not a Conservative, has never been a Conservative, and has a history of throwing Conservatives under the bus. The only thing he did right in this campaign was to choose Sarah Palin as a running mate. Yes, I voted for McCain and Palin (mostly Palin) sadly hoping that Sarah somehow would be Present at some time. However, I know many Conservatives who stayed away from the polls rather than vote for McCain. In a nutshell, that is why McCain lost. No one is to blame except McCain. Unfortunately, Sarah Palin’s political career is probably finished because of her association with McCain.

Everyone is talking about the Republican Party recovering in 2012. I think it’s time for Conservatives to abandon that sinking ship and form a new party. Republicans are never going to wake up and left will prevail unless we do.

Sarah Palin and John McCain played golf yesterday and Sarah took 11 hours.

Why 11 hours?

Well it was “hit the ball, drag McCain, hit the ball drag McCain.”

Some good news....They mentioned on Fox today that they are getting a lot of emails complaining about the negative stuff being spit out about Palin

Also, Rick Santorum has called on John McCain to defend Palin...obviously McCain is in hiding

McCain better develop some repros will quick, or he will not be re-elected for Senate (if he decides to run)

It’s been over 36 hours and there’s not one word either way by McCain about all of this.

McCain's campaign didn't drop the ball; they never had it to begin with. He was selected by the NYT, LA Times and every other liberal asswipe rag and cable news network in this country. He wasn't the first/best choice - he was the remaining choice. His chances, whatever level they were, were only increased by choosing Palin.

All these attacks on Palin from the McCain staffers sicken me. It shows me that they were never really behind Palin and were just using her to fool us into voting McCain.

I was going to vote third party until the saddlebrook event and Palin nomination. But I have learned my lesson. I am NEVER voting for another moderate rebublican again - I don’t care who the VP pick is. That’s right, I said NEVER. I don’t care if James Dobson is the VP running mate.

From now on, either the guy on top is going to be a bona fide conservative or I’m voting for the constituation party candiate.

I voted for Sarah. McCain is a leftwing surrogate who never stood a chance against a real Democrat.
