Many are saying this doesn’t matter. It cetainly doesn’t matter in terms of who will be president, but it matters in many other ways. It reduces the “mandate” the dems think they have. It adds another red state to the map, and most of all, it matters to those who live in Indiana who voted conservative.

I don’t think Keyes would have been better. He is the reason Obama was successful in his run for State Senate.

No. I want to slap those who voted for McCain in the primaries.

McCain never did get the most republican votes. It was democrats and "independents" that gave him the nomination. If the RNC doesn't change the way our nominee is chosen they are doomed to repeat their mistakes.

As far as the Bob Barr and Ron Paul voters I tell them President Obama thanks them for their vote.

I have a feeling that ACORN was used
people voted every day through early voting

well done GOV christ
NOT

all ballot questi0ons go conservative and yet obama wins by a hundred thousand

doesn’t make sense

as for those old folks and snow birds down there in the south part , well I bet many of them vote in their old state and then in our state

Does anyone else want to slap those who voted for Bob Barr?

Interesting for statistics freaks...did the Libertarians throw any of the close states (excepting Indiana) to Obama? They gave us Harry Reid, if I recall correctly...

This would be good.

It DOES make a difference!

I truly dislike Ron Paul. I believe he is a kook in terms of foreign policy and his views on Iraq are very distorted.

Most Republicans agree with you, which is why they went down hard on Tuesday. If the Republicans want to be relevant again, they need to offer a choice (Paul) not an echo (McCain).

Although not everybody likes Alan keyes. YOu must credit this man for standing up to his principals and beliefs. When you listen to him, you know where he stands. That’s alot more than what you can say of others!

that pisses me off to no end

barr never had a chance and yet those who voted for him gave obama those two states

VA is interesting
they have to count tens of thousands of oversea votes from the military, same as here in florida

now if barr wasn’t running in VA, was he????
and those overseas come in then VA could be another state which could turn

how about NC

do they have to county overseas military votes yet as they have the marines down there who would use NC while they are away on duty

SO maybe besides IN, NC and VA could turn over

I agree. Anyone of them would have done better than McCain and a couple would have beaten Obama. Once McCain was nominated, the race was over.

It would just further prove that McCain was not campaigning as a Republican or Indiana would never have been in play.

Of course, $3.7M to $0 in spending tends to make even Red states turn all kinds of shades of blue. McCain had the same brilliant groundgame in Indiana that he did in Colorado, Nevada, Florida, etc. etc. etc. The guy literally thought that by saving ‘Maverick’ that all those ‘moderates and independents’ would just come running out of the woodwork for vote for him.

Please GOD, let this be a cautionary tale so that we never do this again. Let Republicans elect the Republican nominee and let Democrats nominate Democrats. It’s entirely a travesty of political justice to allow democrats to elect BOTH!!!

Not to be a party pooper and I wish it weren’t so, but even if Florida, Indiana, North Carolina and Virginia switched, McCain would still be behind 41 electoral votes.

I agree. McCain should not been running on the Republican ticket. He and Ron Paul should have been on their own libertarian or independent party tickets.

Lets just get one good conservative run next primary.
We can’t have conservatives splitting the votes in primaries allowing an Independent to get the win.

I am not trying to turn the election...

However, a closer vote would bring in more attention to the election fraud that occurred in all of the other key states.

This is very IMPORTANT and needs to be addressed before 2012. Otherwise we are doomed to repeat this mess.
