The View's conservative cutie Elisabeth Hasselbeck stunned viewers today by throwing her support behind president-elect Barack Obama. Executive Producer Barbara Walters asked Hasselbeck, who campaigned with John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin, how she felt after seeing McCain/Palin go down to defeat on election night. Hasselbeck said her daughter Grace, 3, had asked her who won and who lost the election. "No one lost," Hasselbeck said she told her child. "Seriously, today is a victory for this country." Hasselbeck said the massive voter turnout and the excitement of the presidential contest inspired her. "I will get in a long line of supporters
for this president," she said.

Obama will never be my president. I wish that leftist POS only the worst. The people have spoken - those bastards.
I guess some folks expect her to transform into a female Olberman (redundant?) and start foaming at the mouth.
I will support President-elect Obama, as the President, not as a political figure. I want him to succeed in advancing the interests of our Nation, because if he doesn’t Americans, military and civilian, will die. I also hope he goofs up his political popularity so bad he’s impeached, but we both know that ain’t gonna happen.
Well, it’s real nice that Elizabeth was gracious, but to be honest, I’m sick to death of being gracious and showing class and showing the other side how much better than them we are.
Guess what, The View watchers don’t care that she was gracious, they probably don’t even realise she was being a class act. All they saw was another republican caving.
What has being gracious, or classy or showing that we’re better than our enemies ever gotten a republican? It got us 8 years of constant Regan bashing, 4 for Bush I and 8 horrific years of the most vile and hate filled rhetoric against Bush II. It gave us 8 years of Clinton selling out our country because we were too good to make a fuss. It may have cost a good woman a chance to shine for the republicans.
And saddest and most unforgivable of all, it has cost the unnecessary deaths of countless brave soldiers, because we wanted to show the enemy how much better we are then they.
Sorry for the rant, not feeling very gracious today. :(
Her arguments are both obvious and persuasive.
But I suspect many will snap out of it once Hussein starts doing his thing raising taxes, signing gun bans, reinstating the Fairness Doctrine, etc.
I know, that’s what I thought. I don’t have problem with a black person either, But why someone like him?
Still, you never know. Herman Cain, Ken Blackwell, and others like him can be part of our future, if we have one that is! We certainly could use them, as well as the Sarah Palins!
She's not saying she'd vote for the guy or that she agrees with his policies.
She's saying that Obama will be the President of the country, hers and yours and mine. And surely -- like it or not -- that's going to be true for a while.
And really, would you rather reassure a 3-year-old or let her have nightmares about who won and who lost and what's going to happen?
Thta’s good. Clever. Like it.Did you draw it?
The title is misleading. She’s just showing some graciousness and respect to the holder of the office of the Presidency of the United States, even though she would have preferred it went to McCain.
“I will get in a long line of supporters for this president.”
Well isn’t that special.
Your point being what? I have been pretty vocal on those matter aswell.
I like brains.
LOL.
“We know his agenda - and most of us despise it.”
Interesting to read this statement of yours. We are led to believe that the *world* loves Obama and are rejoicing.
The difference is, we could have had a lib who loved his country and would be followed by a conservative VP, but we got a lib who hates the country and has a puke-inducing buffoon as VP.
That’s what I say. I can think of several people of color that I think would have been great presidents.
Thomas Sowell
Clarence Thomas
J.C. Watts
Condi Rice
Just to name a few.
This is not a Banana Republic, we don't march unfavorable leaders out to the gallows, we vote them out.
You are right, she has more class than all of the others put together.
