Clowns like Rick Davis and Charlie Black have been rattling around DC for a long time. They were involved in Dole’s campaign, and we all recall how successful that was.

Matter of fact, why don’t we examine the similarities:

1. War hero.
2. Moderate squish senator.
3. Rejection of real conservative positions.
4. Refusal to truly engage their opponent, a repeat of this fatuous notion of “taking the high road.”
5. A very stirring concession speech that disappears into the mists of time.

Same exact formula as before. And I’m sure these clowns (Davis and Black) collected tidy fees for their “services” both times.

The message that has to be sent in the next cycle is that anyone who ends up on the crap list constitutes grounds for denying any and all donations to the campaign. ie, “You have Charlie Black or Rick Davis on your staff? Yea? Well, you ain’t getting a dime out of me. (click)”

Now that the election is over we can all say what has been bugging us, that McCain was just a Dole repeat. Stupid choice and we are all scratching our heads on how McCain got the nomination in the first place.

Charlie Black, huh? That’s a magic name with me. I warned about him being involved in the campaign. He was with Bush the Elder in addition to Dole. Arrogant, smug and totally inept when making the case on TV. The exact opposite of what you want in a surrogate and an advisor. I’m not surprised.

AFAIAC, it’s time for a true Conservative Party, whatever you call it, to put sand in the gears in 2012, or maybe even win.

McCain was a really dull candidate, and had no enthusiasm from me until Palin. Zero. I probably would have voted for him w/o Sarah, but it wouldn’t have even been a nose-holding affair. There wasn’t even that level of passion.

Now, I’m ready to form up with a truly conservative party. Clearly, the Republican Party is not going to honor the base that got it where it is. Clearly the Republican party is Demo-Lite.

Can a new conservative coalition draw 30% of votes away from the Republicans in 2012, assuring their defeat? Is that, plus powerful education programs, the way to shock them and give the true base a platform to operate from that is distinguishable from the Democratic party? Four or eight years from now, a conservative message may start to resonate again.

I venture to say that Sarah Palin's name will be around a lot longer than that of Dole's running mate (who was that again??)!!

Plus Charlie Black and John Sears were fired by Reagan in February of 1980. Bill Casey took over and led the campaign to victory without violating the spending limits as were then in place for the primaries. Casey did goooooood.
