living through the coronation at close range here in DC is going to be hard to stomach, but once the actual governance starts, i look forward to seeing those looks of disappointment, as the stark reality starts hitting home.

My entire staff is Republican so we all had glum looks on our faces yesterday. You could tell that some of our clients voted Obama from the zombie grins on their faces but they didn’t say a word. A conservative client and I talked about how great Sarah was and is. My daughter said the black kids were doing Obama cheers when she went to school.
People like my sheeple parents who have no clue. They only have main stream television and read Seattle newspapers. They call me a radical because I voted for McCain/Palin. They loved Clinton also. They think it’s okay to have a BJ in the oval office, and now they think it okay to have a traitor to the America as a president. Their politics makes me sad and made me a conservative.
Sales taxes are going up, same with income tax.
My income won't be able to make up the difference.
On another note, I heard of something yesterday called a “drunkover”, half drunk, half hungover. LOL!
I work in Sunnyvale (Silicon Valley) and was in San Fran for a conference yesterday. It struck me how very strange it was that I did not overhear a SINGLE conversation about the election, there were no celebrations anywhere. And this was at a convention with 9,000 people attending. Everything was eerily quiet. The only thing different is all the newspaper racks were emptied by 2 PM so I couldn’t buy a paper for the train ride down the peninsula.
Well, I found a bunch of Obamatrons in my class last night.
Got int several heated arguments. One guy told me that I was crazy cause I said BO’s a socialist.
Luckily, class started before things got too heated.
What a great line.... literary, even. Like something George Orwell might have written while channeling Raymond Chandler.
I saw no dancing in the streets on election night. The Upper East Side was a ghost town. Eerily silent.
My wife told me yesterday that one of her co-workers (with severe BDS), Lady X, asked her if she was happy with the election results, particularly the election of Obama. Lady X had repeatedly made BDS comments to my wife for about six years and my wife just smiled and ignored it. Yesterday my wife responded with something along the lines of, “And I think you will be very happy when your taxes go up to support all the new entitlement programs.” Lady X immediately went ballistic and was shouting and screaming at the temerity of my wife to make such an outrageous comment. This was at work in a professional environment. Libs can dish it out but not take it.
I’ll throw $10 into a pool to pick the day we last hear “Bush’s Fault”. I predict January 19, 2013.
I went to the barber too, he made the comment that none of his costumers talked about the election. Oh well, life does go on.

Same here. A few of my in-laws are avowed Obamists, attended every event he held here in MN, and just “love” him. I can’t bring myself to have them in my home and around my children.
We see the world in two completely different ways, in every way imaginable, and as horrible as this sounds, their evil and immoral support of a man like Obama shows me everything I ever needed to know about them. I no longer need them in my life.
Yeah, I know what you mean. My children watched the returns with me. By the time McCain made his concession speech, it was only my oldest son (17) and I who were awake. I held on to him while watching the speech, tears running down my face. I went out to the porch to get some air, and wept some more. It occured to me that I was crying more over this than I have over the house fire that destroyed everything I own (though everyone I love was spared, thank God.)
My youngest son (9), who was sleeping in front of the TV, which ran returns all night (their request) woke up when he heard me walk through at 3 AM.
Mama...he said...It’s Obama. Sad little voice. I said I know, honey, I know. And then reminded him of Ps 20:7-8...some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the Name of the Lord our God.
Since our fire, we have been living with a friend and his family. They all voted for Obama. No exulting on their part, though. I think our quiet mourning has spoken volumes to them about the depth of our concern.
And yes, we tried, oh so hard, to make them understand. And I think we made progress - just not enough for this election.

same here. my problem would be physical; i would be nauseated to be around them, to hear them speak their platitudes, to hear them speak of Christians as if they were dumb, unscientific dolts. (and, of course, they would be the brilliant, scientific ones who need evidence that He is still with us.)
i can’t stand them and never will. i find myself unwilling to be in a situation where cordiallity and humanness would be appropriate. i am going to make it a point to shun them, avoid them, and prevent myself from having any contact with them. i will repeat to myself, again and again...cast not thy pearls at the feet of swine, lest they be trampled. (let them stew in their own juices; i’m tired of their prairie pancakes and rudeness.)

I’m still ill, which is why I have not been around much. The fraud that went on in this election will just be swept under the table. Here in Wisconsin, people were sending in pictures of the numerous cars with Illinois tags at the polling stations. Ohio already had 200,000 votes in the bank, which is roughly what bho won Ohio by. We heard about the 100,000 people who were registered in GA, plus also registered in FL or OH. I am convinced this was the most fraudulent election in history. And yet, so many Republicans stayed home because they couldn’t pull the handle for McCain. The same ones who stayed home in 2006 to teach the GOP a lesson. To those I would like to say “thanks alot”....hopefully, it’s not too late to get our Country back. Just thinking about it makes me ill.
I live in bitter religion and gun clinging racist western PA. My coworkers and friends are pretty stunned. The only 0 voter at work is silent on this because she is surrounded by those who completely disagree with her.
Personally I was pretty nauseated yesterday morning but then realized the sun would still come up each day and that this might be just be what conservatism needed to purge the RINO’s...provided we all survive the next four years.
