My wife yesterday mentioned she wanted to move out of NM (went completely blue with Pres., Senate, and 2 congress critters). On top of that, every bond passed, meaning higher taxes. My property taxes have increase by 10% in one year.

Sales taxes are going up, same with income tax.

My income won't be able to make up the difference.

California is bankrupt, going hat in hand for a bailout to the federal government. So you think Californians would want to put their financial house in order and vote down all tax increases and bond measures, right? Wrong.

All tax hikes passed in CA and here in the Bay Area with the sole exception of the increase in sales tax to pay for the extension of BART to San Jose. And that one is too close to call right now. The not-so-funny thing is that, when I moved to CA in 1973, Santa Clara County had passed a 1/4% increase in sales tax a few years earlier to bring BART to Santa Clara County. Where did the 50 years’ collections of that 1/4% go? Now we are at 8-1/4%.

“My wife yesterday mentioned she wanted to move out of NM ...”

Move one state over to Texas. You would be at home here, for now!

“My wife yesterday mentioned she wanted to move out of NM”

Do it now before Hussein and the DEMS realize there is money to be made by charging a “relocation tax.”

Move to Texas. No income tax. Solid red-state if you avoid the cities (especially Austin).

I fear for my family’s finances and my country’s status. I told my husband I want to move out of this country. We started researching Canada. I don’t want to be here when the problems start. I have no interest in anything. I take my daughter to school and there isn’t any conversation. All the parents would talk and laugh and now it is just us waiting around for the doors to open so our kids can go in. It is so depressing. I’ve worked so hard to give my daghter a better life than I had and here is this supposed man getting ready to destroy her future.
Has everone signed the petition? Let’s do what we can to raise eyebrows. If enough people rally, you never know.
