Much as I hate to say it, I believe you are right. Let Palin serve in the House or Senate before returning to a Presidential ticket. She shone brightly next to McCain, but against another rising star, not so much.

Not so bright. Jindal got slapped down hard by the state’s conservatives this year and had to apologize for doing something stupid. He had to eat crow and promise not to cut any more stupid deals with the democrats in the future.

I’d pay to see a debate between Jindal and Obama. It would not be close. Jindal would take that empty suit to the woodshed intellectually and pummel him with explicit details and exact, precise numbers. It would be an onslaught of facts and counterarguments that would blow Obama away with the ferocity of hurricane force winds. The guy is probably the most intelligent politician on the scene today and should take a back seat to nobody. He would never be caught flat footed during a Couric or Gibson interview. Ask him the Prime minister of, say, Iceland and I’ll bet you he knows the answer(Haarde). In fact, during his first run for Governor he was criticized for appearing far too knowledgeable at the age of 32. None of this is hyperbole, I’ve witnessed it over the last several years.
