Stevens up only 1 point. Coleman dead heat. UGH
FOX | 11-4-2008 | Me

Posted on 11/04/2008 11:55:21 PM PST by SideoutFred

Coleman is up 1,600 votes with 95% reporting

Stevens, the complete fraud that he is, holds only a 1% lead at about 1100 votes. 66% of precincts reporting.

I'm going to bed. Prop 8 is going to pass out here and my GOP congressman who actually called the Fannie and Freddie Mac situation in 2005 got re-elected.

Geeze, I can’t go to bed until I know where this stands with 100% in.

Me either. Meanwhile, Prop. 8 (the one banning same-sex marriage) is passing by about 5% with 70% of the votes counted in California.

“It is looking like we will get these last 4 Senate races.”

I *really* hope so. If they throw Lieberman under the bus, that means we’ll be down 10 assuming he wises up and caucuses with McCain in the Senate (55-45 at that point).

That basically means that this election is the mirror image of 2004 (electoral votes aside). My have things changed in 4 short years.

I loved the DUer post someone threw up where he claimed we were silenced forever this election. These idiots needs to grow up. While we got our asses kicked, we’ve still got some clout. Plus, as others have mentioned, the two SC judges likely to retire are liberals anyway....basically we need to work for 4 years to return some sanity back to congress.

2010 looks like it’ll be another tough year right now, but 2 years is an eternity in politics.

Stay tough FRiends...we’re not dead at all.

“Up in the left corner of the page you keep referring to, it says unofficial.”

It will stay that way until the secretary certifies the results.

Actually Prop 8 is down to 4%, but still a 300,000+ lead. Looking at the remaining counties, it will pass. Good!!

One solitary vote for Alan Keyes with 98% of vote in? Wow.

It seems that the four write-in candidates for Senate didn’t even vote for themselves?

Don't you recall similar talk around here in 2004, as people pounded their chest and proclaimed the end of Liberalism forever, mocking the Left?

And those of us who urged caution were flamed.

I hear the dems are stuffing the ballots in Western Kern as they cannot believe Florez has lost.

Media now saying 99% in. Coleman trailing by 1164. I’d feel a lot better if both the media and the SOS had the same guy in the lead.

OK, the OFFICAL vote counter in the State of Minnesota is the Secretary of State. Until they get all the paperwork done the totals are “unofficial” until the Sec of State certifies them some weeks from now

However, the vote total as reported by the Sec of State is the OFFICAL “AKA real” vote count. What the “News” media is reporting (I have no idea where they are getting it) but it has been at odds with the official state vote count all night.

When the “news” media numbers are at odds with the offical state vote counters numbers, Conservative should look at the REAL numbers not what the “news” media is reporting.

Secretary of State now has it at 4.6% difference with 348,000 difference with 72% of precincts counted. Maybe the media isn’t the best source to rely on.

I’ve been watching the SOS for hours, and Franken has been down by 5,000 to 15,000 or more votes for at least the past 3 hours. With 98.55% reporting, he is STILL down by about 6,500. These are pretty consistent numbers, unlike the media “source” that is fluctuating all over the place.

I would hope that by now we would have learned not to trust anything the media does. What’s happening now with their numbers is likely for the drama effect and to keep idiots like us watching. In all likelihood, Coleman will hold on to his 6,000 to 7,000 vote lead in the SOS number and the media “source” will catch up with that same number later on.

If Franken is elected to the US Senate, Minnesota should be burned and their earth salted.

Maybe you should try listening to the official vote counter (The State of Minnesota) and not taking the data 3rd hand from a prove unreliable source like the Establishment Media.

Johnnie, I did that in 2006 with Virginia and got burned. I’d like to know why 3 major networks are so off. I’d feel better if at least directionally they all had the same guy winning.

“And those of us who urged caution were flamed.”

Yep. No argument from me at all. In fact, I personally learned a lot over the past 4 years.

Still, I hate seeing all of the virtual suicide talk, the “I’m moving to country X,Y, or Z (although Eastern Europe looks appealing to me ;-) “, and eating of our own. I am sure that talk will subside in the coming weeks, but it just hurts to see that....we are better than that.

Let’s just hope the threads we have left in the Senate do some good and that 2010 is a better year.
