Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell told reporters this afternoon that he is "optimistic, but by no means overconfident" about Barack Obama's chances in the state.
Speaking at the city political establishment's annual luncheon at the Famous 4th Street Deli in Queen Village, Rendell said that voter turnout "looks to be good all over the state," and is "going to be very good" in Philadelphia - although not as high as he had hoped.

I guess he’s disappointed the Dallas Cowboys and Mickey Mouse didn’t show. You can’t really live up to the expectations when most of the newly registered are fraudulent or non-existent.

Philadelphia is a thuggish city full of thuggish people.
If McCain wins Pennsylvania then he has a slight chance to win the Presidency. I don’t think that’s going to happen.
McCain’s campaign was too poorly organized and there are too many disgruntled employees talking to the media trying to portray the lovely Sarah Palin as a rogue diva.
Earlier today, I voted for John McCain because I still have hope that the Republican party can return to it’s freedom-minded roots.

Already lowering expectations in PA? Why would he do this if it was as much of a lock as the polls suggest.
Encouraging.

Whoa.
You all have now been pinged.
Of course, this is mostly anecdotal, but Philly turnout is the key to the whole state.

If McCain wins Pennsylvania then he has a slight chance to win the Presidency. What? If McCain wins PA his chances of winning the Presidency are 90+ %.
