Dumb question, but how do they “know” what the numbers are?

In Florida lot of people already voted early. On sunday(the last day of early voting), people reported about 5 hours wait time. A coworker told today that it took him less than an hour to vote today. Florida is already in the bag for McPalin. Have peace.

I voted earlier today in a fairly liberal NH city.

Good news: 1)Was not as busy as I anticipated. 2)There were a bunch of Obama supporters waving at cars on the town green, but very few people were honking back.

Bad news: I saw more same-day registrants than usual, and they looked like hippies.

I hope this is true just so I can watch major Garret have a nervous breakdown on tv, he has been embedded so far up Obama’s butt it would be a thing of glory to force him to report on an Obama defeat.

I think any of these reporters who trail a candidate for such a long time are probably suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

I beleive we will win Fla.

I did my part. If any of you see any of the 1500 signs like “Obama = Socialism” or “OBAMA IS TOO RADICAL” around town, you’ll know who put them up.

c-span today did something unusual.

when a caller mentioned a third party candidate, they flashed a picture of bob whatshisname. Why? so that viewers would see there is some other “white guy” running? was this their effort to split the mythical bradly effect?

I think the left wingers are going to have massive mourning stages when this goes mccain/palin. (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance)

I voted in Scituate this morning. I live about 2 minutes from the H.S. where we vote and it took me a total of 90 minutes to get in and out. I have never seen such a turnout. Hard to predict who they were turning out for. Every age group was represented.

Q: What do you call a canidate who is depending on the "youth vote"?

A: A loser.

A quote I saw attributed to an old Clinton supporting campaigner (Can't remember his name right now, but he's the bald bulldog-like/alligator-like bombastic Southerner who used to bully other talking heads for good olde Billy).

The best - LOL!

Too bad BO buttons couldn’t be shopped on the zombies, but then, the dead don’t campaign - they only vote.

There could also be some liberal Dums launching DOS attacks against FR to screw with our well-organized GOTV efforts here.

Most of ‘em are overweight unemployed idjits living in mommy’s basement with too much time on their hands anyway.

I don’t know if that Virginia report is on the money.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Virginians are voting at a record-setting pace.

The executive secretary of the State Board of Elections said at a briefing in Richmond that 30 percent to 40 percent of the state’s more than 5 million registered voters had cast ballots Tuesday morning. Nancy Rodrigues said that typically the turnout is about one-half of that pace.

She estimated that more than 75 percent of Virginia’s registered voters will have cast ballots by the time the polls close at 7 p.m.

Newsradio is reporting not so heavy turnout across Miami-Dade. I have driven past several precincts in heavy Republican areas, with not too much activity. 5 seconds before I read this, I said this was a bad sign for McCain, but if the reports are true throughout the county, it might be a wash.

I would think the GOP vote would have either early voted or will come and vote after they get off of work.

I just got back from voting here in Iowa. My precinct is pretty heavily democratic (blue collar, union). The election judges that I chatted with after voting said turnout was about normal, he had not seen many new faces.

The newspaper said that the county auditor expected turn out to be up 15-20%, so unless the afterwork crowd makes up the difference, that would seem unlikely here.
