Obama big winner in early NH towns' votes
Breitbart ^ | 11/04/08 | GLENN ADAMS

DIXVILLE NOTCH, N.H. (AP) - Barack Obama came up a big winner in the presidential race in Dixville Notch and Hart's Location, N.H., where tradition of having the first Election Day ballots tallied lives on. Democrat Obama defeated Republican John McCain by a count of 15 to 6 in Dixville Notch, where a loud whoop accompanied the announcement in Tuesday's first minutes. The town of Hart's Location reported 17 votes for Obama, 10 for McCain and two for write-in Ron Paul. Independent Ralph Nader was on both towns' ballots but got no votes.

"I'm not going to say I wasn't surprised," said Obama supporter Tanner Nelson Tillotson, whose name was drawn from a bowl to make him Dixville Notch's first voter.

With 115 residents between them, Dixville Notch and Hart's Location get every eligible voter to the polls beginning at midnight on Election Day. Between them, the towns have been enjoying their first-vote status since 1948.

Being first means something to residents of the Granite State, home of the nation's earliest presidential primary and the central focus—however briefly—of the vote-watching nation's attention every four years.

Town Clerk Rick Erwin said Dixville Notch is proud of its tradition, but added, "The most important thing is that we exemplify a 100 percent vote."

Dixville Notch resident Peter Johnson said the early bird electoral exercise "is fun." A former naval aviator, Johnson said he was voting for McCain, but added, "I think both candidates are excellent people."

When I went to bed last night and when I woke up this morning I said a prayer of thanks and said that this election is in God's hands. Whatever the outcome He has a purpose for it - my ways are not His ways, and my thoughts are not His thoughts...I know that He will take care and provide for me, my family, and the nation.

After praying that prayer, I felt a peace and relief - I slept really well...

If memory serves me right, Obama won by a landslide in the NH primary and look how that turned out...

Dixville Notch is like the rest of America, with its people looking for “help” from a U.S. government already possibly $10 trillion in debt. And wasn’t McCain supposed to be the “kind of Republican” who could win Dixville Notch?

No, HRC won NH, and NH is more predictable than it likes to think it is.

Then a busload of ACORN volunteers showed up and the final tally for Dixville Notch was 75 Obama to 6 McCain.

Not a good sign for McCain, if one goes by results in the last 5 presidential elections:

2004: Bush 19 Kerry 7
2000: Bush 21 Gore 5
1996: Dole 18 Clinton 8
1992: Bush 15 Perot 8 Clinton 2
1988: Bush 34 Dukakis 3

Dixville Notch voted overwhelming for Obama in the NH primary. As a matter of fact, Hillary didn’t get one vote.
However, we all know who won the NH primary....Hillary.
So, now you should adjust your little theory.
They don’t have a history of being an indicator.

This vote is the result of the MSM PC bias on Obama in an isolated region where the alternate media doesn’t reach and a harbinger of bad things to come.
