Did you see the Hart, NH results? I think NH is out of the picture this year- which is a shame, I’d hoped Gov Palin would have appealed to them more.

You have to wonder whether Americans want Obama's kind of change. It appears small town New Hampshire likes it.

No, never was a fan of Mitt. Good business sense, bad other things. I can’t stand the sight of McCain and Obama needs to be violently shaken like a baby and maybe his brain will swell to the size of an average Joe the Sixpack Plumber. Actually, both of those men are seriously out of touch with everyday things, except maybe their kids. They could spend a week with me and learn enough to run another campaign from a totally different angle. I just can’t imagine anything good coming from either a McCain or Obama presidency. Sarah Palin is a fantastic woman and a needed dream for our future. After McCain guts what’s left of any conservatism in the republican party, she may have to go Independent.

There's no conservative movement to speak of in much of the country. Liberalism is winning by default. In a generation, who knows?

Liberals are good at moving into decent places and turning them into cesspools.
Ain’t that the truth!

I wonder why they insist on invading an area and then changing it to be more like the place they left behind, which they left because it was trashed by their policies.

Makes no sense to us but liberals are liberal. It’s a mental disease—and I’m serious.

Right now over half of this country is in some kind of TRANCE.

Ron Paul used to be my respresntative when I lived in Texas and I liked him very much. If he wouldn’t be so unreasonable about the Middle East — I could hang with him for an election cycle. I did not vote for him in the primaries and won’t vote for him today. I just looked down and it is now election day. And it is my birthday!

G.E.D’s election desk is not prepared to call New Hampshire at this point, as Obama has only a 16-vote lead statewide.

But if we find out tonight that this country wants Obama, then they shall have him, and get everything bad they deserve. At least my conscience will be clear.

That's true. White guilt and a desire for change is proving very attractive. It may be more than McCain-Palin can stem.

So will mine. People will get exactly what they voted for. If the country wants to vote for Obama out of a mixture of idealism, a hunger for change and a desire to make history, we can't really stop it.

It was pointed out to me once that in Western Civilization, decent people have moved out in the face of such stressors, crossing the ocean to come to the New World, and then expanding into the West. But now, there’s not really anyplace new to go...Mars isn’t quite ready.

As much as Liberals talk about “sustainability,” they tend to foul places and then move on...while it’s the conservatives who built sustainable culture, promoting good healthy families, etc.

Believe me ... in the rural parts of Louisiana conservatism is alive and well and is doing very well. We here in my immediate area know that it works.

Unfortunately, the voting centers of Shreveport/Bossier City, Baton Rouge and Monroe will go heavily Obama for obvious reasons. I don't know what to except from New Orleans because the black population is far less than it was for the last general election. I don't believe they are going to be able to bus in the blacks from Atlanta, Houston, Dallas and other places like they did last time. They were told to get registered where they are living.

Yeah, and President Humphrey knew how well that one went.

That about nails the value of Dixville Notch. In a town of, what, 21 voters, and having no clue what the age, occupations etc. of the 21 voters, the hard times that are projected to be on the way seemed to have made carrot, apparently, too attractive to resist.

Very well put.

About your comment on Mars: “Earth First! We’ll mine the other planets later.” An old bumper sticker.

Doesn't it go "Try your waitresses and tip the veal?"
