Seems he called it. Or repeated what he was told by the doctor.

Thanks for the link.

That she was on her deathbed and wouldn’t live to see the election. I remember Rush making fun of that, saying he was just making political hay.

I’m shocked at some of the comments here. No matter what you think of Obama, he loved her. At the basic most people, no matter how bad, have the capacity to love their family.

Y’know, if, God forbid, The One does win tomorrow, it is a shame that his grandmother’s not around to see it. (She’d be watching it from her comfy spot on the pavement under the bus where he threw her months ago, but still.)

I really do hope I live to see us elect a black President. A CONSERVATIVE black President, not this socialist we’re getting shoved down our throats this year. Maybe, I dunno, Machosauce/Piper Palin 2036?

Obama spent an hour with her when he arrived in Hawaii at night but then returned to spend the next day with her.

Thank you for saying this. People have jumped down my throat here when I point out falsehoods like this "he only spent an hour with her" crap. We can have profound differences with our political opponents without lying and demonizing them. Many here don't seem to understand that nor do they care about the truth. As you said, he arrived at night and spent an hour with her that night (do you really think Grandma wanted to stay up past midnight?) and then stayed overnight and spend most of the following day with her. There's no need to make things up in order to slander people.

Not necessarily. My mother-in-law died of angiosarcoma last November. She was actually greatly improved, and was slated to move out of hospice care and back into the hospital the next day, the doctors were that optimistic that she was strengthening. And then bang, she died before her husband could even get to the hospice.

To: Clinton's a liar

>STATEMENT BY JOHN AND CINDY MCCAIN
>“We offer our deepest condolences to Barack Obama and his
>family as they grieve the loss of their beloved
>grandmother.”

Will everyone PLEASE borrow a page of this decency from our candidate and his wife, and simply pay your respects in this thread?

God sees all, we are all in His hands. Remember that.

He knew his grandmother was dead when he was flipping Mccain the bird.

Not surprising at all, RummyChick. I've met the man. He's one cold character. Ice cold.

Yahoo reports:

“The candidate learned of her death Monday morning while he was campaigning in Jacksonville, Fla. He planned to go ahead with campaign appearances.”

Then, later on this same day:

“Obama Flips Off McCain
Drudge ^
Posted on Monday, November 03, 2008 3:57:42 PM”

Truly disturbing behavior.

The last news report was of a broken hip, though they planted a seed that her cancer may have reappeared.

Depending on the type of cancer, it may have affected her bones, thus the broken hip was both caused by the cancer deteriorating the bones as well as what caused her to be checked out.
