After the coal quote, McCain clinches PA and it is all over for Obama.
2 out of the 4 traditionally Dem voting areas, Northeast and Southwest PA, are coal mining regions. That could be the ticket for McCain taking PA.
Thats what weird, he doesn’t even need PA to win yet people are freaking out about an Obama blow out. Win 3 Toss-ups and one leaner and game over for Obama.
“After the coal quote, McCain clinches PA and it is all over for Obama.”
—only if it gets traction and we are running out of time
(fingers are crossed tightly cutting off circulation to fingertips...)
Not if O wins CO and VA.
I'd love to hear from anyone on the ground in Pennsylvania. Are TV ads by McCain and/or surrogates hitting BHO's "we'll bankrupt the coal companies" quote hard and often? Is it gaining any traction?
From the viewpoint of an outside observer, it seems to me the only defense the Dems are offering is that it's old news, or an old quote, as if that changes anything.
I'd like to think this issue puts Pennsylvania in play. How's it look there?
I did a search on the wire and did not find very many outside of MSM. I hope all the small town papers and radio /tv are covering this coal story big time?
First, Mccain-Palin can lose 16 electoral votes off of the Bush ‘04 red states electoral map and win anyway.
However, the coal quote should put McCain-Palin over the top in the Kerry ‘04 blue state of PA.
So, now, McCain-Palin can lose 16 + 21 (37) electoral votes off the Bush ‘04 red states electoral map and win.
McCain-Palin are also likely to gain 1 of 4 electoral votes in Maine and they are likely to win the 4 electoral votes in New Hampshire.
So, now, McCain-Palin can lose 37 + 5 (42) electoral votes.
So if McCain-Palin win PA (21), ME(1), and NH (4) (and Bush ‘04 won with 16 extra electoral votes), McCain-Palin can lose 42 electoral votes from what were Bush ‘04 red states.
42 electoral votes IS ALOT of Bush ‘04 red states.
MY winning scenario is McCain-Palin win PA (21), ME(1), and NH (4) and lose:
NM (5)
CO (9)
VA (13)
NC (15)
_______
42 ev
Election result: 270 electoral votes for McCain-Palin
Hello! Pres. MCain & Vice Pres. Palin!!!!!
Therefore, McCain-Palin win PA, they can lose to lose VA (13 ev), CO (9), and up to
