Pennsylvania is shaping up to be what Florida was in 2000 and Ohio was in 2008. On the morning drive in, I was tuned into our nationally sydicated talk show which broadcasts from Pittsburgh, PA.
He was reading from GOP internal polls. McCain has actually moved into the lead in Pennsylvania (but still within the margin of error) and was only 1% behind in Michigan. Keep working and don't give up!

Det65,
Are you from Jersey?
From what I here the financial community that commutes from NY may not want Obamee's Euro-Socialism and what effect it will have on them especially after the last month.....
No one’s talking about VA anymore. Is anyone campaigning there anymore? It's a little unsettling.
If anybody needs me, I'll be hanging from the shower.
Thanks for the info! That speaks volumes — more so then what any pollster can tell us. With reports like this, it makes me convinced we are going to be celebrating tomorrow night.
Is most of what he is going to be working on for the presidential election though or does it also refer to congressional seats? I am not surprised by VA,NC,MT, NH, MO, FL, PA, OH, and IN but I wonder if MN, WA, OR, and ME (beyond the one district?) are specifically for the presidential election or if they are there to monitor voting in the presidential election or if they are also in response to concerns about congressional seats.... kinda surprised CO, NM, and NV aren’t on there if it is presidential only.
I'm going to be voting in the morning and coming in late. I've put in to take Nov 5th off, officially because I want to stay up late and watch the returns come in.
With 20-30 hours left? I'm not so sure... Even media buys are tight on this timeline and the travel logistics are a nightmare — McCain is on Monday Nite Football with bho tonight... they have to get back to vote on Tuesday AM...
My guess is that MI is tightening up for us — but it is too late for us to do anything but cross fingers... McCAin/Palin has a modle and plan for winning w/o MI and at this pt. they are committed to execute on that plan...
In any event, a surrogate in MI would help but who is a good rep? Lieberman is too cerebral and low key — rudy is too “ny”, Fred Thompson would be pretty strong. Anyone else come to mind?
Disregard.
Just read #81.
Thanks.
Can you guys tell me why the pollsters would rig their polls to benefit Obama? Is it because they prefer him or are they just off on the expected turnout?
The only day off I will be taking will be Wednesday should we win. I will spend the entire day scanning CNN, MSNBC, and the rest of the mainstream news channels.
Sadly, when I was able to listen to a short snippet finally of this Karl character, it doesn’t only give me pause, it gives me hives.
It doesn’t sound like this guy would know anything.
And yesterday McCain said PA is within reach but is 2 points down. Now why would he say 2 points down and not just flat out they will win PA if they were anywhere near double digits in the lead?
Can understand trying to keep belief going into the polls but this is over the top.
Please let me be wrong. I’d love to be wrong and PA is in the bag!
IN RES:”How many states apportion their EVs? I cannot remember?”
**********
Only Maine and Nebraska apportion if my memory is right — we need to and expect to get all of NE — we have a good shot at picking up 1EV in ME and possibly more...
BTW Sarah went to ME with Todd looking for that 1EV about 10 days ago — if we get it — thank Sarah Palin.

As far as coal and electricity production. I live in S FL and we have Florida Power & Light or FPL. FPL has pretty good rates because we have a mix (or diversity - hate that word) of power sources with nuke, coal, nat gas, purchased, etc. By have a mix of power sources - utilities can keep their costs lower.
You yank coal from the equation and your costs go up because you just have oil or nat gas and maybe nuke. Wind and solar as a majority of your sources is a pipe dream. Geothermal could be the future but not yet.
My electricity costs would go up and high elec costs are job KILLERS for businesses.

Chad,
In my opinion, the polls are flawed for a few reasons:
1. Many of them over-inflate Dem. numbers (I saw one poll that had 60% dem. 40% rep - thats not happening)
2. Many people who actually respond are likely to say they support Obama even though they don’t - and I wouldn’t even call it the “Bradley Effect”. It’s more like the “I don’t want to hear it, so I’ll say Obama effect”
3. I heard that about 80% of initial polling calls are not answered or refused. I know that I have caller ID and rarely, if ever, answer random numbers.
4. If you look at the undecided numbers, some of them are significant (about 6-10%). In my eyes, an undecided voter at this point is either not going to vote or is a closet McCain voter for some of the reasons mentioned above.
Again, just my opinion...
Obama, ACORN, CRA, Frank, Dodd, Congressional Black Caucus and all the stooges pushing Fannie and Freddie wiped out Wall Street. It was socialsm mixed with incredible moral hazard.
The people devastated on Wall Street or who work at a bank, financial svcs company, etc who vote for Obama are insane.
These numbers are nonsense, absolute nonsense. Anybody that believes these numbers is completely out of touch with reality. It’s one thing to be enthusiastic and hopeful but come on people. “Carl” from Ohio is now our source?
NJ? That would be an awesome victory if it happened. Don’t know the numbers or if Johnny Mac can beat the NJ corrupt machine’s formidable bring out ye dead vote.
The dead vote in droves here. They actually fight NOT to clear off the inactive (re: dead, moved, ineligible) voters here.
It’s horrible.
ROFLOL!!! The Doom and Gloom, Sky is Falling crowd are alive and well on here today! Did you see my post the other day where I ended it with Cheers? I couldn’t resist having some fun!
