Alameda, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Contra Costa and Marin Counties are expecting long lines again today for people wanting to vote early for the November 4 election. A record number of people are voting early this year.
San Francisco Department of Elections reports that over 21% of registered voters for the November 4 election have already casts their ballots.
This weekend lines have wrapped around county election offices with waits up to an hour to be able to vote. Offices will be open again today to handle the crowds of early voters.

Great, 95% of the Prop 8 no vote is already in...
We can now outvote them.
I think we can safely assume that the treason and Sodomy capital of the nation is going to vote solidly Obama.
Most of the same people will also be there on Tuesday voting for him again.
Would it not be justice if Cindy Sheehan beat Pelosi?
california has no id requirement right?
so how many of the 21% will vote again on the 4th.
So?
Yes BUT the framers of the Constitution were ahead of their time and foresaw what loony fringe Cali will be, so they created the electoral college. They and their ACORN ilk can vote 5 times if they want...
omg..we’re gonna lose San Fran.
lol
My guess is the only people overly excited for Obama live in urban lefty areas that McCain never had a chance to win.
Let’s concentrate on AMERICAN regions, shall we? /s
I don’t want to raise anyone’s hopes up, but even here in the heart of Mordor (Santa Clara County) I’m seeing more McCain/Palin signs than I ever saw Bush/Cheney signs. California is still probably in Lib hell, but more ‘R’ votes may come out of here this season than ever before. And ours walk and talk(in English)!
Our ‘Yes on 8’ bumperstickers were stolen from our cars.
This would make sense as most Californians didn’t even know about early voting until this year.
they have been encouraging dems to vote early to skew the polls; early voters are not new voters.
