Me too Allegra. I am still kind of sad that this many are foaming at the mouth for an obvious narcissistic pathological liar. I mean they are under some sort of spell it’s so ridiculous. I watch how people act and I just think, “Dear God, what happened to reason?” I mean you might disagree with McCain, or even Palin, but even us that LOVE Sarah aren’t in some sort of blind manic obsession over her!
It’s all so surreal. Nothing about this campaign has been right and it’s become downright frightening.

I'm with you. Keep your powder dry, because we will not capitulate to Communism without a fight. And I suspect we conservatives are better prepared as fighters. :)
It’s very surreal. If it’s any consolation, though, I was talking to some people at GOP headquarters the other day, and they said that the GOP is prepared for the “election” to go on for days if not weeks. In other words, when McCain wins, the Dems are going to start filing legal challenges and attempt to get Obama into power one way or another. But the GOP is prepared for this and Obama’s not going to get away with it.

The fatal error was that the media and others took Hitler lightly and thought he was merely a charismatic demogogue who could be controlled. The communists thought he was a bungler and a buffoon who would be easy for them to knock off when they would seize power themselves.
Hitler however followed the example of Lenin and moved with lightning speed to disable his opposition permanently and sequester all the centers of government power under his control.
The media was less influential then but Hitler's support grew most rapidly, interestingly, among the student movements and academics. Business followed Hitler first becaue he was not a communist and second he promised strength and stability at the time of the gathering great depression.
Sobering parallels. This is where the threat to America lies today. If Obama is elected he will follow suit--together with the Pelosi-Reid-totalitarian clique he will act suddenly and without delay to cripple American democracy. By 2010, elections will be a total joke, FR and the "alternative media" will be history, and we will be under seige in our own land.
