Good morning, Alas!
Just a very few days until we learn whether the media truly can decide who wins a presidential election.
I’m thinking not.
The media did get to pick the two candidates, so in a way they have decided the election. Do you know any Republican who said that John McCain was their first choice for the nomination?
This is my state, Alabama, that has some of the HIGHEST numbers for McCain, who leads here 62% to Obama’s 33%. A very conservative state, made up of people who love this country (sends, percentage wise, more of her sons and daughter into the US Military than any other state). But of course, they'll rub our noses in it, by endorsing the Zero. We're all a bunch of dumb, racist rednecks, don't you know.
Thankfully, their subscriptions, sales, and above all advertising is dropping like a flying brick.
The tide has changed in McCain's favour this last 10 days but is too late and too little I am quietly confident.
I have always believed there will be some Bradley effort to less or greater extent plus people will as you get nearer the election start to think that character not rhetorical actually matters and Rev Wright, Ayres etc I think may just be enough to put McCain over the top.
