"We cannot continue to relay only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set.
We have got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful just as strong just as well funded."
Agreed, Barak needs an American Stazi for the objectives he has set.

Have you heard his incredible list of weapons, weapons research and weapons systems that he plans to eliminate, stop or greatly reduce??? There is a video out there somewhere of it.

Probably means that the old US military will in actuality be cut by 50%, with the other 50% going into this new force.
This new “civilian force”
would become replacement for the current military of the United States, IMO. Why have two heavily armed forces with sharply contracting ideologies? One will supercede the other.

He wants to create a “force” that he would fund to be able to match our military. More likely than that to overpower it.
And that would be separate from forces already in existence, like police, etc, who take oaths to uphold the Constitution and laws of United States and respective states and jurisdictions.
I really hope McCain and Palin hit this hard in these last few days, putting the questions out to voters: WHAT exactly would this “force” be, what would be their PURPOSE, and WHY would it be necessary in this country?

Yep. He wants hundreds of thousands of quasi military enforcers answerable only to him. And he has hundreds of thousands of fanatical supporters who would be more than willing to get together in heavily armed groups of 50 or more and do his bidding.
Bothers me too. THe first time he talked about it, months ago, I gasped and said “brownshirts”,,there was thread on FR and people thought it was emplyment for black thugs and Fruits of Islam but I went back and thought of Germany.
I think McCain could have made a deal out of this. But perhaps people are scared,,inner cities, crime. So they might go along. But I don’t know if they are sophisticated or learned enough to know how dangerous this is.

Exactly. It's not like he's NOT TELLING US UP FRONT!!! Just like his socialistic 'spreading the wealth around', and huge expansion of the government and its intrusiveness, control and intimidation.
At least he's being honest about it and 'saying so upfront'.
Not to make things even worse, but remember Michelle Obama’s words “Obama is going to make you work.” Is this how they will populate this force, that they will fund?

I am not the alarmist type. This is bothering me, though. I also recall a post by a FReeper earlier today who said Obama was making jokes about being a socialist to his own crowd, all a big joke, all while the crowd laughed and had no idea they were the butt of his own big joke because they are the very suckers who’ll usher him in at their own expense.
It’s been a long day, this has to be a big joke, right?
