CHICAGO (Reuters Life!) It wasn't quite a Halloween nightmare on Obama street, but journalists on Friday drew a rare flash of anger from the normally unflappable Democratic presidential nominee.
Barack Obama had taken a break from the campaign trail for a few hours of Halloween fun at home with his family four days before the election, but ended up visibly annoyed when news crews dogged their footsteps in their Chicago neighborhood.
"That's enough. You've got a shot. Leave us alone," Obama told reporters as he walked down the block with his 7-year-old daughter Sasha in her costume on the way to a party at a neighbor's home.
Obama, usually cool in public during a campaign that has turned him into the frontrunner for the White House, did not disguise his irritation when his surprise walk caused news photographers and camera crews to scramble for position on the sidewalk.
He grew especially testy when a Polish television cameraman tried to approach them.
"Come on guys, get back on the bus," he pleaded with journalists, many of whom had accompanied him from the airport to Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood.

Before I throw you under it.
Make that daughter of Frankenstein.
LOL! Probably.
Internal polls must not look good.
“Little girls dressing up as a corpses bride and an evil fairy. Poor dears. They are raised in a home with so much negativity that they see the world as evil and ugly.”
This is very scary and revealing....they truly see a lot of evil as just normal....wow....Sarah Palin had her Piper dressed as a snow angel. BIG difference
The difference is that the Palin’s ALWAYS have their kids around - it’s SOP.
I think the last time I saw Barry with his kids was at the convention.
The Tim Burton film. If you liked Nightmare Before Christmas, you’ll probably like The Corpse Bride. She’s dead, but she’s really sweet and charming.
Of course. So far it has been rare that he hasn’t gotten his way.
She’s not a corpse’s bride. She’s a bride who’s a corpse. And, she’s not evil at all. She’s sort of a tragic figure.
And then on to the Calypso Louie domicile for a pamphlet on the destruction of Isreal.
Doesn't anyone give carmel apples anymore?
Really? I thought it went back before then, and since I had written a short story about one in the 70s, and since I'm not very artsy, I thought it must be some primal idea...something like "innocence meets death" or whatever.
In all seriousness, I can understand him not wanting the press in his face as he takes his little girl to a Halloween party.
As far as their costumes, I don’t think it reflects badly on their parents just because they are “evil” characters for Halloween. A lot of kids like to dress up as “bad” or scary characters all in fun.
When you look at the mothers it makes sense. One child has a happy, cheerful mother, the other child has a mad, snarling shrew for a mother.
I can’t believe he told them to “get back on the bus”.
Wow.
Please let this and the kicking the other reporters off the plane be a wake up call to all you sychophant media.
“Doesn’t anyone give carmel apples anymore?”
Heck no. Sickos were putting razor blades and needles in them when I was a kid and that was over 50 years ago.
Are you in a rural area?
One of the transitions for me leaving country life was the daylight trick-or-treaters, for safety, and the designated trick-or-treating days and hours, often not on Halloween.
Right you are.
0bama’s thought process (if I may be so presumptuous, painful as it is, to channel the One): “It’s those nasty racist democrats and it’s that Hillary woman. I hate America.”
Zero gets snippy like a typical metrosexual.
In my view, Obama was just using his kid for a photo op as all politicians do. It’s just that Obama sees it all slip slidin away. And, he has a temper tantrum. I feel kinda sorry for his beautiful kids.
Just vote.
Well, I don’t know about that. But, judging from the costume, I think the Obama kid is emulating the movie.
Uhh, publicity?
Are you kidding? You really don’t know why he went out in the street, not even trick or treating, but to a friend’s house up the street. He is walking hand in hand with his 7 year old. Awwww, isn’t that sweet. Dad taking the girl out on Halloween. To a nieghbor’s house. Up the road. Only one kid. Other one rode to party.
