Like it or not, the Republican Party is an “ideas-based” party and not a coalition of identity politics groups based on ethnicity, sexuality and race.

The GOP ran a solid, respectable, intelligent, capable and honest black man for the Senate from MD and how did the democrat party and their followers react? If 90 to 95 percent of Blacks vote for Democrats, then there aren’t going to be many of them who wish to run for office as a Republican.

I’d like to see more Blacks in the Republican party, but I’m not going to arrest them and force them to register Republican before they can run for office.

They’re grownups. And even if Democrats, their shills in the press, or anyone else can’t understand this, they can make big decisions for themselves. And when they do, I respect their right to do so.
