Rove and his tactics, gave us a Democratic House and Senate, now he is planting seeds of doubt on Palin, so when his crew manage to completely destroy McCain, they will Put the blame on Sarah. They do not want this woman to have any viability for a Leadership role in the Republican party.

If Sarah is not the future of the Republican Party, then there will be no Republican Party.

Senator Stevens should resign, but he won't, so that guarantees a Dem pickup, payback I guess.
