(P.S. I live in CA and it takes alot of searching to find a solid Biblically-based church in some areas.)
You cannot compare the two. It is like comparing an apple to a hamburger.
Remember, Jesus was hanging on the cross between two thieves, and they were all receiving capital punishment, yet Jesus did not say anything against the death penalty. He would have surely spoken out that the two should not be crucified with him, but he did not. If the death penalty was against God's law, then Jesus would have been GOING AGAINST the Father to allow the other two to be subjected to it.
Does Barry Obama consider himself a “born again” Christian?
Does this jabber remind anyone else of those IQ test questions?
“If all pogs are nogs and nogs are togs then...”
Nonsense.
2 thoughts:
1. Like “evangelical” the term “born again” simply doesn’t mean what it did 30 years ago. I think many in this era equate it with “believer.”. They’ve been innoculated.
2. I have a number of relatives who are of the “grandpappy voted democrat and so will I” variety. They are also conservative, fundamentalist Christians. It boggles my mind. Anything you bring up, they say, “Republicans do that, too.” or “If Republicans have been in charge, then how did it get that way if they don’t secretly support it?”
That last one, since it’s conspiracy based, is impossible to argue with.
“White evangelical Christians are voting for Obama. They are into the environment. They are against the war in Iraq.”
They will also become excommunicated when they vote for the Obamanation on Nov 4th.
I can totally see how some Evangelicals can sip the Obama Kool-aide. Heck, many of them fall traps to cult-like TV Evangelist who turn out to be total frauds.
Some of them are not real Christians at all IMO, they live through their feelings, and if something feels good they are hooked. Large crowds, cult-like charismatic leader, the feeling of the moment all come into play to these young Obamabots.
You are not kidding about finding a Bible believing church.
I grew up Methodist in Texas. I went to several Methodist and Presbyterian churches in the area. I gave up on those denominations out here.
I love all the formality of the Methodist church, but I ended up at a contemporary, small church. It meets in a school and has a contemporary worship band. I met the pastor through a friend of mine, and he has a true heart for God. I figured I could handle the contemporary format of the church if the minister was good. I’ve been there about 8 years.
Do they not realize that the alternative to shooting the wolf is the wolf eating their kids.....
There are a lot of church goers, Christians who will not back Obama....lets not forget, Christians are sinners....they too have prejudices!
What I meant is I am a Christian I will not be voting for Obama....it’s not a racial thing...it is a Pro-life thing!
I heard a discussion about this on one of our talk radio stations. A journalist from an Anchorage newspaper was talking.
According to her, the wolves actually kill the moose (the young ones). People in Alaska like to hunt moose for their food. The reason why they do the shooting by helicopter is because you cannot get to these locations easily by foot. The journalist didn’t think Gov. Palin had actually killed a wolf like that. The ones doing the killing were some sort of official (can’t remember what type of official). It wasn’t done for sport.
You can take your big tent back to DU, troll.
“She always states that Jesus would not support the killing of innocent animals from airplanes - referring to Sarah Palin and the wolfs. She is just horrified by the thought of it. Of course she lives with her boyfriend and supports abortion. She is afraid if McCain/Palin is elected then Sarah will push back woman’s rights about 50 or 60 years.”

This is just classic of the apostasy. She is more concerned over the death of an animal (wolf), shot from an airplane than an abortion of a truely incident and defenseless baby. Please ask her which is more humane. A wolf being shot with a rifle or a botched-abortion baby laid out in a linen closet slowly suffocating over a period of hours?? That infanticide that Hussein wants to spread with the FOCA makes the euthanizing of dogs and cats at animal shelters sound like paradise. Yet human babies are not even given that luxury. If anyone allowed puppies to die like post birth aborted babies are, they would be charged and sent to jail. But for human babies, it is ok with Hussein and all of his “born again christian” supporters.
Romans 1 mentions one of the traits of the apostasy: the lack of nature affection.
Actually, I meant that as a joke.
I would not be so sure it is total crap. Some people think Obama is the embodiment of Christ. Not sure if I am allowed to post a link but will and see if it goes thru.
Be prepared to be SHOCKED!

I have been trying to better understand this for some time. It would seem the 20 and 30 somethings (post-moderns) don’t believe in Truth with a capital “T.” Therefore, you can have “your own truth” concerning abortion and sexual lifestyle.
Also, they confuse what individuals should prctice with what government should do in the areas of “giving.” They see Democrats/Obama as loving the poor and hating war. This works for them.
I think the schools and society have done a better job of teaching Truth than the Church. I hope we can turn that around.
“Of course she lives with her boyfriend and supports abortion.”
She is a fornicator and an accomplice to infanticide.
I have preached from the pulpit myself that there are many people out there who CLAIM to be Christian - even "Born Again" Christians, who are not. False conversions happen on a regular basis. Add to that the growth of some rather theologically "loose" preachers and churches, and it is no wonder.
Anyone who believes the Bible is true, cannot possibly vote for anyone who favors abortion on demand
Matthew 7:21-27
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
