Senator Barack Obamas infomercial drew 33.5 million U.S. viewers Wednesday night, according to Nielsen.
The simulcast the first of its kind since Ross Perot ran a political telecast on the eve of Election Day in 1996 aired on CBS, FOX, NBC, Univision, BET, MSNBC, and TV One between 8pm and 8:30pm EST.
Perots 1996 telecast drew almost 22.7 million viewers.
On an average Wednesday night, these networks draw a combined average of 30.3 million average viewers during the that half-hour daypart.
In comparison, the final debate between the two presidential candidates drew 56.5 million U.S. viewers on October 15. The candidates first debate on September 26 drew 52.4 million viewers; their second debate, on October 7, drew 63.2 million viewers.

33.5 million watched, so the real question is, how many did not.........count me into the did NOT watch group!
Odd.
The other reports said a TOTAL of 17.5, which added up to only about 22 million.
Nope, not me. Watch DVD of Celine in Vegas. What a show!!!!
The only thing missing was the pillars and Leni Riefenstahl.
Is that true? I have several DVRs with my DirecTV but only one of them is “TiVo” (others are DTV’s DVR service). If TiVo ties to Nielson, I’m dumping it for DTV’s DVR instead.
I think I remember Dukakis getting all wonky during his campaign, and we all know how that worked out.
Since Obama’s voice makes my skin crawl, I wasn’t one of them.
They are able to get direct ratings from cable & satellite customers through their *box*. They can estimate the rest. For this reason, they can knock of four points due to me looking for a station that did not have Hussein on and I hit his show four times in a few seconds while surfing.
I'm not comforted by it at all. He has proven he is very, very good at wasting a lot of money. If he manages to win, he will burn through our tax dollars in an effort to spread the wealth by subsidizing poverty.
Well, lookey here. After the BIG BROBAMA JUMPS THE SHARK INFOMERCIAL, the One sends his supporters an email and asks for . . .
MO MONEY!

Nielsen’s timeshift methodology sounds solid to me - count it as a view if it occurs within 3 hours of airing. Some delay in reporting is due to time for data collection and tabulation.
33,500,000 viewers for Hussein.
Walter Mondale got 37,577,352 votes in 1984.
Just musing.
Rush’s daily audience: 22-—28 million (est)
Wild a$$ guess audience totals for
2nd, 3rd, & 4th stringers: 20——30 million (est)
Possi ‘daily’ conservative radio totals: 40-—50 million (est)
Fox News reach: 10-—20 million (est)
Conservative/right Blogosphere: ?? 20-—30million (est)
Is it possible that conservative thought reaches 100 million daily?
Information outlets that honestly present opposing views have experienced increased audiences since the BM bent-over for obama.
If anyone has concrete numbers, please share.
Just thinkin’ out loud for the bene’ of my fellow FReepers.

I truly hate McDonalds, I would rather eat liver raw than eat at McDonalds; but when the gf suggested going to McDonalds and grabbing something to eat, I jumped at the chance just so I wouldn’t have to watch His Royal Anus’ infomercial.
So Obama actually helped opposing network numbers. ROFL
Listening to his voice makes my skin crawl. I skipped it.
I would prefer to watch the grass grow!
