Signs posted in front and beside mailboxes at a post office location where I dropped off mail tonight.
If it was at the headquarters of the unions, that'd be one thing. But in this case, would this be considered federal property? Would it be considered election engineering since this is where people will be dropping off vote-by-mail ballots? Should I bother complaining to the post office and registrar of voters? Should I post another vanity?

That is on public grounds and would be illegal IMO.
Just remove them; too easy. It’s not private property if on federal property. This is no different than if you were in the wilderness, right in the middle of a National Forest, and you removed the litter left behind.

I’d take the pic immediately to the local GOP headquarters as well as to the Postmaster and complain quite forcefully.
I might even ask the Postmaster when would be a good time to suggest that the FBI might connect with him most conveniently to interview him about it.
If you can’t put a cross or a nativity scene there for Christmas you shouldn’t be able to put anything up about the O Messiah.
If those signs are on Postal Service property, that has to be a violation of the Hatch Act. You should report it to the Postmaster immediately.

At the very least unethical. But yes, probably not legal. But don’t let that concern you so much, the truth is you should be more worried about what some idiot(s) may do to your or your nieghbors propety if they have a front yard posted sign supporting anything other than the “O”.

I’m not sure that associating Obama with the postal system works to his advantage.
I can’t even put a political bumpersticker on my mail vehicle, if I recall correctly. I certainly cannot wear any political shirts or buttons.
Maybe someone should walk in there saying they took a picture of the sign and were doing an article about policing of unions on the job on public property and see what transpires.
