Authorities at the University of Kentucky are trying to find out who hung an effigy of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on campus.
College spokesman Carl Nathe said it was found hanging from a tree Wednesday morning. Police immediately took it down.
School President Lee Todd says that he plans to personally apologize to the Obama family on behalf of the university and that he is "personally offended and deeply embarrassed by this disgusting episode."
It's the second time an effigy has been found on a college campus recently. Earlier this week, George Fox University in Oregon said it was punishing four students who confessed to hanging a likeness of Obama from a tree.
Only if it’s Palin, it’s a hate crime if it’s Obama. No double standards here folks, move along.
Hey your right. Thanks to Larry Flint we can call it a parody of the Palin effigy in Hollywood and it’s okay.

How do they know it’s an effigy of Obama? Maybe it’s Buckwheat.
It’s just an artistic expression to me.
Bingo! As an interesting experiment, someone should take one for the team and hang a Palin effigy on their lawn one week and then an Obama effigy the next. See which one gets attention from the authorities.

To be fair, what with plugs’ white ‘hair’ and all, a Biden effigy would easily be mistaken for a McCain effigy.

most of the students on the college campus couldn’t identify o’biden, even if he got drunk and fell on them...
Plus the Palin effigy was created by what appeared to be a couple of gay guys.....no doubt that had something to do with it being acceptable.
Whoever did it, it’s wrong & stupid. Apologies from people who didn’t do something are downright silly.
I do, just saying it’d be difficult to ‘execute’ in practice. Now a pantsuit-wearing Hillary, on the other hand...
