Dennis Prager, talk-radio host related his gut-wrenching decision
at casting his first vote for a Republican...due to the multi-generational
family loyalty to the Democrats. (Prager is an observant Jew,
of the "Conservative" strain.)
And he's had a number of other Jewish callers relate their stuggle
to mark the ballot for candidates with an "R" by the name.

But I suspect that if Obama is really exposed as a true friend
of some Palestinian/Islamic terrorist/organizer, there will be
a fair number of Jewish voters vote R. What that "fair number" is,
well that's above my paygrade.

Not all, by any means. At my synogogue, upwards of 80% are voting for McCain. Many are disaffected Dems, to be sure, but many are dyed-in-the-wool conservatives.

Things have changed somewhat since the days when most Jews were poor immigrants.

As for me, my paternal grandfather ran from the Communists in 1923. His father, a somewhat wealthy man (because he worked his fingers to the bone) lost everything to them, including the ability to be able to see two of his children for the rest of his life (those that came to the US). I was raised knowing the evils of the Left, and I will never support them (as with most of my family).

I'd like to see the Rush quote that says that all Jews are Liberals.

I don't believe that he said that because the statement is clearly idiotic. A majority of Jews may be Liberal ... that I won't dispute. But to broad brush an entire group of people is just plain stupid.

There are a bunch of Jews that happen to be conservative right here on FR.
