Obama’s campaign manager offers 3 million dollars to API in connection with Michelle Obama tape to be aired by Fox News Network Posted by africanpress on October 29, 2008
Six hours after the release of information by API on the planned broadcast by Fox News Network of the Michelle Obama tape, in accordance with an agreement that has been reached between API and Fox News Network, API was contacted by Obama’s Campaign Manager.
Those who are close to the democratic presidential candidate must be desperate to win the elections no matter what, otherwise they would not have taken such bold step to contact API with an offer of a bribe in order to stop the airing of the tape.
Obama’s campaign manager contacted API by telephone and email offering 3 million US dollars followed with a request to API to cancel the deal with Fox News Network.
Ten days ago API received the first request to accept 2 million US dollars by Mr Ed Hale, President of Plains Radio, Texas - USA, in an effort to suppress the information from reaching the public before the coming US Presidential elections.
API has now taken a decision to contact the American Embassy in Oslo, Norway as soon as possible in order to report the matter and hand over the evidence for investigative purposes.
API’s Canadian lawyer is expected to fly to Oslo shortly in order to assist in the legal matters that arise from the bribery attempt.
API’s Chief editor is expected to travel to New York, together with the Canadian lawyer, where he will appear live in one of the shows that will air the Michelle Obama tape.
This reminds me of a card game called Bull S***. In the game when you know someone is bluffing, you simply yell out Bull S***.
I am calling Bull S*** on this.
If you have evidence that Obama’s campaign even offered $1 for this so called tape, then have some walnuts and post the evidence. Otherwise stop wasting our time.
October surprises come and go but the biggest surprise IMHO is this, get off you @sses and vote.

Has Fox announced they are obtaining said tape? This noise is well, just noise.

not sure of your intentions- in wanting to shut down all analysis of this—
however ask yourself how does this outfit “LEGALLY” get away with making changes like this..now to include the 3 mil angle, attaching Obama campaign..if there is not some truth to it? This is now moving into falsehoods that can prove n as slander —or worse if untrue.
Does he have a tape of the conversation with the Obama campaign Chair offering the money? If they don’t they are fools because that would actually be a huge story. Talk about HUSH money.
However, it does give some explanation as to why the Obama camp is sytematically trying to paint Fox as in the Tank for McCain. So that if a story does air on fox they will call it B.S. and biased.

No, these stories shouldn't be banned, and they don't make "us" look stupid. On the contrary, the skepticism runs deep on Free Republic.
The mere presence of these articles stimulate discussion about the merits (or lack thereof) -- the same as every other non-vanity posting. That's what FR is for.
I've posted on other threads why I think this is bogus, and I'll probably post to this thread as well.
This could be good. LET us leave no stone unturned in this election. Time is critical.

I see, I see others feel the same way you do about API, maybe I was just hoping it was true, that would be one Great October Surprise.
Simple, API is a wordpress blog, anyone can create one and write anything they want.. I can create a Australian Press International blog tomorrow and say that I have a tape of Obama sacrificing a goat to Chairman Mao- heck, I could even string folks along with build ups, fake relationships with news agencies, etc. It is called.. wait for it... fiction...

Just expressing my OPINION that it’s bogus, and makes us look foolish.
Supposedly it’s a tape in which she says Barack was born in Hawaii and adopted by his step father and there is no shame in that.
What is supposedly important about this tape is it’s the first confirmation of anyone knowing Obama personally who says he was adopted...i.e. what is his legal name etc? is he a fraud?
I doubt any of this is true.
