I have been in politics since my high school days. I have run three city council races, two assembly campaigns, one US senate race and a congressional race and have worked in countless other campaigns. I think I know a thing or two about campaigns. Nothing trumps and organized and exited base and a galvanized grass roots. Nothing beats the self interest of the public when that self interest crosses party lines and puts nation first. We have a week left. Elections like battles in war are won by those who show up.

It's a very simple numbers game. We can't afford to lose this one. Do it for yourself, do it for your children, do it for the future.

Organize, organize, organize, get out every vote you can.

Your neighbor is waiting for you to act, if you wait for him it won't get done.

WE CAN WIN THIS! WE MUST WIN THIS! THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICE!

Bump and Amen!

Everyone needs to forget about the polls, just consider them propaganda from people who want our side to lose.

The only poll that matters is to GET OUT THE VOTE!

BUT if we don't(WIN)...

Preparations for that situation should be considered NOW..
Like become financially liquid, and simplify all positions..

What is NOT said is that John McLAim is good friends with many vicious and malignant democrats.. and has a tendency to be bipartisan.. McLaim has no problem with bending over and assuming the position with democrats.. So then. even if "we win", we might have lost.. Except that republicans will get the "BLAME" for democrat socialism.. Once a republican president SIGNS legislation HE OWNS IT...

It might be better (in the long run) if Obama WINS..

I plan to work on the campaign in Virginia 35 to 40 more hours between now and next Tuesday evening. I volunteer full-time starting Saturday. I’ve done about 15 hours so far mostly on phones but also some door knocking. Turnout is everything. Personal contacts help our turnout.

Find your nearest Victory HQ by going to www.johnmccain.com; look on the right side a little bit down the page and you can select your state and find out how to participate.

PING TO 2 MUST-READS by FReeper Cacique

I hope that you will make the time to read them both for the sake of our country's future.

Part One: An Appeal to Grass Roots America Part 1!

Part Two: YES WE CAN! WE CAN WIN! WE MUST WIN!

Thank you very much for writing and posting both Part One and Two. I am sent them to my lists here on the Free Republic and will send them out to others as well. Well done. You made simple what many cannot and I thank you. I don't have the past life experience you do but I have a surreal nightmare vision of what life would be like in a socialist state under 0bama and a leftist Congress and I fear for my children.

I found the words when they were needed, wrote it out and posted it on JimRobinson's thread Ok, FReepers, time to "turn to!" All hands on deck! Man your battle stations!! expressing as clearly and honestly as I could why I was voting Republican this election even while I as a conservative without a like front-runner candidate struggled with that decision.

I too believe our country this is a battle to save our country, and hoping others will see it that way as well.

I wish I could find the link but someone once posted EXTREMELY useful information about how the REPUBLICAN TURNOUT controls EVERY ELECTION!!!!!!!!!!

It showed very convincing statistics that show democrap turnout is relatively constant every election, and so the race is won or lost by how many Republicans turn out to vote.

SO FOR GOD'S SAKE GET OUT AND VOTE~!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for this thread.

There are really great ideas here.

btw, I just started a thread to ask people to make calls right from their own homes:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2116755/posts

You an choose which state you wish to call, so I chose a battleground state.

Today I made 207 calls for McPalin. Attended the McCain rally in Kettering Ohio and brought 6 volunteers to the phone bank with me - just today!

We really can do this! The phone banks are capacity-only near me and volunteers are eager and ready!

Keep FIGHTING! Keep CAMPAIGNING! Keep POSITIVE!
